Hi Everyone,
I have a Dopod696 (brand name for Himalaya in mainland China) for two years and recently it starts to randomly freeze, several times a day. The freeze appears totally random. I can't figure out any correlation between the freezes and the phone, the SIM card, any particular software or the SD card. I tried flushing the ROM with wm2003se or wm2005, but the random freeze persists. I suspect that it is the hardware memory that's damaged.
Could anyone point me to the right direction in further debugging this problem? In windows, there is the event viewer where I can find possible causes of a machine crash. Is there a similar thing for window mobile 2005? Or is there a hardware diagnosis tool available? And does anyone know is the memory replaceable for this device?
