How do you "Relocate the Temporary Internet Files, History, and Cookies locations to the Storage Card to save precious main storage memory"?
Care to tell us what device you have, what your OS is, what ROM you are running, etc? Things work differently on different roms, etc...

Easiest thing for you is to go get a copy of Registry Wizard (search around here for the link. Sorry, I don't have a link handy) and install that. It gives you an easy way to change these values (as I recall).

Hey, I did that hack to show the extended_rom2 thing.

First, can I save the cookies and stuff there?
Second, I am having the camera issue like everyone else.

Do you think it is due to the fact that the camera sees extended_rom2 as a storage card and can only use one so since E comes before S it picks extended_rom2?

Then if that is true, what do I do? :)

Be very careful with the extended rom hack (making it visible). Don't put (or change) anything in there unless you know what you are doing (or you may not be able to do a hard reset, or things won't work after a hard reset). Its a cool thing, but you can mess up stuff if you aren't careful with that. That area was hidden for a reason ;)

If you have space issues, I would suggest you look at CID Unlocking your phone and then upgrading to a stable rom like Faria's AKU 3.3 or one of Molski's. You'll find you have a LOT of extra space available to you after doing that. Those roms (for the most part) work very well and are very stable (unlike the WM6 ones currently, although the mUn and Faria ones of those are MUCH better).

Well it is a T-Mobile and I use Cingular and O2, so I am not sure I really use any of the files in that section?

Maybe I will rehide it.

OK Mine is unlocked. I never even had it on the T-Mobile network :)

Ok, first things first... You will need to do the CID unlock procedure. Since you are 1.08 on IPL and SPL, when you upgrade it will become CID Locked if you don't do this. So first thing, read this:

You can start at step 4 since you are already on a 1.x ROM.

Do all of the steps (including flashing the TMobile 2.26 ROM on your device). Once you complete that you will have an IPL/SPL of 2.26 and your device will be ready to install new ROMs.

Personally, I'd recommend the Faria AKU 3.3 rom:

I haven't used the Molski one, but a lot of people live on it and rave about it. I have used teh Faria one and its very nice and stable and comes with a lot of stuff built into it.

Understand that with all this flashing, you will have to reinstall your apps and will have to resync to get your contacts and stuff back. So take some backups before you start so you can get stuff back (or move stuff you want out to your SD card).

Yes the upgrade to 2.26 will rehide this (I think).

Why can you not active sync? If you can't do that then you may be better off not doing any of this. There are steps of doing SD installs, but I've never done it. Read the Wiki as there is a link to a post about doing this.
