I ran the vanilla rom and at 5% there was a power cut.

now my hermes (branded orange m3100) is stuck with a partial flash and when I re run the rom it fails.

would the sdcard work around work or shall I just have a nice new paperweigt?

many thanks in advance

I guess you've got power back now - so use some of it to read the WIKI - and Dead Hermes thread. All the answers are there.

Yup first thing post all the details in the bricked hermes sticky thread at the top. Be nice and use the same template as the second post on the first page to give us all your info. To get this info, check especially http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_UpgradeProblems and http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_Unbrick .
These should answer most of your questions. If you still have KITL on your device, then it won't be a brick for long. If you have bootloader 1.04 or one of Olipro's bootloader, then it won't be a brick for more than one hour.
Take heart, it's probably recoverable one way or another. Read the threads I pointed you to, and then if unsuccessful try the bricked hermes thread.

Good luck

Reflash OS again and you'll be fine.

Next time use the sticky thread, there's no point on opening a new thread for that. Closing this one.
