Hi all,

First time doing a thread, I hope I'm not spamming the forum, but I couldn't find a relevant thread to put that in.

I have a few questions about the Wiki's "latest upgrade guide".
First off, the first step involves installing HardSPL. My phone is already SuperCID and SIM-unlocked. Therefore, is this step necessary? Or is it just recommended? Or for an already SuperCIDed device, useless?

Secondly, I want to apply this guide to the X01HT ROM found on the Wiki.
The guide is not quite accurate with regards to this ROM.
The most worrisome difference is about the file names after using nbhextract:
the guide suggests they should be :
00_IPL.nb
01_SPL.nb
02_MainSplash.bmp
02_MainSplash.nb
03_SubSplash.bmp
03_SubSplash.nb
04_ExtROM.nb
05_GSM.nb
06_0S.nb

However, I get :
00_IPL.nb
01_SPL.nb
02_GSM.nb
03_MainSplash.bmp
03_MainSplash.nb
04_SubSplash.bmp
04_SubSplash.nb
05_ExtROM.nb
06_0S.nb

I deleted IPL and SPL as specified, but I notice that GSM is number 2 and not number 5 (and the other file numbers are subsequently modified).
I just wanted to make sure that this would pose no problem.
When using nbhgen.exe, I modified the sample.txt file as follows :

HERM200
HTC__001
1.23.707.6
USA
600,03_MainSplash.nb
601,04_SubSplash.nb
700,05_ExtROM.nb
300,02_GSM.nb
400,06_OS.nb

As you can see, I kept the memory addresses (I gather the 600, 700, etc. are memory addresses) and changed the numbers specified.
I wanted to check whether this is OK? Is it safe to flash the nbh file this creates to my Hermes ?
If this is correct, then maybe the wiki should be changed to allow for more flexibility (and to make the beginners like me feel better).

Any thank you all for reading, and please forgive me for the questions.

Cheers,

Yannick
