Sometimes after the 1st boot (and the Welcome Screen) the top&bottom bar are grey/black!
After the 2nd boot, the top&bottom bar are the same style (Crossbow style) as the background!
Has something to do with the "buggy" Crossbow.tsk theme file...

This Rom is based on Faria's Rom, so you know the deal! I integrated one patch that I found,
and included the 2.19.11 Radio Rom, because that one works pretty damn good!

This Rom will be available for a couple of weeks via Www.Molski.Biz, after that I will put it somewhere else!

ok just flashed the rom and been playin with it for a couple hours only problem im having at the time is my camera wont work. keep gettin something about its not signed with a trusted certicate or one or more of the components can not be found . everything else is great

Yep, same problem here...... :confused:

Another more worrying issue I have just seen is a crash of the 'shell'. I am trying to recreate the problem but I am struggling a bit.... I think I closed ActiveSync by holding the stylus on the 'X' and then a small window appeared telling me something like the shell has stopped and will be restarted. At that point it soft reset :confused:

Also why has Total Commander been removed?

What are you trying to find? Molski's taken out the ROM in the meantime until he adjusted some bugs so you just have to wait till he finishes with the adjustments.

This is a WM5 rom with the look of WM6 and it works a treat!!! Would be nice if TC was in the rom as i had to install from a cab file (Poor me)

I have flashed this rom to my fone ok.
it started up, synced with a/s 4.5, evrything was ok.
i did a soft reset and now i cant get past the green windows mobile screen.
the green light is flashing and the start/end call buttons light up.
it wont turn off on the main power button, will only soft reset.
any ideas??

It's really, thank you.

I've got a problem though, I can not change the volume with the slide-button on the left if I'm in a program. I can only do this on the todayscreen.

Other then that, it is great!

that is a function of "smartskey", the volume slider controls page up/down in apps/file explorer. google for more info

The rom is, in general, terrific! However, I just tried out my Plantronics 590 stereo bluetooth headset and experienced the worst skipping I've ever had. 2 seconds of music and 5 seconds silence, repeat.

I'll go looking for the buffer tweak....

I've tried increasing the buffer and overclocking the CPU and this helped, but still having the problem. The issue happens when running WPA2 - AES wireless encryption and listening to music. In fairness, I probably haven't tried that combination before. When the wireless connection is off, it works fine. AES encyption can be processor intensive, so I guess this is a limitation of the beast.

Having Issue upgrading unlocked G3 MDA from 2.26 to this Molski.Biz AKU3.3 ROM. I have a 2 Gb MiniSD but is pulled out. upgrade stuck. been like this for an hour.

T-Mobile USA MDA (unlocked)
IPL/SPL - 2.26
ROM - 2.26 WWE (Trying to upgrade to Molski.biz_AKU3.3_21911_8MB ....)

Just use the bootloader as follows to reconnect your Wizard via USB to your PC.

- (hold down camera button when rebooting)
- A multi colour screen will appear, plug the device into a PC and you will see "USB" appear at the bottom of the coloured screen.
- Download a ROM updater (RUU format)
- Execute it on the the PC and the update will replace and fix the ROM

This rom is truly remarkable! It runs very smoothly on my Qtek. I don't have problems with over-the-air syncing of my calendar despite the warning in the wiki of faria's rom. Maybe it is because I use Kerio Mailserver i.o. Exchange?

And, FINALLY, the A2DP bluetooth quality is much better! :D This is thanks to the bitpool settings which I set to a value of 35 in the registry, according to this table I found in a pdf from bluetooth.com:

The higher value of 53 doesn't sound any better though is much more resource consuming. At value 53 listening to music and a sync with my pc at the same time caused the pda to freeze completely. At value 35 this does not happen though the music skips terribly while connecting. This is of course no issue outdoors. There is another registry tweak to change the A2DP priority which I still need to try.

Forgot to mention one odd thing. When deleting an email on the pda it remains on the server even if "empty deleted items" is set to "immediately". Also a manual send/receive or sync command does not delete the message permanently on the server. Is this normal behavior? It used to work with an older rom.

I cheered too early: direct push does not work :(. Is the activesync program in this rom a newer version? If so, perhaps my mailserver does not support it yet. Is it possible to overwrite it with an older version from another rom or won't that work? In any case, could someone post the repllog.exe file from an older AKU2 rom here so I can try this myself? It's in the Windows directory :). Manual syncing works but I do not receive email automatically. I had the same issue with the WM6 Most Beautiful Edition rom. If using an older activesync won't resolve this I am afraid I might be stuck with AKU2 roms for the rest of my pda's life...

Normally when I click on the Edge icon or the Signal Strength icon, there is an option to turn on flight mode. It isn't there with this ROM, as far as I've been able to tell.

How can I access Flight Mode?

I'm glad I'm not the only one after this feature. I've come from AKU2.2 which I installed last June and thought I had added it via a registry setting. So I went off and searched http://wiki.xda-developers.com but alas came up short :(

Could someone please post the activesync executable from an older rom? I hope to be able to solve my direct push problems with it. It does sync automatically, however about every 15 minutes and not continuously, again despite the "as items arrive" setting in activesync.

Something else I discovered: I disabled cleartype but in internet explorer and outlook it stays on. Maybe a registry key is responsible for this behavior?

It's an extra step to go to Comm Manager.
Tapping on the Edge icon or Signal Strength icon is the intuitive thing to do, and the quickest thing to do.

Today I managed to get direct push up and running. I found out that activesync wants its connection to the internet to be named "Internet". Normally the right connection can be selected in the activesync settings but the name "Internet" is somehow hardcoded in that list. Changing the gprs connection name in the windows connection settings, in my case from "T-Mobile" to "Internet", solved the problem. :)

One big problem down, two small ones to go:

1. Deleting emails on the pda does not delete them on the remote server.
2. Cleartype is disabled but still used in internet eplorer and emails.

These are issues I can live with though ;).

Something else. Enabling wifi locked up the device twice today. I was trying out some wifi settings (wpa2 and aes) and when reverting back to the previous settings the network stopped responding. I tried to turn off wifi with the comm manager but then windows stopped responding completely. This happened twice (reproducible problem) and a soft reset was the only solution in both instances. Before enabling/disabling wifi was possible by tapping on the G-icon but in this rom that only reveals a link to the wireless manager which is in fact the comm manager. Is there some registry key to enable this?

Thanks! That did the trick. :) Pretty anoying that MS does not let internet explorer behave according to general system settings. They did the same thing with IE7 on the pc with a somewhat hidden cleartype setting in the browser itself.

I noticed the same thing and decided not to clean it. The speed of this ROM is great and I haven't encountered any issues, so cleaning up the registry probably wouldn't give any improvements anyway.

I know there is some dead registry stuff in the Rom, PocketMSN and Hotmail account is removed, but not the registry stuff from it, but you can leave it in.
It can NEVER be around 5 MB, because the 2 default registry files (.hv files) together are not more then +/- 800KB in size.

I just installed this rom and wow its fast but I'm having a few problems

I have audionotes, phonealarm and wisbar-lite installed.
After a soft reboot the audionotes and wisbar-lite report as untrust/unsigned, but run with no problem if i start them manually. I've tried re-installing them and still get the same error.

phonealarm just doesn't show any skins, I have to deactivate then reactivate it. Seems to be some problem on start up items.

Whoops, I misread Nohctis' post. In my case, 'dead registry' is reported as being just under 5 KB, not MB. But I'm leaving it alone anyway.

i'm sure it's 5mb+..

The "Save as: First Name, Last Name" option isn't available in the Contacts Menu in this version while it has been on recent Molski releases. Is there a cab or a method to add this without installing the full Customizing Tweaks Cab?

I seem to be experiencing the same Custom Ringtone problem when I was using Faria's AKU3.3 V2 rom. I generally use my BT headset and pick up calls according to the ringtone so this feature is very important for me.

When a call is received, even though I have the ShowSIM value set to "0" (ie SIM contacts hidden), the phone number is still looked up in both the SIM and the Contact list. If the Entry Name is the same, it will use the Contact list profile and the Custom Ringtone will sound. If the Entry Name is different, it will use the SIM profile (which is basically a name and number).

Here's an example as to what I'm experiencing:
SIM Entry = John Doe 123 456 7890
Phone Entry = John Doe 123 456 7890 w/ Custom Ringtone
Display comes up as "John Doe"
Custom Ringtone will work

SIM Entry = John D 123 456 7890
Phone Entry = John Doe 123 456 7890 w/ Custom Ringtone
Display comes up as "John D"
Custom Ringtone will NOT work. Default Ringtone will sound.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Even with the batteryfix my battery is draining so fast. I never had to charge my phone during the day, now i find myself charging it 2x a day with MBE. I think I am going back to Underground or WM5.

You need to provide more informtion so we can realy assist you. Like what is your IPL and SPL on your device?

To flash your original 2.16 rom from your carrier, you should get into the boot loader. To do this, turn your device off, Hold down the camera button while turning on your device and until you get the Rainbow boot loader screen. Have your USB cable plugged in and then flash your carrier's ROM onto your phone. That should get you back.

You still are not giving any information... What is your IPL and SPL on your phone when you boot it?

Go find a copy of the Wizard Love ROM (Its on PirateBay where you can get the torrent, and there are other links around you can find for it) and flash that one and see if it fixes your problem. But if you won't provide more details then I'm not sure how anyone can help you further.

I have no other links (I'll let you search in here if you really want it as I don't have time to do the work for you).

As I also mentioned you can use PirateBay to get it. Do a search for Wizard_Love. Install uTorrent or BitComet and then click to download the torrent. Very simple and easy IMO.

As mfrazz mentioned, we need to know what your IPL/SPL is in order to diagnose your problem. When you start up your phone, you should see a set of numbers in the top left hand corner; Namely, IPL, SPL, Radio and OS. Please tell us these values.

Also note that the lokiwiz unlock method is only applicable to G3 Wizards.

Does anyone know why SPB Mobile Shell does not well with this ROM. It will not allow me to change the theme color at all. I pick a color and then hit ok, it takes me out of that screen, but nothing changed. Go back in there to check the settings it seems it not sticking.

tried couple of hours and found it's unstable. Battery is run out quickly and the programs are unstable when having calls.

Same thing happened to me; I found no way to fix it.

Damn, that really sucks. I liked SPB Mobile very much. It was some eye candy to look at when your phone was in standby. Hope someone finds a fix for that soon.

hey guys this maybe the most stupid question but i just tried updating to molski's nice new rom but it fail saying Error 300 invalid update tool and i know my phone is unlocked.

I have a problem with live messenger on this new rom.
When I try to start the messenger, an error window pops up, but in that windows it says nothing.

When I tap "send/receive" in the message screen it just sais "sync error".

When I open the program "windows live" and click "sign in to windows live" I only get to the first 2 steps of signing in. I have to click "accept" for the Terms of Use, and after that I need to fill in my mailadres and password. After doing that, it just returns to the main windows live screen, without signing in. Can anyone help me with these issues?

Hi , i flashed rom, not just this one and get the same problem. Only recently though as flashed b4 and no problems. Well the problem is this-----i downgrade to buttons 1.05 then up to t-mobile, then use custom roms, problem is everything works fine apart from msn live/messenger, it comes up with error box when trying to run it. it's like a small square windows box with a red error cross in it. Anyone any ideas whats going wrong please. Its doing my head in, re-flashed about 4 times now. Thankyou.
