There have been plenty of released ROM's. Just check out HTC's website to download the newest released rom for your particular model.

LegolasTheElf, I'm not sure what you're talking about. Unless I'm not on the correct internet (:)), the HTC Cingular 8525 site (http://www.america.htc.com/support/8525/software-downloads.html) lists the current production ROM, not the upgrade. According to others here, HTC says, 'sometime Real Soon Now...'

You asked, "[if] HTC has released an official rom". They have released an official rom.

If you meant, "has HTC released an UPGRADED rom for the 8525 yet", that would have been an entirely different question. The answer is, "sort-of". Since the 8525 is a Hermes and all upgrades do actually come from HTC, HTC has released lots of upgrades for the Hermes--though, none specifically for the 8525. At least, not publicly.

the answer is HELL NO.

There is talk of one being released fairly soon, but it WILL be WM5 based, they have been saying a release of the new TyTN rom is scheduled for Q1 2007 (slowly running out of time!).
