i ahve tried that (and soft reset afterwards) but it don't seem to work, did it work for you?
You need a hardreset for Ext_rom to run.

but the files in the ext_rom are just cab files aren't they? therefor I should be able to just "install" the ones I need?
(that is what I tried) but I will try and do a hardreset and se if it works..

Yes it worked fine for me, just flashed with XDA Live and then I installed the nordic keyboard cab from my 2 GB Sandisk card. Did a soft reset and it worked. But when I have flashed XDA Live and it started up I did the calibrate screen stuf and so on. And when that was finished I did a hardreset and then went on installing all the stuff. Perhaps that did that it worked for me

If this is just an OS Flash then your current Ext_ROM will still be there correct, and upon the first hardreset the old Ext_ROM will run? I hope this is true.
No the ext_rom will not run when you have flashed XDA Live !!! I had copied the cabs from the ext_rom to my micro SD card before I flashed it and then run the cabs manually afterwards when the XDA Live was installed

guyz sorry if it has already been asked, i have a HTC TyTN "herm200", with its orignal rom that came with it, i was planing to upgrade to the new rom that will come from htc europe, but now i see this "XDA Live", which looks pretty nice, now i want to know, if i upgrade to "XDA Live" can i move to the latest rom from htc europe when its released ? or will it be blocked ? can i lose warranty if i upgrade to "XDA Live" ?
thanks,

P.S oh any'1 tried to upgrade the rom using windows vista ?

Oh yes, I thought you just put the CAB into the Ext_ROM and didnt instal them. If you want the device to do it for you then HR if not just run than manually.

Anyone know why the old ExtROm isnt at least trying to run since this is inly flashing the OS? Maybe the preconfig.txt doesnt reference the ExtROM autorun.

I guess that depends on whether you want something completely untouched, and as plain as can be, or something a little more practical with a few changes and additions, and all for the best.

I dont know if it is the same with Orange as it is with T-Mobile but they keep some of the customisation cabs and XML files in the Windows directory.
I've just done a complete backup of the ExtRom and the Windows Cabs, have yet to flash upto WMXL but want to just nervous lol! Not sure how many of these cabs will work with WM6.

Yes - sort of, you can show the Ext_ROM but you can't alter it I'm afraid, I've tried ROM unlockers, programs, reg hacks - none of them work.
You can copy or run from it, just not change it in anyway.

If your vendor has not released any rom upgrade yet, you cannot fall back to original rom. There is no known way of doing it because the typical commands to backup/restore to SD card have been removed in the Hermes bootloader. So upgrade at your own risk or don't upgrade if you pretend to return the unit.
Guys I found this on the Wiki, is this true I cannot reflash my device back to the T-Mobile one that came on the CD if I update to WMXL?
EDIT : Thought there was an origional ROM on the CD guess I was wrong, If I did manage to get one though would it be possible to reflash back to the T-Mob one?

If there is a T-Mobile ROM around, you can refer back to it. This was a reference to "restoring" a ROM that you have overwritten, since there is no longer a way to backup a ROM on your storage card. Make sure you can find the ROM you have on your phone now online, otherwise you won't be able to just "restore" your old one. Make sense?

Looks like I wont be doing anything for a while as T-Mobile have yet to release the shipping ROM for it and I would rather not update it with noway to restore back as the Vario is my main handset.
Think I will wait for a non beta release of WMXL to be release first.
Cheers for the help guys.

all,
been watching the development for a few weeks now on all the different topics to do with hermes and finall thought about flashing my rom.
Im on UK T-mobile and just wanted to know if there is any reason why the beta will brick my device?
Also wanted to know if there were such application as word or file explorer bult into the rom and if not where to get them from.
Also would application like tomtom or other gps software work?
Any help will the greatly welcome.
Thanks

Well I have flashed this rom onto my SPV M3100. It is working fine - its taken a couple of hours to get all my apps back on and everything working - but i have working email, msn live mobile messenger, copilot, etc...
The only thing missing is video calling but as I have never used orange's free 60 mins a month of video calling I am not gonna be impatient for the gurus to come up with a fix for that!

Still having internet issues, finally got is back but then lost it again after activsysnc. WM6 is cool but I am going back, I like the AKU 3 Cingy ROM with CV, and reliable Internet. It wasnt that much faster w/WM6. The best part was HTML email (that did work on POP BTW) and the XDA Live Theme was very Nice, I guess I'll add the theme to AKU 3.3

Not it doesn't work with Vista. The USB drivers have to be updated for that to work. You can downgrade the Vista drivers to the ActiveSync XP drivers, and it will flash, however, you can no longer sync with Mobile Device Center.

i found arbic for wm6 butthe keyboard is not typing arabic help
Arabic Keyboard and Transcriber are very stable in this rom. Here are the cab files. Install the cabs in the order i have numbered them. I however am using Arabizer 2.0. As this is not freeware I have not posted this. However i used to use these cabs before I got version 2.0 in every rom I have upgraded to (many) and they have worked in every single rom. This will allow you to read and write arabic text messages via an arabic english keyboard and also write via the transcriber function (one letter at a time though).

I realise this, but does it work.
It says on the main page it is broken, and it looks like it connects the pc a different way to the internet. Im not whinging if this feature is not working, its more of a query to see if this is a new (and replacing) method of getting your pc on the net via the Hermes.
The old WM5 Wireless Modem app turned the phone into a HTC USB Modem and i dialled *99#.
The ICS seems to use a different method, as it connects the handset to the internet via GPRS 3G when you press connect on the device.

I have been successful in getting this feature to work (im using Vista and Bluetooth.)
All you need to do it startup the internet sharing app, use Bluetooth PAN as your PC connection type, and select you relevent "network connection" from the list.
Then go into your setup new network connection in vista (may work for xp too) and add a new bluetooth PAN device (bottom option on the list).
It takes the Network and Sharing Center a little while to recognise the network the first time and u get the vista faded black security screen, but after that, its all good baby.
Im 101% happy with the new OS now!!
Hope everyone involved keeps up the good work.
Long live modifications!!

Its quite a simple program to use...Its actually on the newer aku 3.3 roms also. But if you have used the old wireless modem program then the correct drivers are already installed onto your computer. I don't know too much about a bluetooth PAN connection, its slower than USB anyway. But the only thing that I did to make Internet Sharing work for me was to first go to activesync, connection settings, and disable allow USB connections. After that, make sure you turn the always dial a connection option off in you IE connections settings (or whatever program you use). Then its smooth sailing...no more dialing...it will show that a connection is being established on your phone and once its complete it will say connected. This is actually pretty cool b/c when you use Internet Sharing you can browse the internet on you ppc and cpu simultaneously...i enjoy it...

Only WEP on mine. Speed not lower that with WM5, actually browsing my network shares seemed faster (faster to get the directory listing that is).
How to enable Video Calling? On WM5 I could install "VT_xxx" file from any EXT ROM, but that didn't work on WM6. Maybe exe has different name and I should just update my shortcuts...
Video Playback - same issue as on old WM5 ROMs, this issue was partially fixed in WM5 AKU3.3 but it's not on this WM6 (open Core Player, use ATI and your screen will go crazy). Maybe it's just one or few DDLs, like ATIxx.dll that could be copied from AKU3.3.

Hi - I wasnt complaining... directpush works fine when out and about but one of the niggles about directpush on WM5 was that it couldnt work over USB and had to keep a 3g connection even when you were plugged in. It seems to have been sorted in WM6.

Hi,
I'm surprised no one has already mentionned an issue I found with "PIE":
www.google.com is automatically displayed as www.google.com/pda, which makes it impossible to logon with the personalised Google.
It used to work fine with WM5. Is that a specific in WM6, and how to get PIE to act as Internet Explorer again?

everyone (?!) knows that MS bluetooth stack actually suck, and that broadcom/widcomm is better (i confirm this), especially when it comes to a2dp.
I was wondering if kyphur would consider integrating the broadcom/widcom stack into his release since it is rather big (8mb) and it is working flawlessly with WM6 (to my knowledge/ability to test)
I understand that it might not be in it, but atleast consider it, or maybe make a second branch?! with the broadcom stack.
very well, it is a great release anyway , so thanks !

Yes i was also just about to put this to the thread. for one reason more than most is it puts a BT icon in the taskbar, much quicker to use aswell! It is developed by XDA-developers so would fit with the xda-live ROM nicely i reckon!?

@ Prerna / Schriss: Thank you for the info re WiFi!
Is anyone here using WPA with AES encryption? I'm still using my original O2 Germany ROM and with that I can only get WPA with TKIP which my router has a lot of problems with. AES works flawlessly on the router.
So this would be the main reason for me to upgrade and void my warranty.
Any help appreciated.

Hello,
I don't think this question has already been raised, although it might be obvious for many of us: After this upgrade, can a new Radio be installed without a fuss, and how?
I'm particularly interested in trying the 1.34, given the 1.27 is giving me some troubles in a specific use of mine(...)
Thanks to anyone who can advise.

I'm having an issue installing the HSDPA "fix". Anyone care to provide a step by step?
Mac.uni
28th February 2007, 04:59 PM
I installed it with some problems.
I couldn't wait, so had to do it with Windows Vista. That works until the start of the boot loader. So I tried the sd method. My device should be Super CID,
but it didn't work. I restartet putting the Image on my sd card. But before i did format it in my device so that the FAT settings are correct. Then
I startet the Installer on Vista to get the Bootloader. When the message appears on my screen I put back my sd card and press yes at same time.
(I don't know if this is really needed to do it at the same time, but it is a little bit more fun. When I put my card into the device a hidden directory is created. I wanted to make sure this doesn't happen.)
Know nearly everything works. But WAP 2.0 with the O2 Germany Proxy don't.
Maybe its because of the User Agent. I am playing just now with it. I will also try minimo. If minimo works everything is fine.
Has anybody already a solution for this?

Arabic Keyboard and Transcriber are very stable in this rom. Here are the cab files. Install the cabs in the order i have numbered them. I however am using Arabizer 2.0. As this is not freeware I have not posted this. However i used to use these cabs before I got version 2.0 in every rom I have upgraded to (many) and they have worked in every single rom. This will allow you to read and write arabic text messages via an arabic english keyboard and also write via the transcriber function (one letter at a time though).

Been answered many, many, many times. Kyphur has no exact release date. Perhaps a week or so. But since he's been flooded with a lot of inconsiderate PMs and such, it may take longer.
So, totally up to you if you want to load up everything. I did, but I don't mind reloading it all again soon if I have to.

As Microsoft can always request this file to be deleted from rapidshare.
And Rapidshare will delte it because it clearly states it will, when it can be proved (you don't even need to prove this), that it will delete illegal files.
Because the so called news bringers first post a message that implies XDA offers links to illegal material.
http://msmobiles.com/news.php/6114.html
And then they post another article actually linking to this Hermes Rom download page.
http://msmobiles.com/news.php/6116.html
yes Microsoft does read MSmobiles as they have been in trouble with them before. This will point at XDA And yes this might be another reason for Microsoft to bother them.
I imply that we the users make it very clear that MSmobiles should reconsider their article as it is incorrect.
http://msmobiles.com/f/viewtopic.php?t=17063
XDA does not provide Links to Illegal material at their forum. "We the users discus cooked and tweaked roms and how to make them. That we can find freely download anywhere online. XDA -developers provides a forum and information on the techniques it does not PROVIDE illegal material"
If people feel like sharing they should do so, using the p2p technoligies meant for this. Don't be the downfall of your favourite Forum!
And don't make a great free service like Rapidshare get into problems by publicly posting to material that Rapidshare is not intended host.

There is a battery driver, found in the registry, it's battery.dll or something like that. Maybe it can be decompiled... There are also registry flags, no idea what do the values do.

It is not compatible. If you attempt, there are maximum chances that it'll result in a bricking. I won't explain how and why as it has been already explain lots of times all over this website, including this thread.
In case you still do it, please refrain from complaining to your retailer once they tell you your warranty is void, as this might have the negative effect to push operators on more and more pressure against the great deeds here in xda.

I recognize that the warranty is rendered void, but would HTC take my $ to fix me up if I were to screw it?

Hi, there is no reason your TyTn becomes a brick on upgrading with this ROM.
The topic is that the warranty may be declared void by your operator in case you once have a technical' problem that needs repair, and that the ROM on your PPC isn't the original one.

The herald doesnt have a wireless carrier yet. And I was just wondering if it can be done. I searched the forum but didnt find anythign specific to the herald. Doesn't seem to be a very popular device, which is wierd since it's so small and good looking ;)

Quick question -
I saw many many pages ago that this ROM (or maybe WM6 in general) gets rid of internet sharing, and read through the thread looking for more information.
So am I to understand that I can no longer do bluetooth tethering in OS X (OS X does not support the PAN profile yet - at least not for a few months more)?
One of the main reasons I upgraded from the blackjack to the 8525 was because the blackjack only supported PAN, which is useless to me.
Why would this be the case? It seems like a step backwards.
4bc
28th February 2007, 11:28 PM
No real sure on the OSX issue, but yes, WM6 uses a Bluetooth PAN connection to share the internet connection. I thought this is an easier way to do things.
WM5 had a modem type app and u just dialed a number provided by your telco.
There is also a option to use internet sharing via usb, but i havent had success in getting it to work that way yet, but if i find something i'll let u know.

My question is simple. Now I am on Vanilla WM6m work fine for me, is there a GOOD reason to go on XDA live version? I dont want to know differences between ROMs, I need to know your opinion. I always removing all unnecessary files, registry settings, I always update registry with some programs like hack master, sktools and etc.
What I need -
stable phone
stable signal with good reception,
as much speed from OS and device, as I can get
terminal connection to servers like in old roms (I should use VNC)
widcomm bluetooth stack BBS_HERMES_03.cab work fine on WM6
notes
tasks
What I dont need, or dont need to use -
video calls
connection between bluetooth handsfrees
MS Voice Call
MS Office

Ok, I am running the xda-live rom all is working great, and much thanks go out to Kypher and all who worked on this, it has made for good reading for the last 30 or so days.
Now having said that, I have a registry/programming question, it may be better asked in another thread, so if I need to paste this somewhere else please advise.
I am using the program VJCandelalite and I think it is great, I have it set up to work with my messaging button so when I push and hold the messaging button the flash light comes on, when I release the button the light goes off. Works great for getting around a dark room etc..
My question is this, is it possible to allow the messaging button to work from sleep mode without turning the display on, i.e. if the phone is in sleep mode, and I hit any button other than the power button, the phone does not turn on.
I am looking to assign the messaging button as a live button (much like the power button turns the device on from sleep mode).
I have tried several registry changes with no positive results, just wondered if anyone else might have any ideas.
To summarize, I want to be able to push the messaging button in sleep mode, and have the flashlight come on without the device coming out of sleep mode. Thanks

The only thing keeping me from upgrading at this point is the apparent lack of Smart Dialer. This is the thing that allows me to dial a few numbers and it picks the corresponding contact's name to dial right? This is my most used feature so I should probably wait unless the Smart Dialer you're speaking of is something other than that.

Confirmed, XDA Live has a smart dialer, the look is different than what was in WM5 but works better imo.

UPDATE: For those that want to upgrade to WM6 and need to run GoodLink YOU MUST FIRST DO A GoodLink Backup from the Good Options on WM5!!, do it on the memory card and after you upgrade to WM6 you will find a file on the root of the card to restore GoodLink, what i do is connect to my wifi at home first then i do the update and IT WORKS I now have WM6 and GoodLink Good Mobile Messaging v4.9.2.30_EN on my 8525 :D

Ive read that it happens sometimes on the tytn, and thus far no fix. Figure'd I'd ask and see if anyone else had this problem.(this is since I've moved to the WMXL)

If your cell carrier are Cingular, of course where ever you go and you still on Cingular Network, because it is nationwide. Of course if you are at different country, then you are really roaming at different GSM or 3G network.

there is a link to an 8125 rom in this thread. I know I'm not actually roaming, but it is annoying because the device thinks I am, and therefore does its mandatory "you could be charged extra if you sync OTA" bit if I use email. I can live with it but it would be nice without it as well.

The only things missing are an ExtROM (Not really important..the rom still rocks) the video call facility (most people dont really use it very much) and VoIP support. But remember this is only version 0.1. The final version will just be awesome if this is any indicator. I still highly recommend installing this sir, make sure to check the WMXL v0.1 Issues thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=295502) before you proceed so you can see what things to expect. Alot of the issues have been resolved in the downloadable .cab installers in the second post by Kyphur. Enjoy!

Ok,
Now to the method:
0. Unpack the 02_OS.nb from XDA-Live RUU_signed.nbh
1. Changed the 02_OS.nb (two places) from XDA-Live to:
Original Hex values:
05 20 A0 E3 02 10 A0 E3 F2 EF A0 E3 03 40 A0 E3 00 50 A0 E3 00 30 80 E5
Change to:
05 20 A0 E3 01 10 A0 E3 C3 E0 A0 E3 03 40 A0 E3 00 50 A0 E3 00 30 80 E5
2. Flashed the 02_OS.nb to Hermes with SPL 1.01 MFG.
3. Changed HKLM\System\Versions and edit the Aku string from .0.0.0 to .2.3.0
4. Restarted Hermes (holding power button)
5. The resulting version is 5.1.195 (Build 17217.2.3.0) - XDA
6. Installed BBC 2.1.2.31
7. Synchonized !
Any questions - please to the Private.

The installation of MT_PC_Hermes_HTC_REG_070112.CAB solved the problem of having U indicator instead of G/E, but this have made my hermes very slow.
So I have search in MT_PC_Hermes_HTC_REG_070112.CAB what solved the problem, and found it.
Go to the registry in HKLM\security\ResOver\Bitmaps :
- change the value of BaseDLL from Net_Icon.dll in phcanOverbmp.dll
- add the value BaseId=0 (integer)
Then soft reset and voila !
I have tested these changes after a hard reset because of the installation of MT_PC_Hermes_HTC_REG_070112.CAB, and that works. Now I have G/E/3G indicators following the area where I am.
May be Kyphur could integrate this in WMXL v0.20.

Search (Find) "XDA Live" in Data.
Delete the Key where you found it.
Close PHM Registry Editor.
Use your power button to shut down the device.
When you power-up it will be gone.
BTW, The text is removed from WMXL v0.20  (which is currently being Beta Tested). See this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296126).

Hi all,
Before I say anything, just want to let you know that I have read through all the forum posts regarding XDA 0.10 (both this thread, and the previously stickied thread), and am unable to find someone having a similar problem to me.
Anyway my problem:
Directly after a soft reset, my phone is able to dial up and connect to the 3G network (which is HSDPA and displays the 3G icon on my phone). I disconnect from the 3G network and wait 30 minutes or so. After waiting this period, I am unable to reconnect to the 3G network manually or through an application. That is, no connecting bubble pops up - nothing happens. Within that 30 minutes I am able to connect as many times as I wish.
After this 30 minute period when I am unable to connect, if I restart the phone component of the phone (Go to the Comm manager and switch to flight mode, and then reenable the phone), it successfully connects for another 30 minutes, then dies again.
I've spent a day trying to toubleshoot this problem to no avail. The following is what I've done:
- It sounded like a Radio ROM problem, so I was on 1.27 Radio Rom, upgraded to 1.35 (GPS Enabled) Radio rom. No change.
- I hard reset my phone several times, and configured the connection, without installing any futher applications (thinking it could be an application causing the fault), again the problem still occurs.
- I've installed all of Kyphurs patches, and checked through the HTweak settings.
- I reflashed XDA-live 0.10, and attempted all the above again. Again no luck
Has anyone else had this problem before?
As far as I know, it didn't do this when I was on the imate AKU 2.3.

I've done some further research of the above problem I'm having, hoping this might sound familiar to someone:
If I keep the data session active for longer than the specified 30 minutes, the connect remains fine. So it seems that I experience the problem if there is a period of inactivity longer than 30 minutes.

I have been running this rom for a few days, I have had the following issues.
1. MMS sync, but I fixed this with help from my providor, I had the wrong settings.
2. The U appearing with E and G traffic.
3. I had the automotic reset of the device on its own 3 or 4 times.
I also have roamed with the phone to Netherlands and worked fine there.
The battery life is 50% better also.
Apart from those I am very happy and cannot wait for 0.20 release.

I can no longer get the full width Planet 3 menu, and am assuming this is to do with the changed User Agent string. Can anybody confirm what their PRE-WM6 returns?

MMS won't work "sychronization error" each time, and i've been through the settings a number of times, and everything is correct.
Network messages for new voicemail and clear new voicemail indicators are not being processed properly
U/3G/E/G icons are a bit random.
I am guessing that WM6 communicates with the radio in slightly different way from WM5, and we really need to have a WM6 Radio ROM for the OS to work correctly. I hope there will be one in the next release.

Am I going mad! on the bottom righthand corner of my Tytn on the today screen on this new Xdalive rom it now says Activesync where before it was contacts which I found very handy, I am pretty good at finding my way around a pda but I cannot see a way of changing this back to contacts. Is the answer staring me in the face? Could someone help please.

Hi people, ive found a skin for the dialer and security pad which matches the default windows theme in WMXL.
the original post is here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1155253&postcount=12) all you gotta do is copy the files into the \windows folder on your device....then soft reset.
Enjoy.
(Pm-ed to kyphur, hopefully he will add this to version 0.2)

Thing is, it's no good for some of us. We need our 3G. Perhaps anybody has a WM6 video calling dialpad skin?

But it'd be even better if it was a WM6 skin, as opposed to the WM5 skins in the Wiki. Don't think WM6 even has dialpad skins out yet.

Vanilla was made from the same Base Rom that I have been working with all along.
The big difference is that I surgically removed unnecessary files and all carrier customizations. Then I replaced/fixed some deficiencies in the Rom.
Vanilla's creator did a hack job, removing some things that should have been left in and leaving a lot of carrier clutter and junk.
I have always felt that using my Cleaned Base made WMXL more stable but I'll let you guys be the judge in a few days when WMXL v0.20 is released..
@Kyphur: Which between Vanilla and your source, is better at: a) reliability b)stability c)speed?

Does This Mean That The Vanilla ROM Contains The Files/Info That Could Be Traced Back To Your Source?
Was It Released By Your Source?
How Did You Not Know That They Were The Same Base?
No Dissregard Is Ment By Any Of These Questions, Just Inquisative.

I haven't got visual studio 2005, but wouldn't it be possible to extract all the final software from the WM6 SDK?

Installed ROM on 8525, works great! Thanks. I do notice a speed bump. 2 issues:
1) in the Phone app, the R softkey is now MENU, used to be contacts. This was very handy for me. And the 'contact' under MENU only displays the last call contact info, not the list of contacts.
2) After a few minutes being connected to WiFi, the connection is lost (can't open pages in PIE), but it says I'm connected to the network with full signal strength?

If I was kyphur, I wouldn't have said what he said. But on the other hand, now there seem to be at least two sources for the same ROM image, kyphur's and the Vanilla guy. So it's no longer possible to prove from which source which files actually came.

If you wait a couple or 3 days, the new 0.20 version will be out. That gives you a bit more time to make up your mind.

Having used the OldPhone-UK ring tone for a while I found that it was little messy at the end. I few clicks and then an abrupt stop. I have applied a smooth fade out to the file to improve this.

All,
after using this rom for just over 5 days now i have noticed a few problems.
First of all trying to delete folders and files from my storage card though file explorer take a long time and slows the device down to a crawl..... any one else notice this?
Also does any body know of a reg hack to stop the contact coming down from windows live into my main contacts or is there a way to filter them?
Apart fom this.... this rom is fantastic....
Just trying to look for a more funky theme i.e windows looking theme and tool bar....
Would like to say a big thank you to all invloved. Cant wait for 0.20 to be out.....

I've searched to no avail... The ROM is sweet. Good work! Since the upgrade to XDA Live i can no longer plug my 8525 into laptop and automatically obtain IP address on laptop to surf the web. The laptop comes up with unrecongnized USB device but still tells me hardware is installed and ready to use. Since the ATT ROM update the tethering proceedure was a breeze via Internet Sharing, what gives now???

I recorded/edited the original wav file so that it would loop perfectly. Unfortunately Win Mobile puts a pause between the loop. There is a reg hack to get rid of this pause, and then the all is well with the file.
As is, the wave is cut abruptly before the next ring begins, and so needs to be repeated immediately, and not paused.
OK ... Current User>Control Panel>Sounds>Ringtone0 and there is a script in there with the "av0pw3r" string in it to edit - can't remember what each of those represents, but "w3" is wait 3 before repeating (R) so change to w0, and the ringtone will repeat with no awkward pause, and no need to edit and load the new tone.

Drop the cab file onto your memory card or into my documents on your pda, then tap on the cab file to install it to 'My Device'. Give it a minute or so then soft reset your pda, then the effects should be seen

Ok, Was able to update just fine.
Went to use Activesync to upload my contacts / etc, only to find that Activesync doesn't recognize my 8525 anymore. I also get the "USB Device Not Recognized" when I plug my 8525 into my computer.
Do I need to download a new driver or something? Did I miss a step?
