It is expected to be released to existing customers and pre-loaded on new devices in July/August 2007. Because Palm have made so many adjustments to make WM5 work better on the Treo, they will have to do that again and it will take some time to fully test.

Since WM6 is not very different from WM5, I think it shouldn't take long.

I would assume the same thing, but they wont release it so quickly after releasing the unlocked Treo. Plus, after speaking with reps from Palm there is still a lot of confusion amongst them all about when it will happen.:confused:

I didnt mention Palm Australia. I have spoken with Pal Australia, Singapore and UK and have got a maybe from Australia and a Yes from Singapore and UK, infact Singapore has officially confirmed it in an interview with cnet interview (asia.cnet.com)

Let's be clear: we know 750s will eventually be sold w/ WM6 loaded. I have not seen anywhere (pending cnet asia post notwithstanding) that says that existing 750s w/ WM5 will have an option to upgrade to WM6.

Any documentation would be interesting.

Even (!) if there would be no official upgrade, current users can install the firmware from "new" Treos with WM6.

Palm will offer both a new Treo 750 with WM6 on it and an upgrade, i would assume for marketing purposes that they will release the Treo pre-loaded with WM6 first and then release an update to existing customers within the weeks after that. Either way, I'm sure someone smart will upload the rom for everyone

Come on don't hold back unless this is just a fluke. I was really looking forward to an upgrade and have yet to see anything proving this. I know there are reasons to believe it's fairly credible, but at the same time lets face it, well all want the rom on our treos and that's all that we're really interested in!

Besides the speed and the addition of Windows Live feature, I don't see much difference.
Would be nice to get the 750 running a bit faster.

This video review have missed two important aspects of WM6 -

Internet Sharing feature that works very well with Windows Vista and most importantly - VOICE COMMAND 1.6. You can see icon for it there, but reviewer totally ignored it :) There are some other sweet aspects of WM6 that will make Treo 750 even more useful.

Thats weird i talked to 2 different palm people and they both said this month is there guess because of the status but there supposted to say july to sept which is why they told you sept. They keep on saying Q3 which means it will be out by sept for sure. You got to get them to specify alittle more than what there supposted to say. It already passed at&t certification and now is in microsoft certification since last month and expected to leave this month if everything goes smoothly.
