Anyone have mail2web.com account and push mail working with BE v1.2?

Would you share your activesync setting for mail2web.com so I can compare it with my settings?

One thing I notice different is DOMAIN setting which on MW5 I had "ad2" in it and it now greyed out and won't let me input anything on the BE v1.2.

I can place a cursor in the DOMAIN setting box but can't type anything in it or type ad2 in it.

Mine only sync contact list but email aren't being pushed to phone and I just notice other folks having simlar issue with push mail while some seem to be working.

Ok been using for a day now and everything seems to work great.

Exchange server with activesynch-- Working fine
Signal icons are all correct and I didn't have to install any cingular settings cab


Microsoft VC 1.6 works fine and so does VoiceDial with new hack..YAY
Skype works fine also

Everything seems to work but I have noticed that randomly stuff just stops working. Like for example this morning my on/off phone keys just stopped doing anything so I couldn't make a call. Soft reset always fixes these issues and I have experienced weird stuff like this with every WM6 ROM I have used.

As a side note I tried using the full Cyberion VC in the first post. OMG is that program lame compared to Microsoft VC. Maybe this is just me but Cyberion Full VC is not even in the same ballpark as Microsoft VC.

Like I said though Microsoft VC 1.6 works fine with this ROM so I'm happy.

v1.2 rocks like hell! few questions thought

1. how to disable Settings->Input->Word Completion. I have uncheked the Suggest words when entering text but it still (even after soft resets) keeps suggesting :( Same thing was with v1.1 ?

2. SPB Finance doesnt work (installs ok, works ok but after reset, phone freezes) . (but it might be that spb is not compatible) ?

3. System -> About -> Device ID , Device Name defaults to "HERMES BLACK" but it actually invalid since device name should not contain spaces... might not be a problem but just a thought.

anyway... this update really gave some boost to tytn! keep up the good work!

Well now I'm getting very strange stuff.. Randomly my email won't launch.

Some people have asked me how I got VC 1.6 to work with voicedial.

I must stress that the best way to get this working is after a hard reset so no other hacks are involved. I also did all of this BEFORE I installed my headset.

1.) Install VC 1.6 as normal and I usually do a reset.
2.) Install attached BTHack and I usually reset
3.) Go into Start/Programs/BT Voice command and click enable then save and exit.
4.) Install your headset and all should work fine.

I have tested this 3 times after a hard reset and it has worked everytime.

I have installed Black v1.2 and the following apps:-

phoneAlarm (latest beta compatible with WM6)
Pocket Breeze
TomTom 6

Whilst all of these appear to work ok, I have just called me voice mail after missing a couple of calls and too my suprise I have 3 message waiting.

My phone never informed me that I had any voice mails waiting.

I am on UK Orange and used to always get an alert send by the service provider that message was waiting, however I dont get this now.

I did however receive a text message that look very suspect. Basically its a standard text message with the from being "^@". Also the icon of the message seems different to standard. It looks more like a sim card.

Any ideas???

Have flased this rom. Was AWSOME.
Super fast flash.

Then extreamly responsive, very noticable compared to LVSW.
The telstra settings came str8 out of the app, just had to tinker cause in on the datapack (cheers walshieau).

Running SPB Diary, and pocket plus with no issues.

If you chnaged your time zone after setting the alarm this morning it would have moved your alarm to the same time but on a different timezone.

Eg your alarm was set for 6am {Orignal Rom Time} which happend to be 2pm in your timezone.
It should have been a one off thing.

If you are on orange then you wont get voicemail notifications under WM6. Orange are unique in how they do this and its not supported in WM6 yet.

Has anyone ever gotten this or the 1.1 version of this ROM working with Bluetooth PAN and Mac OS 10.4.9? I can't get it to work to save my life...and I'm getting pretty frustrated :(

Well...it's definitely this ROM and/or others like it. I flashed back to the latest SA HTC ROM and Bluetooth PAN works easy as pie on my Mac now...I really like the black...but I've got to have the PAN functionality. Good luck with future versions! For some reason...this version of ROM does not seem to advertise the Network Access Point bluetooth service and instead offers some sort of Personal Ad-hoc Network which is not compatible apparently with the PAN implementation in Mac OS 10.4.9

I had the same problem. It was very frustrating. I believe my solution was unchecking the Use IEEE 802.1 network access control in the WiFi setup. Also make sure you input your Network Key correctlym if you use one. That's a little tricky since the window doesn't reveal what you are typing in, just the *********

Final thought, do you restrict your wifi by MAC Address list? Make sure your device is authorized.

Ok, well I've just successfully patched a dll file... OEM_FlashDrv.dll specifically.

the good news is... SuperCID is now redundant

Patcher included below; this is tested and working on WM6; it *should* work on all other versions but I can't guarantee anything; it shouldn't brick your OS; also, if your ExtROM disappears after patching, then you need to install the privileged test developer certificate onto your phone and it'll work....

I have this odd phenomena where my auto-completion in Outlook will stop working. I will then have to "add contact" from the menu to find the email address. A soft reset restores it, but it happens every 2-3 hours or so.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Also, I have the Palm SMS messaging app installed and on the Today screen test messages are still listed with the rest of the messages. BUT, when I check it there are no messages. The separate Today plugin works and shows "no messages" yet there is no way to clear the messaging plugin.

Anyone seen this issue?

If i pair the headphones they work fine straight after pairing. If i turn them off and back on again i cant get the phone to see them again. Under 1.1 i just pressed the pause/play button on the headphones and my phone would recognise them. Now nothing! I have to delete the pairing and re-pair.

Thanks for your help BigBen, but i have the IEEE 802.1 xxxxxxxx unchecked, the WEP key is inserted correctly(if you type it wrong, windows, ask you again for the Wep Key) and i don't have any restriction on MAC Address.

Like earlier posters in this thread, my device's alarm went off this morning some 3 hours and something late. It wasn't a time zone or DST problem, it wasn't exactly 3 hours or 4 hours, but something in between, if I am not mistaken.

Reset the alarm and it went off on time. I hope it doesn't happen again.

With Spb Pocket Plus:

When press n hold "X" button, characters' color on menu are white (and the menu too). Then, only can see the icons, not the description...

The same problem with Wisbar Adv. Some themes has the same color of the spb's menus characters...

Changed the theme resolve it, but black rox... :rolleyes: :cool:

The problem is that the task menu's enabled options use the start menu item colors instead of regular text colors. I made a cheap fix for it, it's attached.

Looks like I'm having the dissapearing storage card because I tried to launch skype and it told me the files were missing. Soft reset and it launches fine now.


Also my battery life seems to be horrible now. I know this was only an OS update so I'm gonna work with that for a few days but I'm already at 40% from just 6am this morning and usually I will barely be under 50% at 7pm.

I agree! No problems. I have OS2plus 2.3 and my camera works fine.

Slingbox works fine and MS VC 1.6 works fine...along with all the other crap I have on it works fine too. Plus I have tons of space.

The card issue can be fixed

There are 2 registry values
[HKLM\System\StorageManager] "PNPUnloadDelay" = dword:8196
[HKLM\System\StorageManager] "PNPWaitIODelay" = dword:8196
set in in HEX [edited]

Which fix the issue when they are applied. Also even if they do not change they need to be applied after every reset.

For whatever reason wrong OEM values are burned in somewhere and registry value is only taken into account after been applied

Sleut has some info posted on this matter earlier that he double checked with M$. It was related to OEM burned setups for SD overriding the registry...

I have just upgraded to this rom I have applied all the fixes, patches and cab files I needed and I must say I have not got a single issue with it. I have 3g video calling and that works perfectly.

Regarding your problem with SPB, I use O2 plus version 2.3 it works on all Hermes and runs perfectly. It only has a small memory footprint and will save you having to use different applications. Please see my link for the download halfway down the page. :)

'Scuse my ignorance, but is having a lot of junk in the registry and file directory of a recently flashed ROM normal? SK Tools found a lot of stuff to clean up shortly after flashing, when I had not installed programs or done a lot of surfing or anything.

I got rid of about 1MB of stuff by running SK cleanup. Some links, bad shortcuts, etc. it couldn't remove.

I wanted to attach screenshots made with the app on BE 1.2, but they were too big.

Looks like I'm having the dissapearing storage card because I tried to launch skype and it told me the files were missing. Soft reset and it launches fine now.


Also my battery life seems to be horrible now. I know this was only an OS update so I'm gonna work with that for a few days but I'm already at 40% from just 6am this morning and usually I will barely be under 50% at 7pm.

By the way, if you just pop-out your SD card and put it back in, you'll be able to see it. You don't really need to soft-reset.

I really have to disagree. When I leave it unchecked, backlight comes on under bright or dark conditions. When it's checked, it comes on only in the dark.

I have seen your theory in another thread, not sure if you posted it elsewhere or someone else did, but it's wrong. At least on my device ;)

Just to let you know that I've had problems with the Resco today plugin 'freezing' the phone. It won't turn on after being powered off for a while. I suspect from previous experience that it's probably related to the battery meter. Anyway, I've removed the plugin and all is well with this ROM. Thank you.

Flashed ROM this morning, set up Phone Alarm, SPB weather (as per the threads, it was only PP that had issues), O2 plus, TCPMP and off I went. Sync'd with my work PC and all was groovy.

Later in the day I added the exchange server at work and also SPB GPRS monitor (to keep an eye on the exchange data). All seemed fine.

About three hours later, was merrily going along with the eazrphones in (but nothing on) when took a call, and then had a reminder come up. Was driving so didn't look. (hence headset)

Got in, and found phone locked up. Soft reset but now everything VERY sluggish and delayed, including bootup. Have cleared all notifications etc and uninstalled GPRS monitor. Soft reset a number of times.
The weird thing is, since the first reset, the original battery symbol (top right of screen) seems to have appeared - I am sure it was not there before.....

Any suggestions before I hard reset tomorrow morning would be appreciated......

can you please cofirm that LVSW's bass response has been improved. Can you jack your hermes to a spectrum analyzer (maybe one from Agilent) and look at its frequency response. I am curious to see the difference against ROMs that dont have improved bass.

things to look out for.
1. lowest frequency range
2. magnitude of signal
3. leakage
4. clipping issues.

I just installed 1.2 Black edition in last night, it works fine and fast till now. But I still can't make the POCKET MSN to connect successfully, I already installed the CAB file, but the MSN always prompt that connection failed, however, I can surf the web without any problem thru WIFI or HSDPA. I encounter the same problem also with LVSW WM6 ROM.

I tried flashing Hard-SPL on my phone (version 1.11 from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296722) and it says the following (see links below). I tried installing .NET Compact Framework SP1 and it indicated that a version was already installed. Should I downgrade to WM5 to install Hard-SPL?

Love the rom. Only have two small questions/issues:

1) I noticed when I had Windows Media playing some music earlier today, when I received a phone call, the window that pops up in front of what you have on the screen currently to inform you of a phone call( the number, name). This window was being "cut-off" by the bottom of the program where the bottom soft keys are. I also just noticed it again as I am using the Internet Sharing program to type this online. On the bottom on the window where it says Disconnect or Menu. That's the section that was behind the phone call window. I hoppe this makes sense.

2) When I loaded SPB Back up therre were no problems with it.(Of course there was the problem with SPB PP, I wish I was ine the lucky ones to get it going:) )My back up ran but I had an Error that I have never seen before:

I use the latest SPB Backup on this ROM and have experienced no issues with it. Which version are you running? Please remember also that many apps that run on WM5 might not run on WM6 as the API's are a little different.

I figure out why my push mail stop working becasue my data kept dying but it does not lock up phone or give any hint that there was a problem and just dies so I have to soft reset to get data again.

When data dies I couldn't use the browser (keep saying "Connecting") or any data based program like IM+ however the phone and text messaging continue to work.


I will be going back to Cingular ROM for now becasue being a hearing impaired person all my commuiction is done via data only and I depends on it.

BE v1.2 is a nice ROM and perform faster than the Cingular default ROM.

It may not be the BE 1.2 ROM causing the problem but the Radio 1.38 which I also flash on the phone or maybe a combo of both.

First, select something else for that action and save (close). Then come back into the buttons cpl and select the SECOND "Record".

To save some bandwidth, I've recompressed it using 7-zip but did create it as a self extracting archive, so you won't necessarily need the 7-zip program on your computer.

Extra tones were removed by the cooks to save the space. You select the tones that you want to have, rather than having the crap windows ones eating valuable space.

Both these points were answered earlier in the thread. I know its getting big but you can refine a search to just one thread.

honestly mate... y would we do that... we build these ROM to our likings and include applications that benefit US, if you dont like them feel free to cook your OWN rom... honestly we dont force you to install this ROM...

Update: Slowness continued for a few hours, then when I was trying to remember how to Hard Reset (Couldn't quite remember the combination) I soft reset a number of times and then bam. Back to normal speed. (I had soft reset at least a dozen times before that however to no avail)

This morning however I had the "directories all there but can't see any files within them" storage card problem. card in and out did not help, only a soft reset. Using a 1Gb Sandisk.

Anyone got a data monitor that works well with WMB1.2? After last night don't want to install the SPB one until I have eliminted it as a cause.

I have also been having this same problem with BE 1.2, never had it with Be 1.1. Also using 1Gb Sandisk. I usually have to put the card in and out several times before the files come back. Will probably format the card and reload everything to see if it helps.

I've searched this and other Wm6 threads but can't find an answer...

I often use(d) my Herm as an external modem for my laptop, connecting via 3G to get on line on the road. It worked perfectly in the WM5, where there was an app that simulated a modem through bluetooth on the Herm, that the laptop could connect to just like with any 3G phone, and it worked flawlessly.
This application was replaced in WM6 with "internet sharing", which sets up a bluetooth PAN for sharing the 3G/GPRS connection. The problem is, my laptop cannot detect this service on my Herm, and can therefore no longer connect to it.

I read about a bluetooth conflict, but I also tried using internet connection sharing via USB. This causes the laptop to "aquire network address" for about a minute before it gives up.

Does anybody have a CAB of the "modem emulator" from WM5? I don't quite remember what the app was called, but something like that.
Or, perhaps my "internet sharing" app i faulty. Has anybody had any experience with this? Working, not working?

For me this is one of the key functionalities in the Herm.

This is not the correct thread to post this question in, as IS is a WM6 feature, not specific to Black 1.2.

Make sure you have activesync 4.5. When activesync is connected, connect via IS. If your connection settings on the phone is set up correctly, it should work. Use the USB.

I have also been having this same problem with BE 1.2, never had it with Be 1.1. Also using 1Gb Sandisk. I usually have to put the card in and out several times before the files come back. Will probably format the card and reload everything to see if it helps.

First, select something else for that action and save (close). Then come back into the buttons cpl and select the SECOND "Record".

If you select the first one and save/close and come back, it will look like the second one is selected but it's not. You have to select something else and then the second one.

This rom does install very quickly.



Extra tones were removed by the cooks to save the space. You select the tones that you want to have, rather than having the crap windows ones eating valuable space.

Both these points were answered earlier in the thread. I know its getting big but you can refine a search to just one thread.

I use the latest SPB Backup on this ROM and have experienced no issues with it. Which version are you running? Please remember also that many apps that run on WM5 might not run on WM6 as the API's are a little different.

The version i am using is 1.5.5 Build 2610

you can use internet sharing ... under programs it works for me via USB.

I know other are having issues using this but in my case all went down to disable Allow USB connections under connection settings in ActiveSync or better yet disable Activesync.

Place any ring tone you want to add the your phone in the
"My doucuments\My ringtones"
They will then show up to choose.

I search the thread and did not see this issue reported, so here we go...but first thanks again for the great rom.

When on FLIGHT mode, the phone stays at the last icon with a few bars of signal. I have accidentally changed to FLIGHT mode without knowing it and I see signal bar and thought the phone is on, but it is not. If you click on the icon, it will actually ask you if you want to turn on flight mode. But if you go to the COMM manager page, the phone is already off.

When WiFi connected, the 'E' icon stays. In 1.1 versions or other ROM edition, it will change to a cell tower like image so it is a indication that it is connected with WiFi (and then if you click one the icon, you suppose to be able to enable or disable the WiFi - which is not working for now as a known issue)

I have both Tmobile and Cingular and I get 'E' all the time, when I get 'U' with the 1.1 ROM. Is this correct? I though Tmobile should have 'E' and Cingular is 'U'. But this is not important.

Anyone have the same issues?

Do they has to do with the PINK pin page and better 'E/U' icon?

BTW, I accidentially showed the PINK pin page at a meeting and a few ladies noticed it and keep asking.... I think a PINK edition may get this real fast: "Feel free to make donations to us in terms of BEER and WOMEN!"

I can't get ActiveSync to work with my exchange server with this rom. I get the error 80072f0d when trying to sync. I verified my cert on my desktop computer, and it's a Verisign cert. I tried importing the cert and that didn't help either.

I'm now re-installing the ROM to see if somehow there was an issue with the upgrade. I doubt that there was.

Just goto DELETED and the error message states on my device that "The Certificate was issued by a company you have not chosen to trust." UHM.. Okay, I haven't made ANY config changes. I hate errors that state that "I have chosen," where I have not done a damn thing.

I'll post back once I have reflashed, I'm surprised no one else has reported this issue with Verisign trusted authority certs.

BTW.. Love the ROM except for the issue. Thanks for all the good work.

I just reflashed, the issue with Verisign Certs is still there. Can't sync via my exchange server because we use Verisign Certs.. Back Reving now.

if it happens using firefox on your desktop PC then its not a problem with the ROM.

I did a hard reset and left out Agile Mobile IM and SPB Mobile Shell and now it works flawlessly. It is much faster and runs a thousand times better.

Thank you so much for this great WM6 upgrade ROM. It works really well and upgrading was very simple. I was able to apply the Cingular keyboard patch and the Cingular WAP/Data patch as well and it works great. The push email with my job's exchange server also work just fine and so does MS VC 1.6. Some feedback I would like to provide for now:

1. The disappearing dialpad. I've tried to change the change the themes around to get it back but that didn't fix it. I then went to use the included HTweakC program to "Disable Phone Skins" when it led me to the second problem.

2. When running included HTweakC 2.1 program, I get the following GPF message: "A native exception occured. ExeptionCode: 0x80000002 [CR/LF] ExceptionAddress: 0x00ea8328 [CR/LF] OK to terminate [CR/LF] CANCEL to debut". I ended up just installing fit4cat Hermes and ran it just fine. I disabled the phone skin and that solved problem 1 above.

3. I installed Vista Earth Mobile and get the same error as in error 2 above.

I will re-install Vista Earth again and see if it fixes it. Don't know how much help this will do you to give you this info, but in case you wanted feedback on errors or problems encountered then here they are.

I just sent you a quick donation in appreciation to the hard work you have done. Funny how my wife also made the same threat to me about going to bed very late in the night, or early in the morning, around 3AM none-the-less anyway :) Wives just don't understand I guess.

In ragards to 1) if you untick disable phone skin you will get a white dialer because there is no 3rd party skin installed by default, hence thats why it was ticked by default.

2) Have never experienced that problem but i see you fixed it

3) I have never used Vista earth. Is it compatible with Wm6? did u have vista earth installed when u also received the HtweakC error. I am just wondering incase vista earth overwrote something in the windows directories which caused some instability.

It was Mobile Shell giving me the headache an not Pocket Plus.

It made my device vey sluggish and caused lock ups. Right before I hard reset I got a shell32 error. I cannot verify it was Mobile Shell but I did not re install that program and now all is blazing fast with zero defect.

strange, it seems the spb software house hasnt got their bugs sorted to be fully compatible with wm6 (maybe because its not released yet - formally :).

nonetheless, i have found that sbsh outperforms spb in the tests i have done, and much more customiable. looking into purchasing a license.

Not sure if you are saying you are running both, but you should never use two task manager programs at the same time... so wisbar and x-button/spb both trying to close programs or run features on the close (x) will cause problems.

If your carrier is Cingular then you probably need to disable proxy while using Wifi to use IE.

thanks a lot for the really fast ROM. BTW, the storage is really amazing, I no longer take care which application goes where (memory or card). Installed a lot in main memory and still 40Mb free. Amazing!
One quick question/suggestion:
I think it would be very useful to get a little application that can map the ALT-TAB function to one of the HW buttons, smth like SPB PP has included. But I just want this small feature, not the whole SPB PP, especially since it is not working that great with WM6.
I would assume that such an application should run as a serious candidate for flashing together with WMBE 1.3, in my oppinion, since it would not even be that big, I assume. I think anybody would like that.
There was another post some pages back, but no asnwer.

Sorry, I used a newer ZIP algorithm. If you're using the internal Windows "Compressed Folder" stuff, it probably wouldn't work. I've attached an old-ZIP version here. Unzip it and put the TSK file in My Documents. Then select "Wmbe2" as the theme.

Thanks for your help BigBen, but i have the IEEE 802.1 xxxxxxxx unchecked, the WEP key is inserted correctly(if you type it wrong, windows, ask you again for the Wep Key) and i don't have any restriction on MAC Address.

I have a similar problem. At home I have Open - WEP and I cannot connect to it. It keeps asking for the correct key and the correct key is in. I have tried Vanilla, XDA Live & LVSW and I can connect to my home network with all of them but Black is obviously my favourite and would like to do it in that.

Sorry, I used a newer ZIP algorithm. If you're using the internal Windows "Compressed Folder" stuff, it probably wouldn't work. I've attached an old-ZIP version here. Unzip it and put the TSK file in My Documents. Then select "Wmbe2" as the theme.

you have tmobile in the US, you can't utilize 3g network therefore you can't have simultanious data and voice transmissions.

Great job guys, ROM is nice and fast.
However, can't seem to get a data connection though. Have load the Aussie Ops settings from CWW Enterprises AUS Operator Con.cab, but nothing. Even tried the Telstra settings cab from clubimate but still no luck. Have enabled GPRS/3G auto attach & Set connection always on in HTweakC, but still nothing.
Was working fine under WMXL 0.21.
Any ideas?

Yes, it will erase all data except that on your microSD card (if any) and ExtROM.

DO you have any other phone profiler software installed, e.g. phone alarm, pcoketzenphone etc? as these programs take over notification sounds etc... so no matter wahat u change in the system settings, they will revert back to what those 3rd party apps have set.

OK, think it must be a network or sim card error. Exchange push mail works fine when I have a wifi connection. I know my work was moving me to the $49 200mb data plan, so maybe they have stuffed something up.

let me clarify, the tick box for the sound was not selected by default, nothing else.

im typing this on my hermes connected via wlan and wep. I've used HTweakC to re-enable the battery power icon. However it doesn't appear after a soft reset until I plug the phone into the USB port (and presumably if I put it on the charger it would do the same). After that it behaves as normal. Has anybody else noticed this?

On the topic of battery charge, what is the "moving chargebar"? I have had that enabled but couldn't see any difference. I gather it is an alternative to the power icon, but if I can't see it I can't use it!

Before I forget, thanks to Walshie for helping me get the rom going on the Three network. Everything's working like a charm, and thanks for taking the time out to help. This is the first time I've ever changed my ROM, but there are two things that stand out about it (apart from the colour) - everything works, and it is DAMN quick!

And a minor thing - where is the option to choose the Australian Three network in my user profile? I'm not really with Voda, but what choice do I have?

Yeah WPA in work was fine, just switched back to Vanilla and I can connect no problem via WEP. Reception's about the same as yours. Have you got anything I can try\look into to get to the bottom of this, set me in the right direction?

Am using WMBE 1.2 and have switched to WEP (usually use WPA-TKIP) to check this out seems to work fine whether I pick open or shared.
Using a linksys wrt54g router running custom firmware (DDR-WRT) but should not really matter?

Update: Slowness continued for a few hours, then when I was trying to remember how to Hard Reset (Couldn't quite remember the combination) I soft reset a number of times and then bam. Back to normal speed. (I had soft reset at least a dozen times before that however to no avail)

This morning however I had the "directories all there but can't see any files within them" storage card problem. card in and out did not help, only a soft reset. Using a 1Gb Sandisk.

Anyone got a data monitor that works well with WMB1.2? After last night don't want to install the SPB one until I have eliminted it as a cause.

Oh well, Hard reset in the end and put everything back on. Worked fin for a day and a half, then as memory was getting used, I decided to soft reset - BIG mistake. Something on my system REALLY does not like the soft reset - same issues as before.
The only today plugins that have loaded are the date one and the little O2 plus symbol at the bottom.

It will be a right pain to hard reset now as am away from my works PC till midweek. Will try and wait it out for a bit then keep soft resetting repeatedly I guess.....

1) The first meeting in my calendar each day is an appt I put there to wake me up. I get up at a different time each day so this works better than the alarm function. I am not getting a reminder for these meetings. Other meeting seem to alarm ok. Anyone else having similar issues?

2) If I turn on 'As mail arrives' inside of activesync, the device won't go to sleep. Changing it to every 10 or 15 minutes fixes the issue.

3) I have loaded a cab I think I got from the beginning of this thread which is supposed to make holding down the comm button turn on and off vibration mode. It isn't working for me, anyone else using it? I should mention that I got used to setting the button to voice commander from ms. On the newest Cingular ROM 3 had this working, but not with 1.2.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Look around for a program called "TwkCL" around the forums/Wiki. If you don't see it here then try a web search. You will place the file in your Startup folder. Every time you reset your phone that file will enable the ClearType in landscape.

I have upgraded the radio to 1.38 and still having the same problem. My service provider doesn't have any cab file to install for settings please advise what to do. It works fine with my original jasjam rom and any radio. thanks

guys< i have a BIG problem. since a put WM6 (nevermind edition) i cannot add new contacts. I press new contact, i write the number and the name, after i press save, nothing happens.

i reflashed a couple of times. this is the 4th or 5th version of WM6 that i have. in none i could do it.

by the way, what is SA ROm? you mean South African rom? as far as i know, this is WM5. and you are promoting you country this way, right?

The Black 1.2 ROm doesnt have an EXTROM, the files in their are from your OLD ROM.

The extrom usually contains carrier settings or customizations. THey are not needed for this ROM but ensure you have your carrier settings in HAND or download CWW Enterprises Aus carrier.cab on the firest post. This cab is designed for setting up your device with AU carriers.
