I started this thread for a bit of fun to see peoples customised Hermes Today screens, here is mine! I used Screensnap to capture the Today screen. If you want to know how it is done just ask! This is on a HTC Tytn (Hermes 200) running XDA Live. Don't be shy, I have shown you mine now show me yours!

Edit:- see my post further down to get cab files for O2 plus 2.3 and the blue flame .tsk wallpaper, it will work with any WM5 or WM6 pda/phone on any network as far as I know .

Hi,

Here is my today screen. Captured using Soti Pocket controller pro. This program is also perfect for controlling your PDA from a desktop. The skin is quite basic but all the plugins can be used with the scrollwheel. Onehanded navigation to the fullest.

Items on today screen:

-Batti 2.1 (the small battery bar on the top of the screen)
-Calender+ (Much better than the standard callender - Mohair Sofa software)
-SPB Time
-TOMTOM Navigator 6.0 (all of europe)
-Agile Messenger
-IP Dashboard
-Skype for Mobile

-Photo Contacts Pro (Perfect for switching riger profiles)

-Tail of a F28 Mk1000C aircraft from "Presidencia de la Nacion" Argentina. Skin mas made using ThemeGenCE. and is full portrait and landscape compatible.

Everything on one screen at a glance.

SPB Weather
SPB Diary
SPB Pocket Plus (one line of icons - Mort player, tomtom6, vjlumos, sktools (clean ram and rom), resco, and pocketzenphone profile switcher.

Better get started on those publicity committee minutes!:(

By the way I used O2 plus 2.3 for the Today screen icons which has only a small memory footprint and will work on any WM5 or WM6 pda/phone on any network.

Using a custom WMXL Blue Skin. If u guys like tell me ill send to kyphur and have him include it in .30 It may seem purpulish but like in all screens dark blue comes out like that while it looks beautiful on phone.

Nice today screens guys.. Wisbar just slows my phone down toooo much. The today screen takes 3seconds to show when changing apps or closing apps. I use to run, Weather and IP Dashboard and Phone Dashboard on my today screen with Calender+ and Resco Battery. Then whole thing slows down.. Now i only run Resco Battery and Calender+.

It's not a WMXL ROM but also WM6 (LVSW 03/25/07).

So what I have on my today screen:
1. At the top of the screen you can see "Batti" (battery meter)
2. The first today plugin is "PhoneAlarm" with customised "MediaPhone" skin by myself
3. The second today plugin is "rlToday" with customised default skin by myself
4. The third today plugin is "dciCurrency"
5. The fourth today plugin is "pTravelAlarm"
6. The fifth today plugin is "SPB PocketPlus" with "SPB Diary","SPB Weather", "SPB Backup" integrated in tabs
7. The sixth today plugin is "WM Live" (it's not visible on screenshot)
8. The seventh today plugin is "Skype" (it's not visible on screenshot too).

The today theme I'm using is "WM Green".
Also I'm using Phone skin "zpv_springwood" from ZombieNexus.net.
This phone skin fits greatly to WM Green today theme.

Also I have WM5NewMenu attached to the left softkey.

That's Internet Calling connected to my Vonage Softphone account. What's interesting is the fact that it's connected over my 3G WCDMA data connection. My TyTN now has 2 phone numbers, 1 cellular and one VoIP :eek:

Any WM6 build can now have this btw. check this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950) thread for how. :)

That's just it: your service provider has nothing to do with it other than providing the data connection to your phone. In a way, they may consider this their worst nightmare... but if they thought about it they'd see that the money is ultimately in the data connection.

With Internet Calling, you can sign up with any SIP based phone service and attach it to your phone now. Our company phone system has a SIP presence so I can literally move my work number onto my TyTN in addition to my Cingular phone number. Right now, my home phone service is all VoIP so I just added a "softphone" number and pointed my TyTN to their SIP servers.

My apologies to the OP for this off-topic reply btw. I'll stop now.

A lil stupid here... but can you tell me what application you are running to get the plugin just below your Date.. the one that says the Phone network and a wifi button and a bluetooth button there... I have been trying to search for a name.. just don't know where and what to find.. I thought it was O2 Plus...but its not...

It comes with the rom - Wireless Manager today plugin - you have to enable it in HTCTweaks, then it will show in settings > today

With all of the below running I am still running very fast. I am not an expert but I think it could be as HTC is cooked with the rom.

From left to right we have:

SPB Diary (Showing Merged Calendar and Tasks)

Screen#2
Clock tab on SPB Mobile Shell launches HTC Home that is fully working.

Example of HTC Home working.

Screen 4
Second tab on SPB Mobile Shell launches cLaunch. This so for has four defined sub tabs.

Screen 5
Third tab on SPB Mobile Shell launches picture dialer.

Screen 6
Fourth tab on SPB Mobile Shell launches Metrix.

Lol.. no one finger use? That's all I USE is one finger. I dont use my stylus.. since I DONT OWN one.. it's great for 1 finger use... every button opens up a different menu and closes the other.. it's great.. some buttons switch to other pages and all you have to do is hit the vista bubble to return back to main page.. no one finger use.. lol .. thats funny... Im the laziest guy around.

@ Allan1 Its simply iLauncher and Phone Alarm on the today screen. I used to use Wisbar, Spb Mobile Shell, PocketPlus, rlToday, tried out a number of skins, but this sleek screen lets me do what i want fast.
Second screen shows my favorite contacts, just tap on the picture to call or send text message
(notice i dont have a lot of favorite contacts :( hehe)

You can remove the bottom softkeys using VijayToggleToday - check out www.vijay555.com - the cab's on XDA-Devs as well somewhere but you can get it from his website :)

I think the icon bar that JJ has on there is from Spb pocket plus but you can get the same effect for free with ilauncher or o2 plus 2.3.

yup, I'm a Trekkie. Guilty as charged. I have a bunch of different today screen with Trek stuff on them. I've been working my way through the Voyager series though and have been in a lot of the Borg episodes lately so the Borg theme felt right, haha

That skin is ultra nerdy. I like my today screen clean and simple :)

Matched font on slide2unlock with HTC Home Segoe. Cant get shadow as Slide only takes 4bit bitmaps. At least the fonts match.
