full screen apps keep minimizing

hey guys, any clue why my mda vario II would keep minimizing full screen apps?

so far have seen it for my games as well as tomtom navigator, which is definitely no good. for games i keep goign back to the main menu or just going to the today screen - same goes with tomtom where it runs for 2 seconds and then is back to the today screen!

Has this just started happening?
Are you doing anything (tapping screen etc) when it happens?
Did you install a new prog after which it happens?
Have you tried anthing to solve it?
Does it do it i landscape as well?

Since my ROM upgrade to the latest HTC one (not WM6)

With games, yes. with tomtom-no, it just minimizes.

Nope. also have no running apps in the background - did a reset, started no other app and it still does it.

tried disabling connection / direct push etc, gotten rid of sbp plus and my theme.

Thanks for info. Good news is those answers have ruled out a physical cause that some folks have been getting. But it takes you into a ROM upgrade matter which is not my area. You might want to try posting in the upgrading Hermes section.

probably a related issue, but my backlight does not turn off and my phone does not go off after 1 minute when running on battery, even though its set to!

Probably, there will be registry keys for those settings but without a lot of tracking down I don't know which ones. Frankly I find my Hermes behaves a lot better with fewer freezes if I don't have it set to sleep/turn off backlight automatically - need to remember to do it manually though (which I don't always:( ) I'm lazy - waiting for all those glitches to be ironed out before moving to WM6 - keeping an eye on Kyphur and the boys though!
