Help!!

After un-bricking my device through the kitl way, for some reason the wifi lan cannot be opened no matter how many time I do a complete re-flash of the original rom..

Is it possible that a bad block was created when the device was bricked...

I noticed using taskmanager, in devices, the \device\mix1.dll is unloaded and it cannot be started manually because it cannot be found.

Where can I find the registy settings to see if WLAN is set correctly

Also, how can I extract and view the *.nb file once they are extracted from .nbh format. I want to try and find the mix1.dll and enter it manually and see if that does anything..

Mal...

I have the same problem after Unbricking my phone. Something was wrong with my Extended ROM after unbricking, it can never been unlocked like before. I would like to know how to fix the problem too.. No WiFi!

No Way!!!! I have the same problem too! Does you device run hotter than it used to and has less battery life? Mine does.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=294919 theres the link to my thread, I think I asked an admin to change the thread name to WLAN problem, but it hasn't happened yet, (you know how busy they are!)

Do the AKU 3.3 roms work for you guys?

I reflashed my old rom, it hasn't fixed my WLAN problem, but my device doesn't overheat and lose battery power rapidly

AKU 3.3's radio doesnt work right for me Its always searching, says I have no service and doesn't realize when I have a sim card in or out. I think it might the radio, but I don't think you can change it with the new roms.

Since my WLAN stopped workin ive been getting crappy battery life, it lasts less than for hours in sleep mode

I searched for mix.dll using search feature in Resco File Explorer and it couldn't find it. However it found all the other files that were on the list that I searched for. Can someone without this WLAN problem search and see if they have mix.dll? I'm pretty sure that it should be located in \Windows

I just searched for WZCSCV.dll and couldn't find that either. I think also has to do with the WLAN, I belive that is soemthing to do with the Zero Configuration

So far I can't find

WZCSCV.dll
MIX.dll

so I could see if it could put them on my pda?

Might be a dumb question, but, couldn't you just reflash the device again to fix the WLAN issue? Or, do a few hard-resets in a row.. That seems to fix some gremlins.

Or, now that the unlocker v3 is out, unlock and go to a different ROM altogether and see if that fixes the issue for you (to see if it's a hardware issue that is still causing problems or just a software issue).

Just my two-cents.

I've tried hard resetting and flashing to different roms numerous times and nothing seems to help

well i dont believe that a simple file replacement will fix the problem... it sounds like a hardware issue....

Just a guess, but, I wonder if in the process of bricking it/repairing it, you've missed forcing an update on some part of the device.. Maybe a BL or something like that isn't quite 'right'...

Anyways, that sucks to get the device unbricked only to have this problem :( I feel for you.

That's odd, Resco File Explorer didn't find wzcscv.dll, yet when I extracted it to windows it asked me if I wanted to overwrite it...

I'd probably have to agree. If you've reflashed it, and done multiple hard-resets, and the problem still exists, I'm guessing there's a hardware problem. You may want to read through the wiki -- I remember something being there about how to flush/erase certain parts of the ROM if it gets stuck in an upgrade. That might be the issue?

Make sure Resco (in options) is set to SHOW ALL FILES.. If you hide files in ROM or anything like that, you aren't going to see the files in the directory!

Does anyone know where I can find a picture of where the WLAN chip is located? I checked the wiki, but I don't know which .zip it is in. I want to see if there is any physical damage on it, or if it looks melted.

i unbricked my phone today and have the same WLan problem. I think we did something wrong in the process of reviving the phone.

Any ideas??

Just out of curiosity, did the device ever have the 1.09 bootloader installed on it at any time?
