Hi,

Here is my solution with the powerdrain and much problems like MMS, Ringer, Backlight ect.


1. Downgrade to NVID!!! (http://www.sharebigfile.com/file/109203/RUU-Prophet-220734-2207114-024721-NVID-exe.html) & Mirror (http://rapidshare.com/files/22972927/RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID.exe.html)
2. Upgrade to Smart1 v2 (http://www.sharebigfile.com/file/114703/smart1-wm6-pp8mb-NEW-new-exe.html) & Mirror (http://www.meerman.speedxs.nl/files/smart1_wm6_pp8mb_NEW.v2.exe)
3. HARD-RESET (Hold down camera button, comm manager button and reset the device keep holding the buttons down until you get the following message on the screen: "Press Send to restore factory default." At this point press Send (Green Phone)
4. Check if the Model no. is correct (if not -> begin from step 1)
5. install Total-Commander (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=35763&d=1174503714)
6. In Total-Commander type \Extended_rom
7. run ALL cab files manually.
8. soft-reset your device.
9. install the radio rom 2.61.21 (ftp://xda:xda@ftp.xda-developers.com/Uploads/Prophet/Prophet-roms/Radio_ROMs/Prophet_G3_G4_RadioRom_v2.61.21.exe)
10. HAVE FUN!!

I think.. stand by, it would be 5 days... because now I used for half an hour Skype!!
And sended 5 sms and made 2 phonecalls

and yes.. it works with USB charging and fixes the Wireless profiles :D

Dear Smart1, is this a correct procedure? I flashed another version of AKU2.x NVID rom then flashed WM6 v2 rom. The files in the extended rom seem to be from aku2.x's rom. Have also tried to flash the qtek aku2.x NVID rom, after flashing the same WM6 v2 rom, the flies in the extended rom are not the same. I think you included the extended rom files in the core rom, right? So that we don't need to run files in extended rom manually? Plz advice. Tkx.

i've downloaded nvid, smart1 new, and radio rom already.

what should i do?
am i to flash nvid on my 818pro while the device is in standby mode (homescreen) or do i have to set it first to bootloader? correct me if im wrong, but the boot loader that i know is the one with 3-color screen right?


and btw, does the device still able to use IRda and other connectivity such as WIFI, bluetooth,gprs? are they fixed already?

I assume it's Needed to flash back!

And all the files are in there... if we don't needed them, why not unlock the extended rom and use that as storage?

hi! i use EASYTWEAK. you can make your cabbed files remain after install. i've tried it in wm5. but you may try if it will work for wm6.

I also did what binky said, and find out that the cabs doesnt disturb anything. My device still runs very good and the battery life indeed is much better than before i installed the cabs...

yes, extrom is just a number of cabs with some customization and registry hacks&fixed designed for wm5 aku2.2, you could find description for each file or dump cab yourself to see what it is. I still wouldn't recommend doing that.

Hi..I just installed smart1 v2 on my imate jamin and it is working extremely fine without any problems. But after installing "Total command" I did the soft reset, and when restarted, it is not accepting my password. It is giving a message that the password is wrong...Can you please help me... Before resetting, the same password worked..

hello to all.
smart 1v2 WM6 is a very good piece of work.
fast stable and looks with less memory leak than the roms before.

there is no compatability issues with application from WM5.
application running well without any visible errors.

there is a small matter of the dedicated memory for applicatio vs. storage.

after installing only min. app. to the phone memory and most into the MMC

that leavs me with 22MB memory , when starting skype these level is going into 12-14MB , so with 1 more app like active sync, device freezes.

but on the other hand i have 35 MB of storage (device not MMC) which i rearly use. so if we can set program memory anothe 15 MB and stay with storage of 20MB only it looks to me more practical.

we ALL have MMC that are getting bigger day by day, but we stay with the limitation of program memory. so i think we can give up some internal storage space for this good reson.

i will be happy to hear comments for that.

Hello All

I have done the following on my I-MATE JAMin:

1. Downgrade to NVID!!!
2. Upgrade to Smart1 v2
3. install Total-Commander
3. In Total-Commander type \Extended_rom
3. run ALL cab files manually.
4. soft-reset your device.
5. install the radio rom 2.61.21

Everything works perfectly except i cannot open the contacts application or i cant synchronize my contacts at all. Can anyone please help????

After you install the Smart1 V2, you have to HARDRESET!!!

Here is my solution with the powerdrain and much problems like MMS, Ringer, Backlight ect.

3. HARD-RESET (Hold down camera button, comm manager button and reset the device keep holding the buttons down until you get the following message on the screen: "Press Send to restore factory default." At this point press Send (Green Phone)
4. Check if the Model no. is correct (if not -> begin from step 1)
5. install Total-Commander (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=35763&d=1174503714)
6. In Total-Commander type \Extended_rom
7. run ALL cab files manually.
8. soft-reset your device.

Thanks for this. I had a Jester's ROM with radio problems, I put that radio and everything is fine now, plus I have a slightly longer battery life to boot!!

Now to consider whether to install the full WM6 rom not!

Any news whether SMART1 is going to release some new version soon?

The reason for this is quite simple. The tools that are used to perform a WM6 upgrade don't work if you don't have a lower version of WM5 installed first.

So we say install NVID first to ensure a clean platform for the WM6 install tools. It doesn't actually have to be "that" version (I have a copy of Jesterz 2.2 on an SD card that I flash first) but packaging it up make it idiot proof and stops people saying will this do, and where can I find that.

If you follow the instructions then you will have a WM6 device.

i can send mms but i can't take one...

I have upgraded (and downgraded) my S200 many times in search for the "perfect" WM6 but I'm under the impression and according to binky11 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=417443)'s solution in order to achieve the stability and bug fixes, one must downgrade specifically to NVID, not just any WM5 ROM. Or so that's what binky11 did say.

Right now I'm on Smart1 V2 WM6 ROM (upgraded from some other WM5 version) and it seems to be working just fine as it is but was wondering if NVID's ROM was in fact a prerequisite and why?...

I followed the process explicitly up to the point where I could not run the EXtended_rom.

I skipped this (steps 6,7) and did the rest. Total commander would not show me the ext ROM files.

It works fine EXCEPT i have no wifi??

Any ideas how to enable this guys? I searched and searched.....

Please try this:
1. Enable WIFI
2. Soft-reset (with wifi on)
3. Enable WIFI
4. wait to 1 minute
5. Start Windows Live Messenger

I did this and it works, thanks. Not to check the teeth of the horse's mouth, but any particular reason why this procedure makes it work, when just a normal connection doesn't?

Wow, quite a stable rom, and i must say the speed is excellent. It seems to get even faster after disabling the Task Manager.

Just one query, the font seems to be the same as wm5 devices, the wm6 font shown in some pics looked different. If yes, is it possible to get that one..

Great ROM- so far not spotted any problems.

Why is the keyboard a dark grey now with different colours for shift, enter?

That is just Jester's WM5 AKU3 ROM to which I applied some fixes and the radio rom listed in this thread.

Just to re-ignite the debate again a little, I am almost certain that binky1's fix does not actually make all the issues people are experiencing go away. Specifically:

- MMS messages are not received
- Wifi settings disappear after a few resets
- IMAP / additional email accounts disappear after a few resets
- Wifi activation issues* (see bottom of post)
- Bluetooth has to be re-paired with device occasionally for A2DP

Now.. ..before you start flaming me and saying "install the CAB files", or "upgrade the Radio ROM", I have done all of this and downgraded to NVID first, and also remembered to hard reset properly after installation. My details are:

O/S 10.2.0.8
Radio Rom 2.61.21
(G4 Model) (SPL/IPL .001)

Also installed: MIDI patch.

To be honest, reading other posts on this thread, it would seem that the ExtROM cab files are old patches from AKU2.2 anyway. (Not that installing them seems to do any harm)

So...

Search for my posts regarding WIDCOMM in the smart1 WM6 thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=295225).

I managed to get the stack working, but when trying to start BT-service again after
using another connection like Wifi/GPRS, I get the 'driver memory'-error again and have
to soft reset to get the stack working again.

Smart1 said he would rebuild the BTstack_v51.cab, so it works on his ROM.
So far, we are still waiting for the new cab to be released by smart1.

I am one of those others!!!! And I do get a little fed up of repeatedly being told to try something that doesnt work!!!!!

The only problem I am experiencing is the MMS issue! I have had problems with email and Wifi settings but they seem to be ok now (fingers crossed, famous last words etc.)

In the end I deleted the MMS account so it doesnt keep reminding me it doesnt work :) But I would love to try Smart v3.

I have tried the PDAMobiz 0.99 and that was pretty good (MMS worked for me) but it kept crashing, so I am waiting to try their v1.00 too.

Agree with you those cab files from Extended ROM does not necessarily solve those problems. For exmaple after Upgrading to Smart1 v2 my WiFi worked straight away and kept its settings after dozens of resets. Bluetooth I'm only using for a GPS mouse and for a headset and also worked from the beginning with no problems. Somehow everyone as different luck with the ROM after upgrading. But according to certain post of this thread Binky11's suggestion worked out for some of us. I'm still happy with v2 although WM5 ROMs has less glitch, but remember it's a WM6 port from a different device, so well done!

The only issue is the sound when I receive a call, dont play anything, just vibrate, Why?

Never did. Just wanted to say that somehow this ROM plays games with us. Some are lucky some are not (although we all got Prophets) and I'm happy to see that people here come up with ideas and solutions. I also do need help from time to time...

So I installed this ROM using binky11's method, and this is my experience with it (please note, I did not install any other patches after step 10):
Fast boot, nice interface, only issue was with the start menu sounds
BT worked immediately. Synched over bluetooth connection without problems.
Wifi works, however forgets settings after a few resets. Also starting Wifi requires 2 clicks, and clicking on Wifi notification in top status bar, shows "Turn Wifi On" even when it's on.
GPRS data and MMS worked immediately without hassle.
MS Live worked after soft-resetting with Wifi on.
Task Manager works.
Battery drain is normal, however has the battery charging bug, you have to soft-reset with it connected to the desktop for charging to work.
HTML emails look very nice.
Contacts application has had some good re-vamp.
Dialer certainly more useful than the old one.
Nice upgraded keyboard.
PhonePad however does not load. WHen you select it, it activates the Keyboard.My worst gripe however, was with the Radio, and I'm not oncluding this with the above points as I was having this problem even with an AKU3 WM5. I had problems like SMS' I send leaving late when the mobile would say they would have been sent, people calling me and getting a dial-tone but my mobile does not even buzz or notice. I am not saying this is a problem with this version of WM6, just saying that if you have a finicky Radio like mine, you will have problems with non-standard ROMs.

I have now gone back to the NVID ROM, as listed in step 1 of this thread (plus SPB Diary and SPB Mobile Shell and WM6 Dial Pad), and till now all problems seem to have been solved.

Smart1v2 : Ok (finally as simple as a with an executable and a classic rom file, but seems strange (used to update on universal and no need to batch to do that)
Radio 2.61.21 :OK

Now prophet is in english, going really faster enven after all my apps reinstallation.

I found a serious issue with Smart1 v2, if you set a password lock after a few restarts the password is lost :-( I was able to repro the bug 2 times.

I just downgraded to WM5

yes, this bug is serious, i had to downgrade to wm5 because to me, is very important to set the password in my prophet

i found out what was wrong...the speaker is fine...i've installed imusic player, and after removing it, everything is ok...seems to be only for wm5

New problem - this problem has just started after 4 days of Smart1 v2 WM6 working great. Only the Vibrate works on an incoming call. I;ve tried changing the steeings and the ring type and sound. Still no ring????

:-the password suddenly lost after soft reset! now i don't put any password in case the bug happened again...

Hello all,

I found a serious issue with Smart1 v2, if you set a password lock after a few restarts the password is lost :-( I was able to repro the bug 2 times.

I just downgraded to WM5

Is there any progress in resolving the lost-password bug? Is it known what configuration/actions cause this bug to happen (e.g. chaching opt.)?

I did manage to reproduce it several times with soft-resets but the behavior still appeared to indeterministic to me to locate the potential cause of the bug.

Additionally this seems to be a problem with various of the cooked ROMs. Smart1 as well as PDAMobiz show this bug.

Any suggestions?

I think this is pretty strange.. After using your method above it seemed to work, but after a soft reset the model id went back to the square.. But instead of starting back at step 1 i tried to find out why it changed back.. I tried to soft reset serveral times, but that didn't seem to help.. Then i flashed the Radio ROM to 2.61.21 and when it booted up again the model id was WIZA200.. Pretty strange, but it works.. :D

Does anyone find the difference of these versions? I downloaded Smart v1, v2, and 3. I check the files size and date it seemed to be identical. I also downloaded the WM6v1.1i. It has the os.nb file one day newer. That's 3/17/07 instead of 3/16/07. I also compared to WM6 1.0. The files date and files size are all the same as 1.1i. These are all update of Prophet 2007 WM6 which has USB charging and WiFi problems. I did not check out Smart v1, v2 or v3 or 1.0. I installed the v1.1i which had a Thai keyboard but also had a set of of tools in "Tool" menu in which some tool worked well and some just hadn't figured out. The new ROM boot much slower than the WM6 Prophet2007, hangs more often now and then.

I had Ring sound disappeared, no vibration either. Sometimes it took a few boot to get it to work. Resco Today plugin got trashed once and took a few reboot to get back running. Active sync automatically starts for no reason.

Don't put password on the machine! If you reset or did a backup then it will loss the password and you will need to do a hard reset to get back the machine ...... a real pain.

Other than some not quite clear stability issues, everything else seems to be able to live with. I have yet to find any of my machine, (Treo600, Treo650, Dopod818, Dop818Pro, O2 AtomExec) that I think is perfect otherwise forum like this and others will not be needed. Actually, I was able to get the WM5 works fairly decently, but why I want to go to WM6!!??

i've a bad experiance with the password issue, i use this mobile to retrieve the company's mails and the security of the exchange server force to have a password, SUDDENLY when i enter the correct password it tells me wrong password

now i've downgraded the mobile to it's original ROM and for a week now it never HANGS, and i mean it never HANGS

hope that our developers find a solution for that issue as it's really annoying

Doen anyone have the ring tone that come with this rom? :cool:

Although this is the best and fastest rom I ever used, there are still some serious that makes me unhappy with it

1- When another call is received while being in the first call, the message disappears in a momment by which I cannot recognize who was calling, also the number is not stored in the missed calls
2- After a soft reset, the partnership between the PPC and the Bluetooth head set is lost and I have to re-establish it again

Hope somebody faced these problems and have solutions

I've upgraded my Qtek S200 with WM6 Smart1 v2 but if the phone enter in stand by, the card is no longer recognized. How should i fix that problem?:mad:
