I have posted this a few times in the "issues" and "chatter" and one or two other people are having this problem. I have switched my exchange push email from mail2web (at least until they upgrade to Exchange 2007) to Windows live (hotmail) so that I can get pushed HTML. It is, for the most part, working very well in Kyphur's Rom, but there is one relatively major problem. I have indicated in sounds and notifications that I wish to receive sound and on screen notifications of all e-mail that arrives. Windows Live does not seem to be working properly in that you occasionally (1 out of 7-8 emails) receive a sound and on screen notification of email. I am guessing there is some kind of registry entry that could fix this. Any ideas or solutions would be welcome. I have placed Windows Live on the today screen, so I do get some indication of new mail, but no sound or pop up, so the screen must be turned on and you must be looking at it to see that there is new mail. Thanks in advance for any ideas or thoughts.

I find that Phonealarm works for me, always notifies of new 'pushed' hotmail.

It could be the problem of ROM you are using. I am using Faria's ROM and I checked Windows Live after getting to know about it from your thread. Its working fine but I think there are some time intervals even if you select for as it arrives option for SYNC of Windows Live. Thanks for the information, i was trying with mail2web but got the alternate. Do check with the ROM cooker.

Ok I got the main reason. If you are using any Live version and signed in through your Personal Computer not the windows mobile device then you will not get the Push Email as it assumes you are available somewhere to check the email. Do check about it and I am sure you will get the notification and sound if you are not signed in anywhere in world on Live messenger. You will be having this push email thing.
