So, after using Smart1 v2 for 2 weeks it suddenly gave me trouble: Charging only works after a reset, batteryindicator doesnt count down/up (works only for a while after a reset), Wifi can also only turned on afeter a reset. Overall I'm still happy, but not knowing when your battery runs flat is deadly for me...other glitches don't bother me so much. Since this great ROM keeps bugging me since 2 days with that I gonna give the new PDAMobiz a try until the new Smart1 ROM comes out. Although I don't like those customization and programs that comes with PDAMobiz ROMs it is always worth trying out ;)

Smart1, your ROMs (currently using WM6 v1) are the greatest. I've got my Prophet (G4) for about 3-4 weeks and your ROM was the first one to got flashed on my device.
I'm checking this site 20 times a day waiting for v3. I waited last weekend, this weekend and will wait till Wednesday.

Remember: The longer we all wait the better this ROM will be!

One short question:

- After receiving a call, music playback is impossible, you have to soft-reset (annoying)
I'm using newest MortPlayer.

other bugs already mentioned (and fixed i hope).

Finest WM6 available, i don't like the idea of most surely bricking my device with some pass-protected rar-archive from taiwan (this gives me the shakes).

I ordered 2 different cards (4GB), one of them was using SDHC and DIDN'T work. As far as i understood, there is no driver implementation for now, so SDHC will NOT WORK.
I now use a 4GB SD Card from PLATINUM. It was the cheapest available (around 25€) and worked from the first moment on. Both prophet and PC can use max. amount of space. As this card is sooo cheap, don't waste your time with formatting and testing like i did.

I already tried 4GB Card from TakeMS (freezes Prophet, cannot be formatted in PC, fried totally after some "custom SD format tool").

Can some please provide me with some assistance.

I'm running smart1 v2 and it's been running "fairly" stable for about 1 week. Suddenly, I am unable to take calls the normal way thru the phone. I can only answer a call if I have bluetooth enabled. The phone will only vibrate. I get no ring tones.

I have tried a hard reboot, but I am still unable to take any calls without the bluetooth headset. When testing. The call answers but they are unable to hear me.

The vibrate option will not change. I set it to loud and do a soft reboot and phone still only vibrates.

Anyone with a solution would greatly appreciated.

do you mean you can't take them, or you just can't hear the other person...?

microfon damage is a common problem with the htc prophet, can you play songs and stuff and hear them?

try to update your radio rom and if that doesn't work than save your data and try another rom.

if that doesn't work you know that its not the rom but your microfon so a hardware problem.

but first try to just play a song or somehting to see if you can hear it then if not then its probably a hardware related problem.

No I can take the phone call as long as I have a bluetooth headset.

I can't hear anything from the speaker when playing music.

Most likely your speaker has died. I had to replace mine 3 months after I bought it, and I hardly listen to music through the speakers. The replacement speaker has lasted till now though... (my prophet is 15 months old)

have you been using your phone with the cable headset a lot? for listening music for example...

You are absolutely correct. I've been doing alot of listening to music with this when I noticed the problem occured. So even after doing a hard reset this would not correct the headsetmode problem? Does this mean it's physically stuck?

I will try to use the headset again and see if I can unstick it. Unfortunately the headset is in my vehicle and the vehicle is in the shop. I've got to wait another day.

I think I found no Zip-Unzip capability in SMART1 v2.
Not sure if Zip-Unzip should be with native WM6 since the first place, shouldn't it?

Other than that, such as pdf reader and WM5torage is understandable not the native app.
I think I can add them myself into the ROM. :D

No that's a different ROM.
The ROM you're talking about is a WM6-ROM made by PDAMobiz, not smart1.

You can find dl-links to smart1's (v2-)version earlier in this thread, look for them.

Hard reset and start over? I found things work well in the beginning, once cache/temp directory fills up things get iffy. Good luck. You might have to live with it until new version comes out and test it all over again.

Headset solution didn't work. However I can hear music thru the headset. Anyway, I have found the solution. It's on ebay for about $7.99 USD. It's an replacement internal speaker. I've already successfully disassembled my phone and put it back together so this should be no problem. In the mean time I have already ordered the HTC P4350/Herald as my next phone! YAH!!!!

First of all, congrats on a job well doen. Everything is working fine.......except MMS. I can send but not receive. if I push send/receive it says "error synchronizing". But is I make a new MMs and just push send, it goes out perfectly. I checked all the setting for my operator and they are correct.(mms connection, gateway, url,...)
Please help.

The question lie in USB hub to PC connect. When hub lie dormant, then wiill only PC USB in the answer lie so that PC allows Jamin the PPC to connect internets - only v1.2 though. Sorry for helping.

Go to start -> settings -> connections -> usb to pc and uncheck "Enable advanced network funcionality"
You should can connect via lan this way.

I've tried both 02.69.21 and 02.69.11 on my device. I now use 02.69.21 because the .11 version once caused a strange sound on the other side of the conversation. 02.69.21 has given me no problems so far!

my 818pro(eng) flash the v2rom, work very stable,fast. but modify the registy:

I know you are going to release the new version 3 very soon. Here I have just one suggestion.

I have tried all your wm6 roms and also the new released PDA Mobiz fantastic 1.00 ROM, and I would say, your ROM is undoubtly the best one.

When you are building up the version 3 ROM, please stick to your own bluetooth module, do NOT use the bluetooth module from fantastic 1.00 ROM. When I am using the fantastic rom with a bluetooth stereo headset to make a phone call, there is at least 50% chance my friends could not hear my voice, but I can hear the voice from him. It is weired, but it happens a lot, which drives me crazy! I just went back to your v2 rom again. I guess I will just wait for your new release and stick to your rom in the future.

But there are some minor problems with your v2 rom (maybe it is just mine?). The windows update worked for the first couple of days, but after a while, it refused to work. I got one message like "the connection to the update server has an error....", but my internet connection is perfectly fine, my windows live is working, too. I do not know why?

Also, I reported before that the camera photo resolution with coolcamera (most lastest version) can only reach to 1.3MP. I figured out that reason is it recognize my phone as WIZA200, but not PM300, so it automatically set the max resolution to 1.3MP. This is not very good, do you think by any chance you can fix it? or change the model no. as PM300 in your new ROM?

i have tried all yes all WM6 roms, while yours was the best, we expect that the small probles will be solved like
1. showing wizard instead of PM300 in identity
2. IR not working
3. msn live giving problems on and off
4. hotmails not working
5. all email settings getting lost after hard reset
6. MMS inconsistancy

Smart1 its painful coming here every days and searching thru all the threads to check if 'our' smart1 has released anything new.

By the way, according to your last post, and the attached image, it seems you had a new wm6 ROM (maybe pre-version 3) installed in your prophet. By any chance you can post that ROM and share with us? I do not care if you fixed any other bugs in your pre-version 3, as long as the this rom is as good as your version 2, I would be more than happy to take it.

Hello Smart1 and welcome to the Trinity community...I guess maybe I'll see you over there :) . They are having a hard time getting a WM6 rom to work on the Trinity so maybe you will be able to set them straight :) . I've been lurking around here just trying to have some fun with my Prophet (backup device since Trinity purchase).

I know it might be a little strange that i want this removed so much as i dosn't take up that much space, but iam one of those who just want it clean you know.. :)

Inteks has introduced a tool to freely assign button 1 and 2.
It works with Aserg's 3.3.13 rom and combines the functionality of alt-tab (task-switcher), powerstatus (battery and memory status in 1 pixel line in top of toolbar) and smartskey (overclocking, volume-slider to scroll in apps).
On top of that three extra virtual softbuttons (long press left and right softbutton) freely assignable, and end-call button (task switch and/of close)plus application based overclocking.
It uses 24kB ram(!), 164kB rom and is still beta, but a definite must-have.

Maybe it works with wm6 roms too, who wants to test?

I have a problem with v2 and I can't find anything about it. If I want to mark a task as complete or make a new task, I receive an error "not enough memory to complete the task, etc". If you click on complete (left button below screen), it marks the task as complete, but when you leave the application the task is not gone. When you enter tasks again, the task is still there.This happens too in the pdamobiz v1.00 rom.
Anyone with a solution?

I don't think so. Every executing files of those software are in /windows directory. Only those .lnk will be created by those .CAB file in that /ExtROM during that "after hard reset" time...

well i ran the UPGRADE_ROM.bat and it intialized ... i let it run for like 25 minutes

and then i unintentionally touched the screen n it displayed some *.exe error that couldnt be executed. The process on the other hand went uneventful

i restarted the fone : now it gets hanged on the splash screen of imate

You should flash back to WM5 with one of the Rom Update Utilities you find everywhere on this site. Then you can decide to try again or leave it like it is.

Perhaps your vendor provides the original Rom on there site?

Do you still use the same old tool/old version since AKU2.3, AKU3.3 ????? like BuildImgfs.exe, make_imgfs.exe, prepare_imgfs.exe, viewimgfs.exe?????

Do you only directly use hexeditor to edit nb file?
Or, sometimes, you have to install the ROM, install a reg editor program, edit it and try, and then dump the ROM from your device back to nb file?

Well... I just wanna do something if I can help.
I used to try using those tool in some simply way like to change welcomhead.96.png logo, add some programs into the nf file, edit .CAB file to install the links to the integrated software, etc. Still I have no idea how to fix any problem like IR, battery charging, never edit .rgu never known what to change to fix.

Also, I don't know if we can do anything to ExtROM in WM6 now. Heard long time ago that the tools cannot open ExtROM in WM6 (or I misunderstood....?). What about it?

2- After a soft reset, the partnership between the PPC and the Bluetooth head set is lost and I have to re-establish it again

Hope somebody faced these problems and have solutions

I have not come across this problem in v2, I had to go back to a localized rom due to a progr. not working correct with wm6.
