tmobile Ameo /HTC Athena

Hey,

we have a lot of tmobile Ameo (the same like the Athena). Its tmobile- unlocking is no problem but there is german language on it, someone there who know how to upgrade to english?

I don't think it's a case of the store unlocking the handset with an xda-developers type unlocker, I believe there comment of unlocking refers to T-mobiles fairly liberal unlock policy.... ie they will send the unlock code to the store so they can make it an 'official' sim free handset...............

Yes, in Germany they'll send the code by mail. But I'm waiting since one week for the payed code, but it isn't comming (they don't have the database)...
It's a little bit worth to have an Ameo and not to use it!

i just found this:

but even dont know if it works, nor i dont know how to use it
and also i dont know how to reset into boot mode (usb -mode) like it is used for upgrading

I know as it works: it's a virus which kills your system (it killed my one, but I had a fresh image)!

Looks like unlocking of T-mobile is not going too well, when i bought my T-mobile MDA Pro, i had trouble to unlock it as well, but eventually, i went through t-mobile customer service and got an official unlock code from them.

Thank god i am getting the DOPOD U1000 one, it won't have any unlocking problem :)

Teja could you please share hoe you got the code? I am also interested. I got my T-mo ameo without any contract or sim yet. Currently I use Lyca Mobile sim which works but they dont (or maybe I don't know:rolleyes: ) have data service:mad: T-mo custommer service could not help because I dont have contract with them :p
