Is there a way to lock down the touchscreen during a call? A lot of times when I am done with a call there are numerous applications that have been opened with my cheek.
Thanks

I think you can actually just press the standby button once you're in the call, and it doesn't affect the call, just switches the screen off.

Perhaps I am a blockhead but I do not see a standby button.

Standby button = power button :)
It works - just press the power button after you start the call, then it locks down all the keys for you.
Both the standby button and PhoneAlarm work to blank off the screen. The problem is when the screen is blanked off or in other words the PDA is switched off the call timer stops recording the call duration. For example make an outgoing call and blank off the screen and when you have finished the call check your call history. The outgoing call length will show only the duration it took you to blank off the screen. This can be a problem if you are keeping a record of your outgoing calls for billing purposes.

Not on mine! I can hit standby to run the screen off, then simply hit it again to turn the screen back on to see how long the current call has taken.
But even if your's doesn't offer that option, WM6's call history is seriously beefed up - with the option to review individual call details, and to delete individual calls.

The standby button works great, thanks. As to paying for an application like phonealarm for this, I was about to borrow a line from caddy shack:

I've found that it all depends:
1) You put it in standby when it's ticking already and another patry ends a call - you get only the time between start call and going to standby.
2) You put it in standby when it's ticking already and YOU end a call by pressing the red hangup button - you get the real call duration.
3) You put it in standby before it starts ticking and another patry ends a call - you get zero duration.
4) You put it in standby before it starts ticking and YOU end a call by pressing the red hangup button - you get zero duration.
5) If you turn the screen on during a call for some reason and then turn it off again - you get the time when you turn off the sceen for a second time if the other patry ends a call, or you get the real one if YOU end a call with a red button.
comments anyone?
I'd like to find a solution to turn off the screen during a call but be able to see the real call duration.
