ROM Flashing questions

I know, I know. I've started lots of threads.

I've got two questions, mainly... here goes nothing:

1) What are the best ROMs that don't have many carrier-specific settings? I live in Mexico, so most of the Cingular/T-Mobile things don't help.

2) Is there any fast way to get the Wizard running as it was before the flash? I'm sick of installing all my apps every time I flash.

all roms are not carrier specific. all you have to do is soft reset before the auto install for the extended rom starts.

there are lots of backup and restore software but from what i hear they never work good. so i always install my programs myself. get something to save your registry hacks. so you wont have to do them all over each time you hard reset.

Yeah, but I meant a clean rom, or whatever is close to that. I can't find Mr. Clean anywhere :(
