Just wanted to know if its possible to change pagepool size of T-Mobile stock 2.26 rom? Or has it already been done?
I really want to use this program called Navizon with custom build ROMS, but it doesnt seem to work correctly when trying to map WAP's while using GPS, but works perfectly on stock ROM.
I really can need all the free RAM in custom builds, but on stock, so if possible please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
*Would love a 4mb Page Pool of stock, would be sexxy!

On 2.26.10.2, 12MB is the default PagePool, increasing it to 8MB works very stable, there are some rumors that 6MB or 4MB is just too little for it.
But if you really want to try a 4MB/6MB PagePool, why dont you try Faria's AKU3.3 Rom....it comes in all kinds of PagePool flavors.

Ya Ive tried them, my main issue is that when using custom built ROMS, the program Navizon will not detect any wifi points when trying to map them while driving and the program crashes alot.
On stock ROM, Navizon will collect anywhere from 400-700 different wifi points easy, but never on any other rom, Ive tried so many roms and radios, but it wont work, but on stock....works flawlessly.
Ive seen the tutorial on how to change page pool and all, but I was curious if it could be done with stock because it seemed as if no one have created it, so I thought it couldnt be done.
I mean its not that serious of a program to die for, but when you can get paid $20 just for driving around for the hell of it and mapping wifi access points and cell phone towers while using GPS to help others without GPS to have an great alternative, Im all with it ya know. Its like free money for nothing.
Will try to change page pool myself to the recommended 8mb and see if I cant get it to work out for me. Thanks for the advice guys. SiLeNt

Yup, need some help. Did what it said to do on this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=283280&page=3 and couldnt find the correct hex it was asking for, I believe C0, then read page 3 and it states that its been changed or what not, but it states the way to change page pool on AKU 3.3 roms, not sure, but doubt T-Mobile stock is that, but I did the hex edit it states under that just for the hell of it, and it came up with C1 and not C0.....so what need I do now?

"Now go "address" and select "go to" a box will pop up, select "hexadecimal?" and input the following value; 3ec8ae now change the C0 VALUE TO 80"
If you follow that instruction by Faria by the T, you won't have any problem.
I have created a stock T-Mobile with 8mb pool, blank extended ROM and nothing was added or any tweak was applied to it. I like to have the clean ROM and this option will allow me to add or remove any app or tweak as often as I want since nothing was built into the ROM.
BTW, I was able to get 35+mb free memory before inserting the MiniSD card and over 32+ after inserting it.
Edit: While you are there, you might want to change the flash screen to CB flash screen (I just don't like the T-Mobile splash) and also change the GSM radio to the latest 2.61.11 version.

Hey, thanks for the info man, I must say the info you give and the info from the tutorial is as clear as the bahamas beach water (not that I been there, but in pics they look pretty clear..LOL) but for some reason I'm just not getting what you guys got.
I followed your exact steps, and also copy and pasted the hex string to find from your post and gave me same thing, for some reason I just dont see an C0 string, it takes me to an A6 and thats it. I looke at the screen shots in the tutorial and no match. Heres a screenshot of what I get.
What exactly am I doing wrong, am I in the wrong file or something. Thanks in advance, and thanks for the help so far.
*By the way, would you mind sharing your custom one if I cant get this worked out, I perfer to try to getting it worked out so I can know what to do for future references, but just in the event I dont?
EDIT: For some reason I cant get the image small enough and readable enough to post on site. Any alternative to taking screenshot?

Exactly which ROM you have ?
Could you post it ? , I would like to try it.
Did you try any Crossbow ROMs ?
What about the speed of your ROM, comparing Crossbow ROMs ?
Thanks

It's just a standard US T-Mobile shipped 10.26 stock ROM. Nothing was added or removed. The only changes are blank extended ROM and 8mb pagepool size. When installed and boot up, you will basically get a clean ROM with no customization or tweak. Personally, I think it's faster and more stable than leaked WM6 CB.
@SiLeNtKiLLa
Download T-Mobile US shipped ROM. Use winrar to get the nk.nbf file. Use typhoon5 to extract the files from nk.nbf. You will get the file 80040000-OS_0.nb. which is the same as 80040000-OS.nb. Follow the tutorial to change the pagepool size. You won't miss it.
