ok flashed back to WM5 it worked well then i flashed again to WM 6 and again the same problem. Donno why although WM 6 ROM worked before but i had a problem with the SIM Lock so i had to SIM Unlock it and reflash it again... n now it's the same old problem

You keep saying SIM lock and unlock. If this is a G3 device then you have to CID (not SIM) unlock the phone. Two very different things.

Please give us what your IPL/SPL are now. They both need to read 2.x version (most here feel using the Tmobile 2.26 Ship ROM is the best one to flash to before attempting any of the ROMs here).

Just upgraded. Seems to have worked well except activesync is not recognizing my device (just upgraded to 4.5). Any ideas?

I should also mention, that my device is getting recognized by the computer as an external harddrive - just not by ActiveSync.

Also, I did a sync using 4.2 right before i did the flash. I forgot that doign these rom flashes was going to erase my contacts. Now that I have upgraded to 4.5, will I be able to get those contacts back?

Hello m8, check this out, go to start>Settings > connectionsthen USB to PC and be sure to have unched the option " enable advanced network funcionality"

And try again, also look at your firewall setting, that its not being blocked by it.

Hi folks,
I have just tried flashing my rom with this one and I have encountered two problems.

1) Windows Vista keep saying that the program has stopped working... so I switched to my trusty laptop and...
2) I get to 95% and it says that the communication has stopped working and asks me to run the upgrade again - which I did and it still only got to 95% with the same error...

Any ideas anyone - at the moment, I have a XDA thats stuck on the three colour screen...

Just for fun I thought I would try the Molski.Biz_AKU3.3_21911_8MB_Crossbow rom - got to 95% also???

OK - I now realise that my O2 mini-s is CID locked - and I know how to fix it - the problem I have is that Windows Vista will not recognise that my phone is plugged in.... then again, it does - if I plug it into a different usb port it tells me it is installing software and tells me I have a Pocket PC with USB sync - but when I cannot see it in "My Computer" so it won't do any upgrades - help - have I now got a brick?

I would you all advice to NOT use the Hermes Green Comm Manager....this tool was maybe the cause of the not functioning anymore WiFi on mine and Faria's Wizard.
So please....stick to the Wizard Comm Manager!

I already CID unlocked the phone before upgrading to the WM6, but somewhere in the process the phone GOT SIM LOCKED, please read my post #244 it explains that i got SIM Locked.

Anyway I was able to upgrade to WM6 and now it's working fine here's what i did:
1) Flashed the Device with the downgrade version (in sticky)
2) SIM Unlocked the Phone
3) Upgraded to the latest iMate ROM
4) Flashed with the WM6

but i have a question... can someone try extracting PWord, PExcel and PPowerPoint since they are not in the ROM....
Or if someone can point me to how i can extract them from the WM5 ROM that would be gr8 cz i use these apps a lot. Also if someone has the PhonePad app from the iMate rom, cz i usually use it to write SMS while i am driving :D

Finally got MB Edition installed last night at about 2 am. I tried AKU 3.3 rom first which I did like but I also wanted to try MB Edition because it seemed alot more people were using it.

Love most MB Edition because it feels more like WM6. AKU rom which I understand is a WM5 rom with the WM6 style built in to it. With AKU my camera did not work and I found their to be to many extra programs even know they are are good but they just were crowding up the screen.

One downside the MB Edition is the battery performance is much lower then AKU. MB Edition seems to drain the battery a bit more but that was expected with a beta rom.

Wanted to say thanks to the creater and good work.

I've seen this behaviour already. You should change the extension and then try again! It worked to me that time!:)
Do a backup first and you'll see a different extension this time. Get the old one bkp you did and change it for the extension you've just got from the backup performed.

OK - I seem to have solved this myself - after doing a lot of reading and realising what an idiot I have been - I followed this tutorial

but still had some problem - I downgraded to the button's 1.05 ROM which worked a treat but when I tried this rom, it wouldn't take it - just stayed at the windows screen and then kept reseting itself - so then I decided to continue with the tutorial and instaled the tmobile rom - worked again - so I was getting brave and tried this rom again - some problem - so I eventually installed the "underground rom" and that worked a treat!!!

Think I am going to stick with that one as its seems super fast!

What IPL/SPL and Radio are you running? I'm on 2.26 (TMobile Ship) and Radio 2.19.11 (TMobile UK that came with this ROM). The first 24 hours my battery drain was horrid. But then I found the thread with the Registry tweaks (its the one Dr. P recommends in the [Solved] Battery Drain thread, not the registry tweak at the beginning). My phone only drained 2% overnight. I topped it off this morning and now 5 hours later it still shows 100%. So a combination of letting it be on this rom for 24+ hours (I've heard a few people claim not to look at battery drain for about 24 hours after you install a rom. May be urban legend, but who knows, I'm still knew to this ;) ), and the battery drain tweaks in that thread have made a HUGE difference for me. YMMV.

I may actually look at putting Radio 2.61.11 back on in a day or two and see how it does. I was having really good results with it on AKU 3.3, but did see more battery drain (but nothing as bad as this ROM was the first day I had it).

BTW: I'm overclocked to 247 and it seems to stay there now too (I only use BatteryStatus .4 to do the overclocking, have it turned off in Smartskey.ini.)

I got all messages from my Gmail account directly to Mail2web server and then out to my Wizard. :)
Mentioned (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1155998#post1155998) this already in the Molski.Biz AKU3.3 Crossbow forum but I got direct push working again. Had to do with the internet connection called "T-Mobile" while activesync wants it to be "Internet". Renaming it in the windows connection settings solved the problem. I expect this solution to work with this rom too.

Thanks for the Mail2web suggestion. Might work for many people but I prefer to use my own server. :) I too have a gmail account which forwards all mail to my server and thus also my pda. Have been using direct push since november and am absolutely hooked. There are days I use my Wizard more often than my pc to write emails.

Seems to workin fine on mine, Iim using mail2web myself, but the account thats like 1.99 a month, and it gave me an .cab that I install to setup the server, and everything seems to work fine for me.

started to upgrade to Wizard_MB_1010811_21911.exe
100% ok and than continuously "loading windowns" screen and so on.. :(
ipl and spl were 1.05 on screen, soft reset didnt help :(
switched it off .... as result cannot switch it on :(

After the downgrade (and CID-Unlock) you should have upgraded to an official Rom to get at least IPL/SPL 2.xx (2.21 or 2.26) and THEN you should have upgraded to a newer Rom like the Most Beautiful Edition.

And are you sure you didnt have a G4 device, because this situation looks like a G4 device with G3 bootloader.

You can try to start your device in Bootloader mode (turn it on while holding the Camera button) and flash an official Rom and DON'T bother about ActiveSync that cannot connect!

I had the same problem n it was discusses ealier in this thread (read post #272 page 28)

From what you say i think you downgraded as per to the sticky then directly upgraded to MB WM6.. well that's your mistake right there. That's exacly what i did n i got stuck in the splash screen with IPL and SPL 1.05, plus it didn't show the GSM line, and it just kept restarting. Here's what i did to solve the problem
1) Downgraded to the sticky ROM
- Boot the device into the bootloader (Press and hold the Camera button + softreset) (thanks to cyberdrakula for the tip)
- Connect the device to your PC and Flash it
2) CID and SIM unlock your device (if you haven't done that)
3) Upgrade to the Shipit version of your device
4) Flash with MB WM6

and good luck

I upgraded my device to the MB ROM without problems, and it seems to be running very smooth. it's kind of "naked" but so far I like it a lot. Faria's 3.3 V2 has more tweaks, but at least to me it seemed slower than the MB. I still have to figure out why when I'm using the keyboard to write sms the letters come up all CAPS, and this is without having the CAPS indicator enabled on the on-screen keyboard.

Here is the screenshot. Before install the cab be sure the commmanager.exe process really stopped running (use taskmanager or other). I did notice several time than even after the exit button is used, process is still on memory....

Are you sure? SMS Notifier only works when you are in an active AND busy (status) appointment.
Today SMS Notifier have set 2 missed calls in my Calendar (no appointments at that time set in my Wizard), so I guess it works like it should....
If it is not sending the SMS I think it is WM6 (some DLL file) related.

Actually you don't need another application. Follow these steps and let me know later:

1. Open your SD and look for the .CSA extension.
2. Rename to .CSV
3. Open ContactsBkp
4. Click on restore tab
5. Search for .CSV renamed file and do a restore

You should get your contacts after that. :)

I can't seem to figure out what happened, and I'm not finding anything helpful on a search. Molski made a brief reference about the green com manager, and I'm not running it. It worked fine for a couple of days, but now I can't seem to get a wifi connection with the most beatiful rom. It actually says it is connected but nothing happens. Tmobile USA GPRS and edge seem to work fine. I just can't seem to get any data through wifi, even though the device says it is connected. It is not my local network.

I can't help it. I'm just impatient. I installed the 2.61 Radio to see if it helps.

Spoke too soon. I think the gprs is staying connected.

Somehow or other, the GPRS is blocking the wifi. If I turn the phone off in comm manager, the wifi works. Probably, when I installed 2.61 it reset something, and once gprs is connected it stays that way. There has to be a setting somewhere...

Hmm, I keep switching back between pv3 and this rom, and I just about have everything set up on both, but the one issue I have with this rom is that the PHM Hardware Keyboard sip to stop the stupid on screen keyboard from coming up doesn't seem to work. It always just goes back to the default keyboard sip when I set it. Can anyone else confirm?

Edit: hmm, just got it to work. Tapping didn't work for setting it, but the hotkey did... very odd.

i think he's correct. the wireless g reg tweak is not for the functionality of wireless g but it makes your wizard able to connect to wireless g routers. no speed increase.

I upgraded my device to the MB ROM without problems, and it seems to be running very smooth. it's kind of "naked" but so far I like it a lot. Faria's 3.3 V2 has more tweaks, but at least to me it seemed slower than the MB. I still have to figure out why when I'm using the keyboard to write sms the letters come up all CAPS, and this is without having the CAPS indicator enabled on the on-screen keyboard.

If on the soft keyboard Caps is selected, when you use the hardware keyboard it will still be Cappsed even though it won't show the indicator. That could be it.

Funny, I've been doing the same (tweaking MBE with Faria's AKU 3.3 stuff).

Init_tray.exe is in \Windows already. Try it. If its what you want, then just put a link to it in the \Windows\Startup folder. I installed PHM Tools and run TrayLnch.exe from that. I have since found that there is a TrayLaunch cab in the Uploads/Software area of this site, so I may pull PHM Tools off (I don't need all the stuff that comes with it) and just put that cab on.

SMS / Contacts backup was built into this ROM and thats what I've used (same as what was in AKU 3.3).

Whoops, sorry, I was thinking of something else. Init_tray.exe just puts a battery indictor on the task bar (see http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=WM5_Tweaks_Other and search for it).

So yeah, go grab the traylaunch cab on the ftp site here, or go download PHM Tools and use traylaunch from there. (and while your at PHM, grab PHM Registry Editor too as that was what was in AKU 3.3 too ;) )

I run magic button so I always do a reset via that one so don't miss that button. PHM Tools has a reset that you could put as a button in the tray.

As for the rotate, I forgot about that button. Its mentioned here, but the cab isn't posted (that I could find):

Just installed this ROM last night and it seemed to be pretty good so far (stable and fast). I reinstalled the earlier version of BatteryStatus just to be sure.

However I can't reset the phone by pressing the "RESET" button on Spb PocketPlus. The phone just hung and never reset. I have to use the old method to reset. Does anyone else have this problem?

When the phone is in standby, and a mail(pushmail of course) arrives, it doesn't vibrate(it vibrates when the phone is on). The sound notification is working properly. Does anyone else have this issue, or am I doing something wrong(sound and notifications set up properly)? Is there a fix for it?

I am not a 100% positive becasue I liked the standard dialer and icons and did not re-install either the Eten or the O2 dialer I had but I think that there is a difference. I know that when I changed from Molski 2.26 to 3.3 I had to ditch the Eten dialer (although) I did see a thread on some dialer skinsa that were compatible with 3.3

As a potential work around, have you tried editing the smartskey.ini file? You can assign each direction on the d-pad to a different function. I have it set so that left pulls up the call log, right pulls up the speed dial (which I rarely use anyway since I have picture dial on the today screen) and up and down are disable so that they browse the smart dial that pulls up.

You are right. I un-installed the E-ten dialer, and the regular phone pad works fine. I sure liked the look of the E-ten JPLDialer_Vista_LBlue - went great with Crossbow colors (and I love the big buttons!)

Please be aware that installing any of these dialers will disable the default WM5 SmartDial function until uninstalled.
That is why am not using the dll's from PaulyA.

Just tested it, and the result is: Smartdailing doesn't work..

I am afraid that in order for big-button-dailers (WITH Smartdailing) to work, one needs to change the whole WM6 dailing/smartdailing back to WM5 dailer and adding the HTC smartdailer (with customised button resources).

OK, I finally got it working. I didn't have to create a 2nd Data Connection Modem. Instead, under ArcSoft MMS app I created a new server under the Server tab then my MMS messages finally sent. For some reason the default server that came with it just wouldn't work. Hope this helps. Thanks

Yup, thats true, thats why id reccomend setting up ur today the way u want with wallpaper et al and then changing the basehue setting.
Will try to make it part of a theme soon, maybe when i get back home, so that way wallpaper changes wont affect the basehue

Yeah I was having huge battery drain as well. I installed the cab in this post and now overnight I only see about a 2% decrease (where I was seeing 15% - 25% decrease overnight before with this ROM).

This has the same effect as the above for me, though it could be darker this is actually the perfect tone. If you do manage to get something totally black it won't kill me to try it :D

Also for those that want a way to reset their mda's I use PsShutxp taken from faira's 3.3. I edited the icon though, I also have the same icon but red just in case. Just drop it somewhere on your internal memory and link to it with PHM Traylauncher.

Use LVM Time. Does more than just display the date on a single line (can and time, and does other stuff). I'll attach the cab here, but look around in these forums for it and discussions on it. LVM Time was default on Faria's AKU 3.3. The MBE ROM came with another program that just displays a single line date.

Not sure thats really true. Its just MB Edition is the hot ROM right now so more discussion on it. I think there are a lot of people running AKU 3.3 and since its really stable, it tends to just work (so doesn't generate a lot of traffic with people asking for help and questions).


What IPL/SPL and Radio are you running? I'm on 2.26 (TMobile Ship) and Radio 2.19.11 (TMobile UK that came with this ROM). The first 24 hours my battery drain was horrid. But then I found the thread with the Registry tweaks (its the one Dr. P recommends in the [Solved] Battery Drain thread, not the registry tweak at the beginning). My phone only drained 2% overnight. I topped it off this morning and now 5 hours later it still shows 100%. So a combination of letting it be on this rom for 24+ hours (I've heard a few people claim not to look at battery drain for about 24 hours after you install a rom. May be urban legend, but who knows, I'm still knew to this ;) ), and the battery drain tweaks in that thread have made a HUGE difference for me. YMMV.

I may actually look at putting Radio 2.61.11 back on in a day or two and see how it does. I was having really good results with it on AKU 3.3, but did see more battery drain (but nothing as bad as this ROM was the first day I had it).

BTW: I'm overclocked to 247 and it seems to stay there now too (I only use BatteryStatus .4 to do the overclocking, have it turned off in Smartskey.ini.)

what's odd...I checked my registry values and they already had the battery drain tweaks (with the power management) enabled. i still have some battery drain compared to wm5. but whatever, nothing too bad.

I brieffly enable WIFI and GPRS with both blue and green manager and compare registry entries... nothing very revelant for now. This is true that after using GPRS, wifi does not work. Just nothing some strange modifications within certificate. It looks very similar to your problem ...

I used the Underground version for almost a week with the 2.25, and I couldn't reconnect from tower to tower. I would have to turn the phone off and back on again when I got to work for it to accept calls and texts. Very strange.

I loaded the MB version last night, and using the 2.19, and it's working wonderfully. I'm not missing texts and calls like before.

I've used 2.19 radio that came with this ROM for a week now with no issues at all. I just upgraded it to 2.61 radio as I had really good experience with that on the stock Cingular 2.25 ROM and want the better power / coverage I seemed to get with 2.61 radio. So I'm now seeing how it impacts my battery and if I miss calls or sms. If I do, I'll go right back to 2.19 (I think its better than the 2.25 radio from Cingular now that I've used it)

Hello m8, i had the same problem with PDAviet3 and i flashed-upgrade to WM6 Most Beautifull and the problem was solved, why dont you try downgrading then upgrading again to MB.

I would suggest trying 2 things, remove your card, then put back in and try again.

If that dont work, its a CSV file, copy to your computer, import into microsoft outlook, and sync. then create new backup.

WM6 stores PIM information differently then WM5. You should use activesync to get them from WM5 to WM6.

I love the MB Edition. It works great on my MDA. I have one questions though. On the Start bar, on the left of the G or sometimes E letter, I have the the triangle icon. Back in the old time, that icon warns me that I am roaming. Is it the case here ? I am in South California and I have the radio rom 2.19. How can I get rid of that triangle icon ?

i totally love this rom... first wm6 rom i have tried. the only things i have noticed is that when i pick a phone call, the call does not go to the bluetooth everytime. i have to reset my bluetooth to get it back working again everytime. I have also noticed that i have seen pictures of the calculator application on the net for wm6, and the calculator does not look the same on this application on mb wm6. also i bought a stereo headset and it still skips, very listenable, but dang... i wish it worked better. Other than that its a great rom; its fast, easy to use. and i LOVE WM6.... its just so clean..

So far it works fine, only installed yesterday so no long-time test. But I read the forums over there first, and I don't seem to have any battery issues as some others do. I made sure to go through all the settings and save them, since that was mentioned also.

Yeah I was having huge battery drain as well. I installed the cab in this post and now overnight I only see about a 2% decrease (where I was seeing 15% - 25% decrease overnight before with this ROM).

I checked the Registry and found that the changes were already made. I've noticed that if I don't use Bluetooth the battery usage seems normal. Once I turn on Bluetooth so I can use my headset the battery drains extremely fast. Any suggestions? Thanks

YGo2 is now available for SDA, and I believe new versions for MDA will be available shortly. They better work with wm6... Until then, just stick with it. Or use wap, it's not too bad.

Of note, I just read that HTC will include YGo for all their devices in the future. Probably it will only be useful to those that buy them without customization.

I had he same thing happen when using registry wizard in faria 3.3 Occasionally the signal bar came back and even rarer the time, and that only lasted till I changed applications. It only ever came back for good after a hard reset

Underground and MB are the two that I prefer. Both of them I had to add my programs to, and I think are equally as stable on my device. I like the splash screens from Underground but I have been running MB for a while now without any issues. I got MMS working on both, I have a post floating around about how I got MMS to work. I havent needed to edit the registry but I did install total commander and Registryedit and have taken a peak at a few things. Honestly between the two, there isnt much of a difference. Hell try them both. Wifi web works perfect with PIE for me as well as on gprs and Edge as well as through Activesync when connected to a Pc. Everything works in my opinion that I use on a regular basis. I use SPB Mobile Shell and a few other SPB Products as well as listen to my Sirius radio during the day on it, I use SiriusWM5 for that.

My wifes Wizard will be here today so I will have my G4 and a G3 Wizard to play around with.

You are mixing 2 things....SMS Notifier (to send SMS when in an active and busy appointment) and SMS Delivery Receipt Fix, and this last tool sent a receipt and does not count as a SMS.

i was once too! there was even a time where i have to switch like 10 times a day from MB to faria's v3.3 to underground! Now thanks to some of the guys that helped me out (ahem, mfrazzz mostly) i have found MB to be really great and as it is called "most beautiful" because it is.

you just have to do some tweaks to either personalize your device or make it run faster or some other stuff..

I get a private call, phone rings for a second or two, then nothing (silence), then rings for another 1-2 seconds at the end. Because of this I am missing a lot of private calls. Everything else is announced properly. Anyone else?

Firstly Thanks to .Biz for giving us the chance to use this rom..
Previously I use AKU 3.3 Crossbow and have no complaint, I mean none at all.
Love the programs and utils that come with it.

Yesterday, after reading all the rave comments in this thread, I decided to download and flash it to my wizard.

Now, here are my comments.
1st, after using AKU 3.3, I feel like MB is bare to the bone, eventho there are programs pre installed. It still need some minor tweak to personalized it, e.g the scrollbar and battery fixed.

Some of the problem that I founds are;
Sometimes it unlock itself,
Last nite, before I went to sleep I put it on standby and sometimes it turn on by itself, resulting in power drainage.
An some other minor incident.
I have been only using MB for less than a day and now I’m contemplating to switch back to my old rom or try any other rom.
BTW, I waste half of yesterday trying to download all those programs that was pre installed in my previous rom. I was really spoilt by that.
I cant really differentiate the speed of this rom to my previous one, since most of the people here always talking about the speed.

I read somewhere Molski was commenting on this new Rom that is still under construction on how that guy not really creating a new rom but just adding programs and minor tweaks in it. IMO it’s good in a way to cater the needs. I know people like Faria and Molski (just to name a couple) have been cooking it, someone else need to monitor the programs and utilities installed.

I have searched in forum but I have only found a cab for mobiwiz rom which not have cyberon voice dialer but only wm5storage and one arrangement for the hardware key.

here too... I stayed with 2.19 on this ROM, but had 2.61 before on others. 2.61 does regain signal faster (2.19 doesn't at all sometimes), but I don't miss calls etc...

the delivery receipt fix does imho only add the recipients name to the message, the receipt itself works without the fix too, but you just get the phonenumber, no name...

Errors in Delivery Reports can be operater related.
When I send a text message to a phone that is on, I immediately get the Report, when I sent a text message to a phone that is off, I immediately get the report as soon as the phone is turned on.

So for me it works like it should...always!!

Its also happening the same to me about for about 2 or 3 days.
One reason that may be causing this is that i checked the option in the phone settings, that automatically change time and date.

I disable that option and it seems that is stop lighting the screen on. However im not sure if this solves the problem. Im sure its a software / notification problem.

Its also happening the same to me about for about 2 or 3 days.
One reason that may be causing this is that i checked the option in the phone settings, that automatically change time and date.

I disable that option and it seems that is stop lighting the screen on. However im not sure if this solves the problem. Im sure its a software / notification problem.

I have this turned off by default, but the screen still turns on periodically.

I found out that if you lock the device before you power down the screen, the screen does not turn back on periodically anymore.

I have another problem that nobody has reported. Everytime I reset the phone, the default ringtone goes back to Ring-WindowsMobile. Anyone has a fix for this?

EDIT:
Fixed it with Memmaid by cleaning out the notification queue.


Everytime I reset my phone, i get my alarm sound and the phone vibrates.
But i get NO notification bubble and can't turn it off.
Alarms are all turned off, I even tried turning them on and off again!
Nothing works :-(

I've heard of people getting no alarm sound - this is much worse...
How can I get rid of the alarm?

I can't even find the "Email Sync Options" but I can freely change it via the messaging options, so try it that way..... or are you talking about the Windows Live?

That is a setting in Registry wizard, Tweaks 2, Taskbar Date/Time is not checked or defaults to none. Change it to what you want. As afar as the error messages I get them as well and no problems.

That is because the exchange server your setup with only uses outlook 2003. . . in Outlook 2007 the HTML should be available. . .

Any of you guys know how to use 12 hr instead of 24 hr military time in clock?

Quick question, I have a large G connectivity icon at the top of the menu, but if i go on messenger live which defaults to gprs i get a smaller g within the signal meter, so there are 2 G's at the top, one large, one small.

Is this normal ?


On a side note, if anyone has noticed the "Accessories" folder is spelt wrong.

Was easy to correct though :)

RESULT:

No big deal at all but...! #2 was alot zippier (if there's such a word) than #1. I held them side by side and press the same keys & #2 won all the time. I switched hands (thought I favored my right because I'm a righty) and the same results. #2 has .3mb less RAM but appeared quicker.

Tommorrow I will do a comparison between MB & MB 4mbPP and post results.

Just some info while I got 2 devices to play with. I have a warranty replacement, I have to return my old one (works perfect, just some of the silver worn off on the sides...) 1 yr old and has survived every ROM for the wizard since Xelencin's last release.

Just trying to install WM6 MB 6meg version and got something strange ....
After installing it seems to load WM 5.1 and apply's all my old mods that where in my extended rom. (I was running Molski 2.26 before so CID seems not to be the problem).

The updater itself say's everything is fine and my PDA comes back with after reboot with the new splashscreen (Windows logo on the Earth) but after that it goes running WM5 seems to me and apply all my old customisations.
Also the sysinfo tells me that i have 5.1.195 installed (so no crossbow ...)

The device is an G3 (IPL 2.26 / SPL 2.26)

Anyone got an idea ?

Only change with that version compared to this one is an older version of BatteryStatus.
Because some people had lock-ups causes by BatteryStatus Extended version v1.04

Oh yeah....and "Null keyboard'' is added, when you select this, no keyboard will pop-up anymore.

I asked before, but nobody reacted. Who's willing to place the splashscreen of the MB version here? (bootup splash that is). I'm very happy with the pdaviet2, it's the longest rom i've ever had on my device and it's still running fine. I've completely tweaked it out.

Maybe a stupid question, but why is it called the most beautiful edition? Because it's just plain the most beautiful edition ever made, all styled up with icons, fonts, wallpapers, etc.?

Wacko .... i had Molski running in perfect shape so CID was not an problem you should think.

But after running the CID unlock again it worked somehow.
Still got one issue ... how di i get an newer IPL as it now is on 1.05 but it runs WM6 MB version. So how can i upgrade the IPL ?

After doing CID Unlock with the Button ROM, you need to flash an official ROM (like TMobile 2.26) to get the IPL and SPL back to 2.x. Its not safe / wise to run a WM6 ROM with a non 2.x ROM. Many have reported issues (I'm actually surprised its working at all for you based on comments in the past by others doing the same).

When you install the new ROM, its going to wipe everything out, so O2 (and everything else like contacts, mail, etc) will be gone whether you remove it beforehand or not. You'll have to then reinstall apps that you want after you install the new ROM. So this is a new install, not an upgrade of the OS.

Also note that the PIM database is a different format between WM5 and WM6, so you can't do an SPB Backup (or similar) and then restore it as it will screw up the database (I tried, so I'm speaking from experience). To save off contacts and stuff you need to first use like SMS Contacts Backup (which creates a CSV file that can then be reloaded under WM6), or sync with Outlook and resync after you install (I don't use Outlook so I assume that works).

- couldn't get the TrayIcons option in BatteryStatus to show anything in the tray. Is there some secret to this? Do I need some other app or something?

- Cannot install UK version of the voice, says I need to uninstall previous version, but there is no entry in the uninstall apps for the prev version. The voice in the US version included just... annoys me.

- Contacts; Contacts (built-in to WM6) and Contacts Backup (included) doesn't like any contacts that contain accents in their info. It breaks in either case, either by not importing the contact (wm6 Contacts) or just hangs (Contacts Backup). Sucks if you don't live in the states where people don't use accents in their name.

- hung sometimes when changing theme. not just for a minute, but forever.

- internet calling; couldn't get this to work. would LOVE this feature. I'm following another thread here that discusses this as well.

This is a known issue and I think all of the WM6 ROMs have this same problem. Even more annoying for me is that WiFi just doesn't always work. SUpposedly there is a fix for this in the new 6MB and 4MB versions but I haven't upgraded yet (I'm waiting for Faria's WM6 ROM now).

I downgraded BatteryStatus to .04.200 as the beta one that comes on this ROM caused me hangs and stuff. I use PHM systray

I think I saw this too. But I can't remember if that was before or after I downgraded BatteryStatus. I've changed themes recently with no hangs though (I use the Molski Black theme now. Not too black IMO).

I am running this ROM on my Wizard and Vista Home Premium on my laptop, so far it has run wonderfully, except for one problem.

I am unable to connect using the Internet Sharing app
It goes to install the Generic RNDIS drivers and cannot find them to install

I am running WMDC, most recent version.

Anyone else with this problem?
Or any ideas of a solution?

After greuling internet searches and what-not, I just decided to scan my entire harddrive for the drivers through the device manager > update drivers menu, and after a long time waiting, it installed...I have no idea where the drivers were found, but it was thouroughly annoying

1. What is that little triangle/pyramid next to the Edge icon on the Start Menu Tray? Or more importantly how do I get rid of it?

2. Why does the clock randomly switch over to military time from AM/PM format. I've check my settings, but I don't see anything that deals with that.

Again sorry if this seems too simple of a question but like I said, I can't find these answers anywhere on the board.

Offhand, not sure what you are meaning, unless its the WiFi tower without the arrows (meaning you don't have a wifi connection). IF you tap on it, does a balloon or anything open?

Now click on the Time Style Dropdown and notice the little bitty scroll bar thats part of the dropdown. click up a couple of times and change to h:mm:ss tt ;) . I just happened to stumble on that one when I was frustrated and knew it had to be an easy fix.

Just in 1 word : GREAT ROM !

Ok had some troubles installing it somehow my Wizard was CID locked again (was running Molski 2.26 before) but after downgrading to 1.05 rom and unlock it worked ... ok forgot to upgrade again tot 2.26 so re-installed again.

Have no huge problems just an few minor ones:
- After reboot the Wifi is default off
- Sometime my start menu wont come up but think its more due an app then the rom.

And one thing is perfect .. it play's mp3 as SMS tone finally !


So yeah hell keep up the good work !

Hey everybody, still loving this phone and its diversity, but have flashed this little piece of hardware with the mb 4mb/6mb wm6 rom only to find that WIFI can't even be turned on!. And yes I've downed the fixed versions from a certain forum. When I turn on WIFI, It just gives the symbol in the top straight away. It just can't find the networks. I even manually added a network, it then tries to find it, but simply can't. WEIRD hey.

Is there a solution for this problem, cause I really, like the look and feel of the wm6 roms over the wm5 roms.

I search around in the registry and found a key for it. Just do a key search with resco regedit (roam) and you will found it. I think it calls disable roaming indicator. Just make it from 0 to 1. Wait for 2 mins and do a soft reset. That pyramid will disappear.

following advice in this thread, but still have the wifi issue. It is a minor annoyyance really, that tapping the wifi connection doesn't let me switch it off. Also noticed it seems to hang even more, despite this versions previous BatteryStatus. Minor gripes, but strangeness nonetheless.
