Help! missing radio rom

i sim and cid unlocked my mda and i downgraded using lokiwiz b2 all went smooth after i downgraded the os then i installed faria's v2 the 8mb pagepool and i did a update for the radio rom after the phone rebooted. the radio version from the start up is gone... and now the mda is not reconized via active sync. the phone eventually boots up where you can access everything but right now its very slow it literally takes 1 min for the start menu to open. so far tried soft reset, hard reset, tried to force bootloader, still not reconized by active sync. what else can i do?

Have you tried going to the 3 color screen (holding the camera button and pressing the power button for a few seconds) and then running the update utility?

I'm not sure if that will work...but it's another thing to try.

Did you upgrade to a 2.2x carrier ROM before installing Faria's ROM?

What are your IPL/SPL? If they are 1.05 or 1.xx then you missed the step of installing a FULL carrier rom prior to installing a custom rom after unlocking.

If this is your situation your battery will die very quickly and will not charge via the usb charger.

The exact same thing happened to me. The only way I got it to work again was by reinstalling the rom by making a backup first to the memory card using rom update from the bootloader screen. It should put everything right. then from there reinstalling the original rom (in my case from the cingular site) and after that upgrading the radio rom. After you make the backup and reinstall the rom activesync will pick up your phone again. Then after that I put the aku rom. Dont put the button rom again, it'll downgrade your radio rom and you 'll be right back where you started. It'll show the spl nd isp being above 2x but dont worry. Mine works with no problems. I tried upgrading the radio rom from the button rom but it wont take and finishes either with the gsm missing or the radio or both. I find out easier to install everything from the bootloader screen.
