ok.. you need to extrac the rar file and then only launch the exe. Remeber to recharge your trinity before flash ROM.

It's better do not restore any backup after a rom upgrade.
There is a screen with the same test "ONLY TEST" instead of the dopod one.
You can upgrade with SD and SIM, don't worry.

I think the new ROM manage GPS and SDHC, deduces that loading the only part radio these implementations is not managed, is correct?

Yes you lose everything in the phone memory... ;)

you should use "syncronization" with activesync: this way, it saves contacts, ecc into PC. Then you can flash and re-sync your trinity to restore infos into it. ;)

for images & videos, i suggest you to simply copy them into your pc.

This ROM seems to be very stable. No problems in the last 12 hours. GPS works as fine as the dopod ROM. HDSPA connection works fine (and there is the "disconnect" button by default).
HTCHomePlug has the same problem of the dopod ROM: the icons of added programms are not resized.

That's why is a test rom...

1. what's the language of your device ?
2. It's your device sim locked ?
3. If your device doesn't have ITA language and you want to upgrade your HTC you'll need to CID unlock or use the bypass program provided in the forum.

About Vista I don't know.

NO!
You have to run a GPS software: i.e. TT6.03 has an option for internal GPS, while with other programs you have to set GPS on port COM 9.

TT 6.03 is the last release for p3300/3600 etc... 'cause has gps internal option.

thomson, while isn't tecnically required to cid unlock your 3600, i reccomend you to do so because at present day it's required to load a different language rom to get GPS function, and this requires cid unlock. It's quite easy, just follow istructions in the SPL-unlock sticky thread.

well, in my "just bought" ita p3600 i could zoom in and out with pad arrows, since i installed gps-enabled roms (dopod test, dopod ship, lvsw cooked and now ita test rom) this features has disappeared, even if the capture-screen is identical, with up/down (which means zoom in/out) arrows, trees close and far... all put in the left side of the screen. and this is just as the ita manual says... zooming pictures!
any idea?

sorry for my english but...
i think that the freezing problem of TOMTOM 6.03 with ITA GPS TOM ENABLED is caused by the option of WM5 that try to puts the Trinity in stand-by mode after the period that is selected into the power settings, when is powered by the battery and it create a problem because TOMTOM try to stay alive, infact if you connect the Trinity with an external power supply the problem disappear...

ho anche io lo stesso problema e mi pare di aver capito che questa ROM non ceda al 100% la gestione dell'alimentazione a TOMTOM quando questo è aperto, così se è alimentato a batteria il P3600 tenta di andare in stand-by quando passa il tempo che è stato impostato nelle opzioni di alimentazione pure se c'è il TOMTOM...
Allora ho provato a deselezionare l'opzione di autospegnimento e pare che non si blocca più...
o altrimenti basta alimentarlo con il cavetto e non tenta più di andare in stand-by!!!

In sonstanza ho scaricala room che avete postato ho installato il tutto senza problemi e ora mi chiedo: devo modificare anche il Register Key per farlo andare sto benedetto GPS? E se si che programma devo usare e come devo fare? Ho seguito un tutorial per far comparire l´icona GPS in Connessioni ma nisba...Come si fa?

...non devi modificare il registro, devi solo installare TT 6.03, configurarlo per il GPS interno,ed attendere dai 6 ai 10 minuti all'aperto per il primo fix...

ehi amici ho l'spv m3100 già sbloccato; ho installato fin'ora delle ROM inglesi (diverse) e ho solo 1 problema: le videochiamate!!! riesco a vedere il chiamante ma il chiamante non vede me (e come se fosse isolata la piccola cam frontale)!! avete anche voi questo problema? dove trovo la rom in questione italiana? è AKU 3.3? datemi un riscontro.

Hi, for what I have seen so far the best is to use the ITA ROM Test and TT 6.03 and just use the "internal GPS" setting from tomtom. All this, along with the following GPS settings on the device: GPS on GDP1, HW GPS on COM9 @ 19200 baud, GPS handling on automatic. I think the ITA ROM Test is better than the Official DOPOD for TT usage (haven't tryed the one by LVSW). Please note that if you have very poor coverage (1 GPS signal bar on your TT screen) it might still freeze (that's the problem!!) ;) . Now I am in the USA and it has never frozen again (be advised that I always receive at least 8-9 satellites here because they have better coverage)!! :)

Hello guys, i'm an Italian User and i wish you all to live at least 300 Years cause i was looking forward to choose my FIRST PDA Phone and thanks to you i've put an end to my long search. I needed a PDA Phone that could have UMTS and Quadband to use in my travels, usually also in USA and Australia.... so i also can have videoconferences and so on. I Also wanted Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0, also Wi-Fi to use it at home, airports and hotels, and at least with a 2.0 mp Camera with the flash function, for good video and photos........ BUT the most important feature must have been an integrated GPS Receaver, i would have prefered a SirfStarIII.

The P3600 Looked almost perfect while i was reading and searching all around the web, the price and the style was also good, but i was a bit disappointed when i discovered that it did not have any GPS Integrated Chip and no FM Radio.

Thank's to this thread then, i discovered, thanks to my italian guys, that always do it better ( :D ) that i could install a new ITA Rom, that could give a life to the disabled gps chip lying in the P3600 (well it's not a SirfStarIII but we are not gonna trash it right?) and also we can have an FM Radio and the flash player now.

So guys, i'm sure now, i had 7 differentd models in my mind (Asus P535, HP Ipaq HW6915, E-Ten M700 and others), but tomorrow morning i'm gonna buy this HTC P3600!!!

NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! I Just need a little help (If maybe my italian guys have a so great gold heart to add me in MSN or to mail me i would greet them all life long: fxdevilmaycry@hotmail.com). I just need to know what's the best ITA Rom at the moment, the TomTom must work perfectly and i need to know how to install it. I would like to say you that i'm a computer technic and i'm not as noob as you would think, but i don't really had and tried before any PDA, but i have all the basics of the informatics and so on, but so far i didn't find any guide to install the rom.

So, can anyone of you be so nice to help me making this P3600 the perfect work assistant i want it to be for a long time?

You have to press power button during your calls 'cause the display turn off:D
