View Full Version : AMEO/ATHENA/U1000 - alternative ?

hi all,

My upgade is due in a couple of weeks so i need to decide what device i want. and i need to admit i am really confused at the moment. universal the device i have been using so far was great. big screen, full keyboard and so on. so i want device with similar performance possibilities.

i was thinking of ameo cos i am with t-mob but been reading athena threds and i am a bit scared off by non-phone usage and some other issues you have here.

i was thinking if there is an alternative or any recomendations as to other pda device i could choose? and why ? i can sell my future athena and get myself virtually any device i want. so i want to go far a great device!

specs look good and the design way better then athenas :) IMHO

I think it is going to be a while before we see it in the shops !!

Maybe I am wrong but I think i-mate proc is much slower than Advantage? Only better thing on i-mate would be design (for some) and Wi-Fi but I have just g standard at home and on job so I don't care about faster standards.

But that has no GPS and no SDHC support to give decent storage space. The screen is too small. The processor is also not as good.

However, the keyboard looks good. The 802.11n is good. The FM tuner is a plus.

Overall still can't match Athena I think.
