I have to say, I have had pretty much every PDA phone from the PDA2k up through to this new AmeO.

My thoughts:

I love the AmeO but it has one major problem for me. You cannot use it as a standard telephone. Compare it to the UNI. Phone rings, u push the answer button and you hold it to your ear and talk away in privacy.

With the AmeO, you have to A) crack it open and push the answer button, B) slam it back together again, C) turn the volume down so the rest of the town cant here the caller, and D) look pretty ridiculous holding a brick against your ear.

I have to say, I couldn't give a toss about ppl laughing at me for holding a brick to my ear if they couldn't here what my caller was saying.

My honest opinion is it is an amazing device with some pretty amazing features, but as a telephone it's a no no. I'm going to keep it, of course, but my main phone is going to be the ETEN X800 when I can find somewhere to buy it from.

Thanks for listening :)

you can always just use a BT headset, work perfectly for me

Exactly what I am doing now, but I would still like to be able to hold it to my ear.

One little speaker and the ability to use it (Rather than always loudspeaker) would make this the largest perfect device. PS battery life is excellent.

Dunno how I'm gonna fit both this and an X800 in my pocket :)

I use a Jabra BT800 headset with caller display and call list, voice dial, etc functions..... Works perfectly for me and was only £30 delivered from a uk seller on ebay
