I have an SPV M3100, i just installed this ROM and i think that is great!! Finally i have my M3100 in Italian with AKU 3.3. It also shows the H icon while you are surfing in HSDPA!!!! My advice for all the italian users is to install this rom!!! Thanks to xda-developers, you are the best!!!

Very good rom my friend, fast and stable ;) ....tested it for a week or so....however right now, with Black Edition 2.0, WM6 it's almost perfect....definitely I can live without Italian language on my M3100 :)

Very good rom my friend, fast and stable ;) ....tested it for a week or so....however right now, with Black Edition 2.0, WM6 it's almost perfect....definitely I can live without Italian language on my M3100 :)

Try so:
Goto the following registry entry

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Oem\Qwerty]

There is a key called 'Layout' and it is in Decimal.

The default value of English ROM is 20409, and Chinese ROM is 20404 (both are in hexadecimal).

The suitable value for German Hermes keyboard is 20407 (132103 in decimal).
Probably Hermes use 20+country ID (409=WWE, 407=German, 404=Trad. Chinese, etc...) format for keyboard layout value.

The above settings does not work with the latest Hermes firmware, the following is required.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\keyboard layout\Preload]
"Default"="e0010414"
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\keyboard layout\Preload\1]
"Default"="e0010414"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Oem\Qwerty]

The last setting is the same as in the above solution
These settings are for Norwegian keyboard, country code : 0414

Tested on fw. 1.31.502.1

Localization IDs:
French = 040c
German = 0407
Italian = 0410
Japanese = 0411
Kazakh = 043f
Russian = 0419

Appere all'accenzione il Brand "vodafone" ed è settato (mms, internet...etc) per SIM Vodafone. Anch'io ho 3 ma uso ancora la rom htc inglese + WM6 inglese (spv m3100). A proposito, ma funziona la telecamera frontale durante la videochiamata?? non sono mai riuscito ad attivarla! qualche consiglio?

The brand "vodafone" appears when you turn on the device, also, this rom is vodafone setted (mms, internet etc, not editable); I have 3 brand but still usa the english rom and WM6 (on my spv m3100); only a problem: I can't use the front camera during a videocall!!! can someone help me?? thanks

I have a really strange problem since the first time I put this ROM in my italian Vodafone v1605: after some minutes (sometimes hours) operating, my v1605 doesn't recognize the storage card anymore. I have to remove and re-insert the card. If, while the microSD is NOT recognized, I reboot the v1605 without touching the card, I can correctly use it after the boot process.

Also, on the first screen of the ROM I've downloaded there's a big TEST ONLY gray text.

EDIT: found a more appropriate thread, I'll read that one (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=294324). Probably also the random lock-ups of my v1605 after the upgrade to AKU 3.3 depend on this issue.

I only wanted to tell that, yes, unfortunately this Vodafone v1605 ROM has the very annoying "disappearing SD" bug.
After minutes or hours, the storage card is no more visible, and often the PDA needs to be soft-resetted because it doesn't wake from standby.
It seems that the problem is more often seen with Sandisk 2GB cards made in Taiwan (I have one of those, too).



Volevo dirvi che sfortunatamente questa ROM per il Vodafone v1605 ha il noioso bug della scheda di memoria che diventa inaccessibile.
Dopo minuti o ore di funzionamento la scheda di memoria scompare e spesso il palmare si blocca e va resettato in quanto non si sveglia dallo standby.
Sembra che il problema sia particolarmente presente con schede Sandisk da 2GB made in Taiwan (io ho una di queste).

Change sharpness and contrast to 1 and you will notice a BIG improvement in photo quality.

Vodafone Italia officially removed this update from their site, due to the problems that this firmware gave with MicroSD cards and the loss of stability of the PDA after the update was done.

So I'd suggest to update the wiki too, and warn the users that this firmware is officially bugged.

glad for you, you should customize your profile and select your country and operator, so that informations will display in every message you send

Vodafone offered to "repair" my PDA without any fee, but since "repair" means "reflash" I asked them if they can send me the fixed firmware ;) hope they can
