As we all know, the new Messenger synches all your Live contacts with your phone's contacts (May you like it or not)
In a sense it doesnt matter too much for me (Though it pollutes a bit my Contact database)
I ran into a few problems, though and I'd like to know if some of you have the same ones:
1. These new contacts do not synch with my mail2web account. May it be that Mail2web uses Exchange 2003 and not 2007 ? (All the rest: emails synch or usual contacts synch work)
After all I am not too unhappy they dont synch... so fine with that. The rest is more troublesome
2. I have many doubled contacts between the ones added by Live and the existing ones. The trouble is: if I delete one added by Live and add the extra info (IM1 address) given by live to the existing contact, Live does not recognize it and I lose it from my contacts in Live (I guess Live is adding something else I cannot see from my contact fields under WM...)
So... i did the reverse. deleted the "normal" contact and added the extra info the the contact added by Live. Live doesnt lose it. Great. BUT then I cannot synch my contacts with my Mail2web anymore (I get an error and it stays stuck...). I guess again the "extra" added by Live makes the contact unsynchable... And while when it was untouched, it didnt disturb synching, once modified it just make the whole process fail (Again could just be a Exchange 2007 vs Exchange 2003 problem, no idea)
Anybody can help ?
