Help please guys...
I am recovering from uploading a ROM not intended for my MDA Compact II. I have managed to get it to boot while plugged into the mains but it won't work off the battery (that works!).
I have a bluetooth Activesync connection to my laptop but when I try to replace the ROM using the T-Mobile update version it says that the battery on my phone is under 50%.
Is there a way to force the update? Link to thread will be fine.
Thanks
Andy
P.S. UK version of ROM.

OK, so I've found the awizard utility and have read up and extracted the nbf into it's parts. I need some help getting the parts through nb2nbf (i.e. memory addresses?) so I have some good files to push onto the MDA.
Can someone provide a little help, the phone is now working when plugged into the mains but it doesn't charge the battery so I can't get it over 50% to allow a normal shipped ROM install.

i had once a Wizard that wouldn't pass boot and wouldn't charge. After a few unsuccessful rom installations the battery almost died and i could not proceed. So i turned the phone off and it started charging :D I guess that while in bootloader the charging circuit wasn't accessible but when in "play dead" state it would work.
good luck

No joy, green light comes up with the phone off but when booted up it reports the battery as being dead. It still doesn't work off the wall charger either.
Any ideas to cheat the phone into thinking it's charged to fix the problem?

if you perform the rom update package while the phone is in the bootloader it will bypass the battery check but you can only do this over a usb connection.

the problem is when the battery check is bypassed but there isn't enough power to complete the setup :p

I have an XDA Orbit coming next week as my work phone. Is it going to use the same battery?
If so then I should be able to get bootloader will using a charged battery from the XDA, or my phones battery charged in the XDA, so that would be good news :D
If not I still need to find a way to charge the battery. Best bet is another MDA II user I suppose.
HI,
I have the same probem that you had, did you find a by pass or fix for the battery problem ?
Thanks
