Hello,

As the way things are going it seems that T-Mobile USA might be using this phone as the successor to the MDA (HTC Wizard).

Any one with this phone can comment on the performance ? ALso are there any WM6 roms for this phone ? Any one knows about the plans for WM6 on this phone. Or anything else that any one can comment on this phone. Perhaps some one had a Wizard and now using the Herald and can compare both now ? Thank you in advance.

I really enjoy my phone. It works perfectly for everything that I need it to work for.

As far as WM6 there is no ROM that I am aware of yet. But O2 is releasing this phone with WM6 on it so it will only be a matter of time.

What about e-book reading? I've heard that there is a problem with back-light levels. First, that it is not possible to turn it off completely and then that the first level is far too dark and the second far too bright.

I haven't used it for ebooks yet.

Thats true that you are not able to completly turn off the backlight, but I don't see why you would even need to do this?

In a dark room at the lowest level I can see screen just fine, the next level is a little brighter. To some people this might matter quite a bit but to me so far I havn't been bothered by it.

One thing that bugs me sometimes is the blue LED that flashes when Bluetooth is turned on, it's really really bright. If I am in a room with no lights and look directly at it when it flashes it hurts.

I am thinking about putting together a video of this phone. Might take me a couple days but do you guys think that it would be beneficial to the community?

The wifi works just fine. I can't test the EDGE for you cause we do not have edge coverage here in holland. I'm using my wifi in combination with the opera browser, works smooth, this page was loaded in 5 seconds.

Performance is very good! I had a Magician with 400Mhz CPU, but the Herald responds much faster. All my programs works at the same speed, no problems. TomTom works great. Wonderful device, best buy ever! It works very comfortable!

What TomTom version are you using and are you using it for just maps. AFAIK no GPS. Correct?
