Hi all
Sure we know that htc advantage have MiniSD slot (Up to 4GB; supports SDHC)
So for using memories under 2GB you can use normal one , I have seen a lot of 4GB cards on the net but I do believe they are not approved by Secure Digital as SDHC and here is the pic from http://www.sdcard.org/

The different between them is the price and the most important is the SPEED.
miniSDHC is available in three performance classes, Class 2, 4 and 6, created and defined by the SD Association to help consumers identify speed and performance capabilities/minimum requirements of miniSDHC cards and the host device. Class is dependent on the write-speed of the card, the higher the “Class”, the faster the memory card.
The SD Speed Class Ratings specify a minimum sustained write speed for miniSDHC Cards (Class 2: 2 MB/s; Class 4: 4 MB/s; Class 6: 6MB/s*)

On the net I found two 4gb miniSDHC that is in REASONABLE price
One is class 2 and the other is calss 4

your right that is a good price !! I nearly bought it and then I realised I have no other SDHC devices, not even my fairly newish laptop !! so I have no means of quickly transfering data to or from the card to then place it in my phone, unless I connect my phone Via USB !! if I do that I might aswell put it on the internal drive.

Just found one in the UK on ebay.co.uk - Class 4 for £18.99 - I'm having one!

Does anyone know what speed the Athena can write at? If it's less than 2 MB/s then it doesn't matter what class it is but if it's more than 4 MB/s then a Class 6 would be better than Class 4.

My card has just turned up and despite it having a pic of a Class 4 card and it specifically saying it was a class 4 device, the card that has been sent is the Transcend class 2 card.

I have emailed them and await their response.

Does anyone know what speed the Athena can read? Will it make a diffrerence?

Thanks

I order 1 and also transcend class 2, not sure if they have it higher...

Transcend don't - my supplier was misled, offered me a £3 rebate or full refund If I wanted. He has changed his listing and appologised, it was a genuine mistake. I have accepted the rebate and am happy with the outcome, he seamed a genuine guy and resolved it quickly and to my satisfaction.

Pity you can't get class 4/6 but not sure what speed the Athena can work at anyway!
