Video CALL xda live or Vanila.

I upgraded my tytn with xda live.

I read a lot and did find a solution for video call.

Did someone have Video Call working in xda live or vanila ?

How ? pelese ?

I used this solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1149766&postcount=82. Some other people also reported this helped. The only difference for me, was that I installed these skin cabs (see attachment) one after another: "TyTN_Blue...", and then "zphone_..".
Please use search "search" function - these questions were discussed several times in XDALive threads.

Can you really use the video button to dial video call?

Some people can install the dial pad but when pressing the video call button, it just make normal call (NO video)....

Install these cabs it worked on my spvm3100 and video call works fine.

First install MT_PC_HERMES.... then the zpv_leaf

the first adds video calls the second installs the skin.

also make sure that your phone has the correct settings in connections so can actually connect to the 3g network to make video calls

This works well on my UK SPV M3100 on the 3 network.

Used the TyTN Grey dialpad from the wiki to try and match the colours on the Aero scheme.
Anyone found a better dialpad that matches the colours well??

work fine for me but device seems to be slower, that it was before I install it. :eek:

I used this:

MP_CVSDcpl_20060920.cab
MT_PC_Hermes_HTC_REG_070112.CAB
P_Generic_UI.CAB

and after that

zphone_reptile_blue_mm_qvga_3g_wm5.cab

Hi, what do you need to set specifically? I have the dialler, skin and 3G connectivity (for internet) but the Video call fails every time?

Any ideas?

PS I can receive Video calls fine, its just initiating the call from my M3100?

Just noticed that installing this fix on WMXL v.20 gives me the old green background on the Comm Manager program. It's hidious when compared to the rest of the theme. This didn't happen on WMXL v.10.
Any way to skin it back??

Video Call is not such a problem with WM6 anymore.
i've embedded my dialer bitmaps from HTC AKU3.3 ROM to my own cooked Vanilla.

I know this is not a issues thread but I thought I would mention after installing the methods mentioned in this thread to get video call, I've noticed when in phone mode if you press the softkey representing Contacts nothing happens however if you actually tap the Contacts on screen then I can go into contacts, has anyone noticed this?

I have this problem also, I thought it was due to my video skin only though. Not too much of an issue, but suspect when the 'official' XDA Live skin for video calling comes out, then it'll be fixed.

My comm manager is blue. but this dialer lags horribly.........

Strange, my dialer works fine (except for the contacts button obviously) no lag at all. However as soon as I install the P_Generic_UI cab file included in the zip of 3 cabs poseted here my comm manger goes back to the old green HTC one in WM5. This did not happen to me in the previous WMXL release.
Tried it twice now and my comm manager has been reskinned.
Must be doing sommin wrong here, lol.
