I haven't tried all of them so it wouldn't be fair if I voted. I have tested PdaViet3, Underground, and Molski's 3.3 though and of those I prefer the Underground. Will be testing MB over the next few days...

If you're able to do all the tweaking yourself the clean versions are best

After trying both, I found Underground faster, but MB just felt more complete. Also, Underground had the annoying problem of my alarms not going off, thus making me late for work and school. Couldn't live with that so I switched back to MB. Hopefully, the next edition will be faster and retain the apps included in MB.

Between my experience with MB and Underground -- MB wins.

I had significant battery life issue with Underground. MB seems to be as stable as I had it with Molski's 2.2 ROMs.

Speed?? I don't know how you guys can compare the two. They seem equally fast. I've used SKTool's benchmark on both and they are both getting very similar scores.

I really can't comment much other than I'm using Most Beautiful, and after about 2 days of tweaking, poking, and loading various apps and cabs onto it, it feels really nice and has been stable for me for over a day (once I took the beta battery status off and went to .4 its behaved VERY well).

Like I said, I haven't used the other roms so I can't dismiss them, but MB is very nice for me. I wasn't sure I was going to stick with it at first over the Faria AKU 3.3, but I've about tweaked it to where it feels close (and better in some ways) than that ROM (The Faria 3.3 ROM is Excellent in my opinion. This one is very good and approaching it.)

I'm looking forward to the port of XDA Live ROM from Hermes as its supposed to be very Faria 3.3 like but WM6.

i finally decided after a few (ahem, at least a dozen) switching between MB rom and faria's 3.3 that im going to stick to.......Faria's 3.3.

i guess its because of its completeness.. almost everything you need is on the rom itself. no more looking for stuff to add or what not...

The only problem with PDA Mobiz Roms is that those guys Mix stuff (xnpocket, smsbackup, contacts backup, themes and some other things) from people like Faria and me....so no actually creating, only mixing.

Offcourse I also mix stuff sometimes when creating Roms, but I do a bunch more then just grab this, grab that, mix it all around and tada...here you go...a new Rom ;)

Clean Roms (like official stock Roms) do not have MMS, Java etc. integrated.
These things are integrated via the Extended Rom.

Some G4 devices have problems running the Ext Rom...thats why Rom Cookers wanna integrate as much as possible into the Rom.

You have to read and understand before you even attempt any of this. Its not something to be tried until you understand whats involved or you can wind up with a phone that will never work again (brick / paperweight).

Start by reading the Wiki (the link is at the top of every page in the forums). Then in the Wizard Upgrading forum, read the stickies there (especially about CID Unlocking).

Don't rush into this, and when you do start to attempt this, follow every single step (don't skip things because you don't understand or think you know better).

I've tried most of the roms available. I like mUn's and Faria's WM6. Faria's has
the edge since it is the only rom i've found where I can properly hear the ring tone for incoming calls. This also appears to be an issue with the Hermes.
However the keyboard on mUn's is great, and I like his 'aero' theme.

PV3 worked very good for me once it was fully tweaked. The only real issue I have is MMS is not built in. Because of this...I have to use valuable storage space for this feature that should be built into the ROM.
With all my goodies installed, I like to be @ around 27mb because I keep my mail & IE stuff on my device. I do this because when I use WM5torage, I have to restart 2 or 3 times, keeping system stuff off the SD card makes using WM5torage alot easier.

Rating on a scale of 1-10...I'll give it a 7

Most Beautiful.....8
Most Beautiful 4mbPP......9 (only cause I got it to stop locking up)
Faria, The Real Thing.....8.5 (too many startup dependancies)
Underground......7 (not much tweaking needed..d/n remember if MMS is part of rom)
Orwell......6 (too clean and too many features not working)

I haven't come accross a 10 yet. :D
Overall, there isn't a bad rom in the group. All this is my opinion.

Ive tried most of the roms and they all have its lows and its highs, pros and cons.

There are others doing what you're doing but they are not up to date. Not only do you have the roms, you also have some very important tools.

I've voted for 5.underground. Stable, fast, applied some reg enhancements i found here. I love it.

Alarms have not been a problem to me (i use them a lot, and didn't mess with any tones or anything) fixed the batt drain with enabling power save on sdcard (found elsewhere on this forem).

I install just about anything like install_*_ppc.exe, just to try it and my wizzard takes it all.

just had some probs with wisbar adv desktop, but thats probably cuz that prog wants to do too much. ppc is not THAT fool-proof yet. Allthough i hope they make a new version of desktop that's less buggy. It's nice, allmost worth the 15 Mb ram i used with all my icons and pages and stuff. It has potential.

Next time i screw up my wizzard i'll try vanilla and let u know

To me the best rom I tried is Vanilla's ROM. Its clean and fast. Second place for Faria's ROM, and third place to X-Plore 1.1

But being honest, I'm not tried MB Rom yet.

The best of the best ROM, the king dog of all ROM for the WIZARD is the (Wizard_NTS_1010811_21911, NTS Edition) the perfect ROM! This is the ONLY ROM that I have not had one problem with at all. This ROM has NOT done the heck up, the stop and go, nor have I had to do soft or hard resets over and over again! That 2.19 radio it has, is very strong and works great with my Slingbox, Orb and online XM satellite radio. No drop call, no data problems, 4 full bars all over here in my area of the USA. Before I install this ROM, my cellual signal was very poor all the time, but not anymore, since I install this "Star Wars" super ROM. Another thing I have not had any problems connecting to WIFI, bluetooth or GPRS/Edge. I tried Most Beautiful, Uderground, X-Plorer 1.1, the real deal and several others, but I had problems all the time with them. The above ROM (NTS Edition ROM) is "FAR SUPERIOR" and runs smooth all the time with machine like percision. Truly, the best of the best ROM.............................!

I'm impressed with your description of the NTS ROM, and would like to try it. A couple of question before I'll start flashing :) (I already downloaded it):
1. Does your link point to G3 version or G4 version (or it works on both?). My MDA/Wizard is G3. and
2. What applications are built into that ROM? I haven't seen a list anywhere, and I assume it's different from NTS vanilla, right?
