G4 Device>>> CID Unlocked? WM6? Huh???!!!???

Ok, so I'm a little behind the times...

I've been reading the forums here for a while today... and I'm more frustrated NOW than when I started!

I have a G4 Device (see my signature, below) ...but, I'm not sure if its CID Locked or not (how can I tell?).

So far, I've downloaded the following files...
1. 'ShellTool_bugfixed.zip' (contains EnableRapi.cab, Cert_SPCS.cab, ShellTool.doc and ShellTool.exe)
2. '5._Underground_edition_Crossbow_ROM.exe'
4. 'Wizard_Love_2.26.10.2_WWE_Novii_CF2.rar'
3. 'Tutorial.zip' (refined tutorial)

Is there anything else I am missing/need? Where do I get it? and what other tools do I need?

You have got G4 locked device. For flashing the WM6 rom u need shelltool which u acquired, so read the guide b4 flashing carefullyyyy!!!!

OK, followed direction, had some minor problems and Wizard wouldn't boot past bootscreen. Needed to use bootloader to install the following ROM...

'Wizard_Love_2.26.10.2_WWE_Novii_CF2'

Then retried ShellTool ...and voila! IT WORKED!!!

Hello. I had the same problem when flashing MB, i had PDAViet3 Installed and copy the cabs of the shell tool (my g4 was locked until yesterday) and try to flash with MB and i had to flash wizard love again. I tried again and it worked just perfect.

So if you have a WM6 ROM already flashed try downgrading first to wizard love or any other WM5 then try flashing MB Rom.

Read shell tool instructions and do as it says, step by step.

I have a locked G4 and used ShellTool to flash WM6 MB onto it last night and it worked perfectly the first time. Many thanks for the great utility and the detailed instructions!
