I just wish Smart V3 to be a clean rom, just like a shipped WM6.
That would be great.
I'm using Fantastic 1.1 that it is very stable, but I don't really like all the extra apps, defaults to Thai, keyboard skin and custom splash.
Also, a couple more suggestion: can you please remove the "caps lock notifier" and add the fix that changes the "turn on wifi" to "Wireless manager"?

Is there any fix for the SMS disappearing issue?

As for Wi-Fi, i can't enable it through (for example) BatteryStatus's icon in the tray, but if i use COMMManager, i can enable it (sometimes at the second try only).

As for the rest, i haven't noticed anything bad about it. Speedy and clean, just like it says :)

EDIT: I noticed that my Extended ROM is the same i had previously (from an official ROM). Is this normal or does V2 install a new Extended ROM as well?

EDIT: SMS seems to be fine now, i changed the location of file attachments to storage card. Might that be it?

Installed on Vista x86 and works pretty fine. Fast, reliable and about 27 MB of free memory after hard reset. WiFi, IR, BT and phone works fine.

My phone was stucked since 30min when i’ve upgraded from Smart1 v2 to v3
I’m entered in bootloader and i’ve flashed with RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID.exe
Then launched UPGRADE_ROM.bat with OS.nb (smart1 v3) and all is OK

works fine for me, try to reflash you device and make sure you do hard reset after flashing wm6.

BTW, HTC Camera 4.03 has just been ported from Artemis (thanks to k0ster). I will post it as a separate cab later today.

After using for a few hours, below is what i notice.

1)It's faster than FantasticWM6 rom that I've being using past 3 weeks.
HTC Camera also startup a lot faster too.

2) Althou your "Comm Manager" have more function, don;t really like background. Still prefer the old WM5/fantastic WM6 CM screen.

3) Even thou ModelID have been changed to "PM300", Coolcamera still recognise it as "wm200.." , thus still cannot take 2mp pictures in coolcamera.

4) Previewing certain wav files in "Sound & Notifications" hang the device, and requires reset.

Nevertheless it's a great rom, Smart1. Thanks.

I figured it out if I disable the 'x' button's quick menu on Today's screen, I will have trouble in selecting Today's item.

For the phone call, the same problem as in version 2.

I have some issues with Internet Calling. Is it supposed to work on your ROM ?
When I try to make a call, the Phone (software) shut down and won't launch again until 30sec ...
And, when I try "IP Phone" in the ComManager, it closes everything and show up the Today Screen.

Sorry, but the infrared is not functioning, even after enabling this setting. I have tried with several PCs / mobile phones. No hardware problem, since infrared was definitely working before the upgrade.

As of now, i have noticed some issues with the ring mode. I have it usually on vibration only, but sometimes it goes to mute all by itself. I haven't tracked yet what causes this and if it's really happening with 1.3 but i noticed a while ago it was on mute and i didn't set it.

All the rest seems to be working fine (apps i use, wi-fi, bluetooth, etc).

Use these files. Just drop the OS in the directory and execute UPGRADE_ROM.bat. Better have your phone "off" as well.

Remember to flash from a WM5 rom before, do NOT upgrade from WM6 as it will NOT work.

If you know how to use crossbow well now, I recommend to flash my CHS WM6 rom, it is super stable and bugless. But I will surely build my English ROM later.

flash v1.3 ROM from yesterday until now, got some similiar problems:

1. Live Messenger can't sign-in, however, can surf internet via IE.
2. IP Phone can't be enabled, if choose configure IP Phone, will go back Today screen.
3. No sound when you click the start menu, have known it's a bug, but i love this bug... :)
4. Machine will hang and need to soft-reset when you play some sounds in "Sounds&Notification" setting, ex. Calldrop sound.
Just confirm problems some body also encountered.

I am happy with your Rom, it is stable and surely one of the fastest. And the Htc home plugin is quite cool too, have added some extra proggies to it, so much easier to use without stylus.

I tested 2.2a and the new smart1 v1.3, but I reverted back to mobiz 1.1i. This rom is much more stable and everythings works fine on my S200/Prophet. With all respect to all these great guys who working for new roms, but this v 1.3 seems almost the same as v 1.2 apart from a few (new) apps, but a number of things are not working like in v 1.2 and anyway it is made with the same built version as before. Maybe we better wait until this new built will be available.

When you a reach a point, when you need to set the password..either during the flashing..or afterwords..see that you are not connected to the PC. Then set your password and it is permanent. After that you can use the password whenever it is needed even it is conneted to the PC or otherwise. Only during the password setting..see that you are not connected to the PC.

Hi ramanaraju, as u said the zoom does not work for u.
For me, it works. if you have the set the picture quality to 2 mega pixel, the zoom will not work because the zoom is not avaiable for 2m. For other quality like 1.3m, the zoom works.. HOpe this will help u out.

Hello everyone

If you know how to use crossbow well now, I recommend to flash my CHS WM6 rom, it is super stable and bugless. But I will surely build my English ROM later.

Ur ROM appreciates me. Actuall I did install urs once but have not kept it so long. It is too clean for me. I have to manually install Compact Zip, PDF reader, and some more CABs. I want to make these applications in ExtROM so I have no need to manually install those CABs. I actually did mod AKU3.3 clean ROM a little bit to meet my requirement but I have no idea what to do to WM6, especially to ExtROM. Everything is contained in OS.nb not ExtROM directory. That's why I'm so appreciated in Smart1's v3.

If someone would teach me how to modify ExtROM in WM6 it will be utterly great.

Hello everyone

To add a Disconnect button:

HKLM\ControlPanel\Phone\Flags2 = 8 (DWORD decimal)

To add a Disconnect button and a timer display showing how long GRPS is in use for the session:

HKLM\ControlPanel\Phone\Flags2 = 16 (DWORD decimal)

To disable both the Disconnect button and the timer:

HKLM\ControlPanel\Phone\Flags2 = 0 (DWORD decimal)

I found that Adobe Reader 2.0 is not well integrated into the OS shell. I cannot select the pdf file and activate the program directly from the file. I have to manually run Adobe and open the file later.

1) does ringing work (does it play a sound and keeps doing it?)
2) charging via USB ok?
3) is there any battery-draining like in V2?
4) I have the impression that MMS (both incoming and outgoing) works. Can anyone confirm that? (especially the incoming)
5) does still calls disappear when already in a call? (without leaving tracks)?
6) Anyone experienced the pin-code not accepted (like in V2?)
7) In V2 i experienced that the ext-rom did not install automatically, so i had to install it manually by unlocking ext.rom and manually install every file. Any similar problems with this rom?

And maybe the most important question;
8) Is it worth upgrading from V2?

I'd appreciate it alot if these questions could be answered. (and yes, i know i can check them out myself, but if someone already has done it, why re-invent the wheel again?)(typical expression here in norway)

Installed yesterday v1.3. -> First Step 1 -> Step 2 -> again hardreset

- Contacts could not sync -> after soft reset it's corrected
- Changes on the today screen are only visible after softreset.
- Bleutooth (and sync works) -> ok.
- Wifi -> ok
- IR -> not tested
- GPRS -> ok.
- Rom is very stable and it's the fastest WM6 till now (I tried all WM6 mentioned on this site)...
- Free RAM 25,xx Mb after installing
- Even camera is good enough (for me).

Are you using other audioplayer and set them as default player? Try associate the wav/mp3 back to media player.

I found one issue which i think it might be related to the ROM:

I cannot unlock the extended ROM. (I changed the settings in the registry and after i soft-reset, they're gone).

I also tried soft-resetting 2-3 minutes after changing the values, checked the values were still there BEFORE resetting, and after the reset they're gone. Might happen for other settings, i don't know.

In another subject:

Still no updates to where the keyboard skin present in version 1.2 can be found? Or the green theme as well :D

As for the rest the ROM seems to be the best WM6 i've tested so far. It's real fast (specially at 273Mhz) and everything is working flawlessly.

It`s my first post on that forum, but I`m reading it a few months yet. I`v decided to make a ROM Upgrade yesterday and I have chosed Smart1v3.
That is a very good ROM, really quick and with many usefull apps.

Almost everything runs ok and I`m almost happy..

I have problem only with Camera.
I have done everything right I think (HR, upgrade to 2.20 NVID, HR, Upgrade to Smart1v3 with Flash tools posted a few pages later, HR).
After upgrade to Smart1v3 I have noticed that Camera button and a Program shortcut is not working. I can`t also find a camera.exe in Windows folder.

I don`t know what I have done wrong. I have read somewhere that it might be some error while upgrading. Does a downgrade to 2.20 and new upgrade to Smart1v3 will help?

I tried to instal HTC Camera 4.03, but after instal and SR when I`m trying to start Camera.exe (with button or via shortcut or directly) I`m geting a message " 'camera.exe' is not a valid Pocket PC application".

Is there any way to make camera usable without re-flashing?

Please for help...

First of all thank you Smart1 for this rom. I've been using your v2 with absolutely no problem at all since its been released and i experienced small but annoying problems using your v3.

- When i click "contacts" the contact screen shows up and instantanely close down, is there a way to correct that ?
- Some programs (modem link, pocket msn & terminal service client) seems to be unworkable as the icon is the default program icon and when you click on them you have a message like "the file xxxx.xx cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."

I have flashed using the original files from a flash.zip file found on this forum that was used to be part of the v1 file (UPGRADE_ROM.bat & the other files).

That's what I did to upgrade, and I think I'm gonna revert back to Fantastic because I found bugs in smart1's rom... at least on my device :

Today screen/page will never be updated after a change (add/remove plugin for example) until softreset.

Sometime the phonepad will behave strangely, and smartdialing was enabled at first, now it is disabled.... !!??

Some reg settings won't be recorded.... like vibration for sms... It's been 3 times I've tried to set it on, and it's still off after a softreset...

Bugs or no bugs, after testing them all, this is the one i found with less issues. It does have some problems i'd love to see solved and it does miss the great keyboard skin present in 1.2 but it's the best overall.

Use these files. Just drop the OS in the directory and execute UPGRADE_ROM.bat. Better have your phone "off" as well.

Remember to flash from a WM5 rom before, do NOT upgrade from WM6 as it will NOT work.

Well, first you should flash your device with a WM5 ROM (preferrably one with a NOVENDOR-ID) then make a hard-reset.

There are LOADS of ROMs here:

You can find NOVENDOR-ID ROMs in the forum FTP (safer to use than a ship version because those don't mess with your IPL/SPL). Also beware that the link above points to JAMin ROMs. Those will change your splash screen to JAMin and mess with your IPL/SPL.

Let the ROM load, let it sync again (as guest) with active sync and then run the UPGRADE_ROM.bat file found in the WM6 update packages.

Remember to perform another hard-reset after flashing any WM6 ROM. Actually perform a hard-reset after flashing ANY new OS.

This is my process and works the whole time. If anything fails, just start over. It's a pain to start over if something goes wrong sometimes, but it works and it's safer.

smart1, i found a new problem with my installation:

After each soft-reset the configured passwords for MMS and GPRS settings are gone. Need to put them back on.

Also noticed that a POP3 account i had configured has vanished. Tried reconfiguring it and the device says the account with that name is already configured. Reconfigured with a new name, soft-reset, same happened and now i have TWO POP3 accounts which i cannot see, but somehow exist.

A fix to this would be awesome.

I'm not EXACTLY sure about this, but i think the GPS configuration gets messed up as well. I'll post again if it verifies.

EDIT: No issues with the GPS.

Did anyone else end up with a Cyberon Voice Dial icon in their settings menu? smart1 said he removed voicedial but It's still there after everything was flashed.

Also, regarding some people with problems with their contacts no opening,

I found this happens if you restore personal DB's from a wm5 image. I accidentally restored mine and fubar'd by contacts. Before it opened with no problems.

Went to PDAViet v.1.1 Rom...and found that it is the best one so far. I do not know, why this ROM did not get the popularity like PDAMOBIZ and SMART1...it is the best till date

Also noticed that a POP3 account i had configured has vanished. Tried reconfiguring it and the device says the account with that name is already configured. Reconfigured with a new name, soft-reset, same happened and now i have TWO POP3 accounts which i cannot see, but somehow exist.

A fix to this would be awesome.

I have had the same problem with my POP3 account. I also had a problem with my Exchange Server account. This account was deleted after a soft reset, so I did not have any contacts anymore. I had to reconfigure the Exchange server and download again all my contacts (800).

A fix for both problems (and the second incoming call problem) would be highly appreciated.

It didn't get the same popularity probably because it's "too" modified, at least to my taste. Doesn't look like an official WM6 ROM, but instead like a user-modified WM6 ROM. It's missing the "feel".

i find out this bug recently:
you cant make the SECOND phone call.(if you need to call a person,twice)
the only wat is to look at your contacts again and find his/her name..then,from that link you can call the person again

I also had the experience of a dissapearing mail account, on all wm6 rom's i tried. Is this a known bug? Anyone found a fix?

Edit: I found the message that a shutdown and reboot after configureing the pop account might prevent from disappearing. But how can I fix or remove the account before I do that, to clean up

Don't get angry, it's very simple.

First, get the RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID rom and downgrade your phone.

Then, extract .exe by WinRAR or just install (self-extract) smart 1.3. The .nk is inside, flash it with DEVPACK from Molski or with those tools from the second link.

I have extracted OS.nb from .exe and made the "nk.nbf" using nk2nbf.
I have flashed the Smart1 v3 ROM using ShellTool to my G4 Locked XDA Neo and it works :)

But I dont realize any speed acceleration, and I have 40MB free data memory. Is it ok?
And I read something about batery-eating camera. I have the version 4.02 - is this ok?

I have flashed v3 ROM (great ROM) but i have still several problems -> questions

1. When I connect Prophet to PC via USB, it is not charged and even it loses power. (60%->20% / 1 hour) and I have even installed the Bat_fix.cab :mad:
2. My e-mail account disappears every time I restart and coolfires trick doesnt work for me... :mad:
3. Every time I turn on BT, i have to tick "Visible to other devices" again! :mad:
4. Can I recieve files via BT directly to SD card? (Not enough internal memory to recieve big files) :mad:
5. I have realized, that starting already running programs (in RAM) is much faster. Is it somway possible to get them in RAM automaticaly on startup?
6. Does exist any BIG FULLSCREEN software numeric keyboard? I want to type with my thumb almost without looking on the screen
(Phone pad, included in this ROM is too tiny, especially "space" and "enter" and "shift")
(I have tried spb fullscreen keyboard, the keys are even smaller)

I am using custom flash screen. In this forum (xda-developers.com), there is a thread to show you how to do it. I forgot where it is so I can't provide the link. It is called 3splash or something like that. Hope there is someone who has better memory. Basically, you just go through the flashing, very fast and it is done. If you want your girl friends (limited to 3) pictures on it, you can follow the direction how to do it.

Don't mokey around with the ROM image file. Just find you a best WM6 ROM, then change the flash screens for good.

Yes Windows Live Messenger works for me. IR works for Novii Remote, wifi no problems, BT send/receive to my imac no problems but haven't tried with other mobile phone. Not sure about the streaming media app because I haven't tried it. AD2P sounds OK with my itech R35. All in all, this ROM is very stable for me but I try not to install that many 3rd party apps. I have resco photoviewer 2007, Novii remote, Flexwallet 2006, Googlemaps, Wordbook, TCMP and total commander installed. My prophet hasn't hanged yet and there isn't much memory leakage so I'm very happy.

Originally, I flashed the ROM only because I bought my S200 in a Second-hand-mobile-shop (I dont know how to say it) as my first PPC and it was in German. After hours of reading everything possible on xda-dev, I realized that flashing ROM is the only way. I went to Prophet part of the discussion, and saw that Smart1s ROMs are the most favourite.

Are the official ones more stabile? Are they slower? Better?

no official WM6(from microsoft or HTC)exists for Prophet mate... Try flashing PDAViet 4.0.0.3 or Trueneytral 1,4MS.In my opinion,they are the best...

the pdaviet 4.0000.3 rom also has issues with BT, & WIFI. i've never tried VOIP or IR, But don't switch to PDAVIET if you have smart1 thinking it'll fix everything. It is still a good rom IMO.

Anyone had installed Widcomm Bluetooth Stack? On SMART1 V3? I don't know what I had do, I am got the follow message: "BTConnManagerCE.exe"/"The file BTConnManagerCE.exe cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.", anyone know how to fix it? Is there a release date for SMART1 V4?

So I just downloaded this Smart1 V3 ROM. Been following the instructions to upgrade my QTek S200 from WM5 to WM6. However, when I double-click the wm6_smart1_v1.3 file, it self-extracts and I'm left with this OS.nb file.

I just don't know what to do next. Can anyone help please?

I also have a problem with GPRS/MMS/WiFi/Exchange passwords dissapearings and i can`t solve it. I have tried software-reset, shutdown (Power off) and my Prophet can`t remember my setings.. After a few first resets everything was ok and there must be any way to make it working right.. Anyone has found a solve to that problem?
Is there some registry place to put that passwords manualy? Maybe it will work..

I have also a problem with EDGE icon dissapearing after a few hours (GSM restarts solve it, but it`s annoying)..

It is great ROM and even with that minor bugs I`m hapy with it:-)

You've got to DL the original V1 too and replace the respective file from the V3-Archive.

Another Question:
I just installed the ROM because of the Widcomm-BTStack.
Now, when I try to turn it on in Settings->Connection->Bluetooth (the second one, which is without a proper Icon), I only get an error message saying:
"The Bluetooth Radio failed to turn ON due to insufficient driver memory available. You must perform a normal reset before you can turn ON the Bluetooth Radio."

But rebooting doesn't help. Is it still the error from V1 or did I stumble over something new? Help plz, I'm really going into despair..
