It is only the CE Rom image, no Radio, no Extended Rom.
I am not sure about the page pool size as it is based on Helmi's 1.1 nbf file.

My opinion is to disable the MS voice command as it eats up around 1Mb of Ram and use the Sddaemon instead.
After flashing the above Rom I usually install SBSH iLauncher, MS Reader, SPB Backup, Akusal's Today single line Date, Helmi's Unhide_Extended_Rom_as_Storage, VJBigphone, Mwilmar's Folders.
I ususlly have 29Mb of free ram after installing all the above Apps and resetting and using Oxios Close Apps.

This is WM6. Video call is not working with WM6 to date. This is for Universal all models e.g. Jasjar, O2 Exec etc

Sory for a late reply. Had to hard Reset my device to find out actually how much free storage space I had since with the Uni my concern is always how much Ram I have.

I see the applications are included in the rom, should be possible to have it as cabs or in an extended rom?

The reason for including the cabs in the ROM is that you dont need to install these after flashing and it also saves a lot of space in the storage memory.
You can try a vanilla version if you don't want the included cabs.

The reason for including the cabs in the ROM is that you dont need to install these after flashing and it also saves a lot of space in the storage memory.
You can try a vanilla version if you don't want the included cabs.

I didn't try this ROM, but i experienced this problem with all wm6 roms i have tried starting from Helmi's one till DarkForce with Radio 1.15.

Hi, I have had this fault on EVERY WM6 ROM to date, I have tried various versions from Helmi, JWright, DarkForce & PDAViet.

As far as I can tell there is a common fault to all of these & it does not seem to matter which Radio version, 1.09, 1.13, 1.14 & 1.15.

I have posted my thoughts on this many times & have seen no response that would result in a fix, so I just accept it. I am assuming that if any of the vendors put out a WM6 ROM for the Uni this issue may be addressed & resolved, but I am not holding my breath !

I just crashed with Jwrightmcps 2.02, and have had to hard re-set, so I have to rebuild anyway.

Downloading now, but if I want to try this one, how do I install? Over the existing ROM? Does that keep the radio set up from before? How about carrier set up?

EDIT: I went for it... seems to be installing OK on top of the other ROM. Q: Did the T-mo set-up come from Jwright's ROM, or is it part of Radio 1.15?

If you earch, this has been covered in the forum elsewhere; you need to fill half the card before camera can use it.

As far as I remember the newer Camera-app should solve it. But I'm not sure. Will try updating now and I also have a 4GB Card.

I was having a problem with Jwright's latest, so I tried this.

I can't comment on stability yet, but WHOA! this baby kicks!! Really really fast, nice set of apps included, and I've got 25.5MB free after soft reset, with PhoneAlarm, rlToday, Weatherpanel, and iLauncher all running! Doesn;t seem like there are any leaks so far.

WA2, which is in the ROM, might be having problems... it is extremely slow, but that might just be the usual.

A minor point for a next release, if there is one: the menu structure is a bit messed up, with the two subfolders for Mobile Office. The OneNote version is better, with the new icons.

Altogether a very nice job. :)

Which ROM does helmis kitchen use.... might sound like a strange question, but according to this forum Darkforces ROM is presently kicking ass in the polls.:D

i am also getting the bluetooth/headset fault being reported by others running Darkforces ROM, (the other person cant hear me talk), i wasn`t getting this with Jwrights ROM, is it known to effect this ROM at all....:confused:

Besides removing sddamon from Startup as you have already done, you could try doing the following registry changes:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\LauchAppEnable = 0 (dword);

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway\BTA GExtModule = vcbthag.dll (string).

And then, soft reset.

No, I don't. I'm sorry for not being able to help you further, but I wonder why you would need it. Besides the volume control of any audio player software loaded on your WM device, every BT headset, either mono or stereo, has a buit in volume control as well.

Are you needing some sort of extra high volume level, for e.g. an extraordinarily noisy environment, that neither the player nor the BT headset volume controls could achieve ?

Sure, I see your point. You are probably comparing the Uni's BT audio volume to other PDA/phone(s) of yours. Well, my Exec is 7 months old now, and my BT headsets are much, much older, from my previous BT enabled phones, and I have never had such volume issues with any of them so far, specially for phone calls.

Perhaps it might be a MSVC problem, because, although I've indicated a way for you to replace CVSD by MVSC (due to your specifc request) , I actually walked the reverse path: I found MSVC to be very memory hungry, in fact, one of the causes for my Exec to hang constantly with WM6. CVSD was not in J's 2.02.00 ROM. I have downloaded it, disabled MSVC and loaded CVSD instead. Since then, neither volume issues via BT headset nor hangups anymore. But that's for me, though !

Hope you find a solution for your case.

Twice this week I have been out in the car & through areas with low or no GPRS coverage, when I get home the Uni has no phone signal & won't get one until I reset.

I have Radio 1.15 & could go through & test the others, but JWright's, PDAViet's & DarkForce's ROMs all coped with this & never gave me this problem. They all have problems (!) but not this one. Anyone, change of ROM needed on the test Uni, still with OEM software on my work Uni which almost never goes wrong.

Does anyone think that we will actually get an OEM / official release of WM6 for the uni ?

I tried to set up 'Start Menu Cleaner', which ctklcmd graciously provided to me, but I'm getting a security block.

Did this ROM not include the enable tweak? If so, does anyone have the reg edit or tweak CAB for WM6?

I think the problem I was having was not security related... I was using a shortcut for Start Menu Cleaner, and instead just copied the EXE into Startup and now it works fine.

After turning off wifi, it will not turn back on. a soft reset is required. Is there a fix for this? if not I will have no choice but to discontinue the use of this rom. Other than that annoying bug, great rom!

and as in the other DarkForce/PDAViet Roms, im expericncing the bluetooth problem that i can hear the other side of the call, but the other side can't hear me.

is there anything that can be done?? this is a major issue, not being able to use the BT headset!

Okay I've played around with this ROM and here is the conclusion:

The wifi fix on this thread works. So that's out of the way, however...

This rom is NOT stable. I believe it's based off crossbow, and to my experience crossbow is NOT stable. I've had my jasjar freeze a bunch of times, during startup and during regular use. Yes, i used the mitty fix.

Battery life is good, memory management is good. Stability is bad. Programs are good!

No stability, me no use. Back to Darkforce's ROM, which to my experience is the BEST one up to date.
