Please excuse my ignorance, as I have not yet tried to upgrade my O2 xda mini s, but I am looking into it.
I have a G4 version, and would like to upgrade to wm6.
Will this work with a G4?
If so, are there any steps I should take to ensure I don't end up holding a brick?
Is it really worth upgrading to wm6, or is it just 'the done thing'?
Like I say please excuse my ignorance.
Thanks.

If you are able to turn off your wlan-router or dsl-modem for 1 minute and then turn it on again (a new ip-adress will be generated), it might help you to bypass the 127 minutes. for me, it works fine...

Except for the CommManager bug, this is a nice ROM! This is the first LVSW ROM I've used so I don't know if it's normal on LVSW ROMs or the it's new OS revision, but the MIDI engine appears to be improved. It seems to support more instruments than WM5 and Black 1.2.
EDIT: After further experimentation, it looks like some MIDIs play better, but others play a lot worse. Strange.

Get same error as dodadent.
Have .net framework v2.0 installed. But same error.
Am trying to download v3.0 but can only reach 38Mb of 54Mb from Microsoft.
Is there somewhere else I can download .net framework v3.0 as I would very much like to install and test this new rom.
Have installed previous roms but never had this problem of having to install .net so why the change?
Also can I just extract the OS and install via mtty using bootloader 1.01MFG.
Keep up the great work.

Thanks 4 all the excellent work guys especially LVSW, am currently using the 20-3-2007 Rom. LVSW, have noticed that your new Rom doesn't contain the landscape/portrait toggle application . Which is in the applet window of the previous Rom. Any chance of getting this as a cab file. Many thanks, and please keep up the good work.

Hello?!?!
Is this issue solvable? Bootscreen and background of the OS are white.
I flashed different roms on the hermes, but still the same problem.
Whats that?
PLEASE help.
I need my hermes tomorrow in work :(
Just a suggestion, don't make demands on a voluteer forum. If someone knows how to solve the problem, someone will post a fix.
Anyhow, a soft reset didn't work for you. Try powering down completely and see if that helps.

CommManager fix:
View ALL files
Copy \Windows\CommManager.lnk to \Windows\AppButtons\
Rename \Windows\AppButtons\CommManager.lnk to \Windows\AppButtons\Comm Manager.lnk
should work.. (notice the SPACE in the name!) there is a better fix, but, this one is easier :)
Not working for me... Also in CP, Buttons, the button is not assigned & I cannot select it from the list, any ideas? Or anyone know where I can find these button assignement in the reg?

Is there anyway to run the RUU from a storage card?

I have 1.13.oli installed on my phone and when I upgraded I used 1.11 and ticked the hard box - worked fine and I THINK that's what you're supposed to do. I suspect when Oli comes out with a new version, he'll list it as 1.11/1.13 (just my guess) but that worked fine for me

I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure you'll be safe if you use force sspl as it will use the Des 1.09. The only issue with that (assuming that I'm not as stupid as I think I am) is it will take longer during the Radio upgrade portion then it would if you had 1.13.oli installed. If you wish to save some time during install, you might consider upgrading to 1.13.oli first :)

OK, this is getting bad...
On flashing, both the full update and the OS only one, i'm getting the white screen on boot, no background and white screen in WM^ loaded up as well... Seems a LOT of people are now experiencing this issue??
However seems like their hasnt been an official word or fix from the Chefs though...
However, i get this flashing the Black 1.2, the 20/3 LSVW and this latest one. However if i flash the 15/3 LSVW it works perfectly...
Could this be an ATI dll problem??
Is it possible for this to be addressed? myself and obviously a few others are very concernced now.

So far so good. I was able to fix the CommManager issue with the copying of the file.
How do I enable the screen layout and File Explorer icons in the system tray like the 03-20-2005 version did? Is there a registry hack that I can use?

Just tried to install OS Only from 3/20 update...got a white screen on that, ignored it..went to install 3/25 update OS only and still have a white screen...even after soft reset.
I'll try downloading and installing an older full LVSW ROM update and then upgrading it complete with the new 3/25 full ROM update as well...I'll see if I get the white screen again...
I just tried to take a shortcut because doing an OS only update is alot shorter than upgrading the radio and everything else...considering I already use the same ones.
There should be some sort of fix to this as downgrading and reupgrading can get pretty tedious. This is a great release to those following the LVSW ROM series, but I guess to someone trying it for the first time it can be a real headache...
**EDIT**
I have it running and I try to go to Today under Settings to try to temporarily put a new background picture as a temporary "fix" to the white screen, but it would not save the settings.
Also, running HTCTweakUI leads to an unexpected error:

My point isnt that im a noob. Its that this update, and some others are screwing up the install and messing with peoples hardware.
I am entirely happy to take the rsik, and am VERY far from a noob when flashing and programming is concerned. I'm pointing out there is something wrong, and it needs to be fixed.
The only resolution for me, was to flash SPL 1.01MFG, then Radio 1.27, then an AKU2.3 rom. Then flash LSVW latest OS only using MTTY., then rom, then back to 1.13 oli boot.
Now, they all work together, i think the issue is in the boot->OS flashing. As when using MTTY to flash back to 1.01MFG, it told me (even though i was just in it) that no OS existed.
I've fixed the issue and its all working perfect for me now, there are plenty of people using this that simply wouldnt do/know how to do what i did to overcome the issue...

I'm offering 1-on-1 service. Specific to that situation. I can fix it in general, but, I can also do it where I'm fixing THEIR problem. I'm not cashing in, I'm offering an alternative. If you've wasted enough time, and can't figure it out, I'm a Skype call away.
Most issues are EASY to solve; this white screen thing is also easy to fix if you know what you're doing. There's only so many ways you can cause that type of issue... Bad radio/radio BL flash might be one, bad blocks another, bad BL flash a third. You can probably fix it easier by cooking a rom specific to the situation; something that I'll do if you pay me. Double click, install the proper cooked rom for the situation, voila, fixed.
I'm not evil because I want to do 1-on-1 for a fee. I can't afford to do 1-on-1 sessions for free now, can I? I'm selling my TIME, KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS... Nothing else.

- NEW IPL (1.01)

- NEW GSM (1.38.00.10)
but my phone is set IPL 1.01 and the SPL is the MFG SPL-1.01
so i have a question if i run the rom upgrade, it will change my IPL and SPL to the 1.13.oli?
or the 1.13.oli can flash only OS or extrom like the MFG spl?

I agree. And charging for your time is fine. For those that want to pay for it. I see no problem with that, however, as this is for a public release ROM, made by developers, mentioning a fault and being told to pay you to fix and saying im doing it wrong as well as others, doesnt excatly help myself, others, the developers in any way.
If i did something, i KNEW i'd screwed up (hard to screw up a double click) than i would happily pay for yours, or someones time to repair/help/talk me through it.
However, as "I" havent made a mistake and its either a bad flash (which happened 4 times with all copies available ATM) or my device being corrupted (but others as well blows that theory out) it leaves the release to be the one with a fault.
As it seems from the post above its an EXE file fault, i'll try download another one again. Hopefully that will fix it.

I made the changes suggested by Legolas to get teh button working, and it does work...but does anyone happen to knwo where inteh registry this needs to be changed to "clean it up"?
Edit: Well it looks like i jsut didnt understand what was happenig :( ...adding the link as descibed by Legolas DOES in fact end up causing the reg entry to get updated correctly (or it may have always been correct)...either way. the Link copy and rename is the solution I'm stickign with.

When The Original Kitchens Came Out When You Edited The Initflash.dat Without Removing The First Two Bytes You Would Be Stuck With A White Screen, And Just A Toolbar At The Top. To Get Out Of This Just Flash A Good OS.nb File On To Your Device And It Should Go Back To Normal.
To Anyone Stuck On The TriColour Screen, I'd Recommend Trying To Flash Your Device With A Good Rom Using The SD Card Method.

Have to point out that the white screen issue isnt just with this rom version either, I have just flashed the black v1.2 rom and i have the exact same issue, i may be fairly new at this, but i can guarantee you i havent done anything out of the norm in terms of flashing the upgrade. There clearly is an issue with the latest batch of roms being released, there are atleast half a dozen to a dozen ppl with this problem (that have mentioned it) across this thread and the black v1.2 thread.
Flame me, put me down, do as you will, but its clearly an issue....lets figure out how to resolve this issue in a more practical approach rather than flashing numerous times, instead of getting each others backs up,
Neil.

Update: tried reflashing everything and I'm still stuck with White Screens after soft resets...
Even when I downgrade to an older version of LVSW, I get white screens on that too now...Something is definitely up...
I'm glad everyone here is being dramatic about this guy charging people to talk to him on the phone...but everyone has a hustle...You don't like it, fuck it.
Now, will anyone actually care to read my posts on why I don't get LVSW running without the white screen or do I have too few posts to even know what I'm talking about according to your standards?

I think the white screen issue was being blamed on some possibly bad .exe files. Legolas just mentioned that the one he posted works. Perhaps one last flash with that one might be worth it... maybe.

Ah right, thanks for that, its getting a little confusing around here, is Legolas talking about black v1.2 or LVSW 25.3.7?
I did the black v1.2 flash, got the white screen, couldnt resolve it, just flashed the LSVW one, same issue

Uh, well, considering this is the LVSW thread, and I posted a LVSW ROM (not a Black ROM), it's a good bet that I'm talking about the newest LVSW ROM... I think it's around post 30 or so that I posted the link to my ROM.

Yes, let's stick to the topic on hand and be adults with our toys ;) . Anyhow, what I'm thinking (which isn't too helpful), but we may have to wait for LVSW to pop in and shed some light on his project. Not to put the burden on him, but the chef may know best!

Steps:
1. USE XP ONLY! Vista does NOT work with the RUU--you will need to find the how-to for that elsewhere!
2. Connect phone via. ACTIVESYNC
3. Run RUU, choose 'Force SSPL', that way you can't mess up the bootloader choice, even if you wanted to.
4. Watch a successful flash happen.
5. Quit bitching at me because you can't read directions!

Hi,
I think you misunderstood what we're trying to say.
I have flash your ROM many time as the steps you indicated, but we still have whitescreen. I have try other version of ROMs and still regardless what version of ROM I used. That also included the old LVSW and BLACK edition.

And yet again, you clearly show everyone why
1. Your not worth $0.01c per minute for your useless help
2. You have no idea what your talking about
3. your a tool.
For those that have done exactly like Mr $2.50 has said and STILL have this issue, much like i did myself, the only way so far with my day of testing to get it to work is:
1. Download the FULL update from LVSW's first post.
2. Use NBHextract to rip the NBH file into seperate files.
3. Flash SPL-1.01MFG to your device
4. Flash OS.nb to device.
5. Enjoy a non white version of this great rom.
** Note to LVSW and other chefs reading. It appears there is some errors occuring when using the 1.13SPL and the latest RUU flash util and the latest roms. The information being flashed doesnt appear to be going where it should be on the rom and is causing this White screen. It is a bug.
I've repacked LVSW's latests rom, with an earlier RUU util and the force SSPL option only and works perfectly. Its something wrong with the newest combo of files and utils causing an issue.

OK oh great wise one. Lets see... I'll repeat myself as your ignorance seems to mean you also can't read whats written.
I AND OTHERS DID READ, FOLLOW DIRECTIONS AND DO EXACTLY AS WE WERE SUPPOSED TO DO.
I've flashed now close to 30 times in the last 3 weeks. Ihave been flashing PDA's, phones etc for years. I KNOW what im doing.
I along with others followed you directions (however crap and obvious they were) to the letter. Still had a white screen.
What i have said ALL along is that theres clearly a fault somewhere, and theres a reason for it, and theres a reason its happening to what appears to be man more people getting the same issues, which they NEVER had when flashing previous WM6 roms.
Why, when i double click the 15/3 rom, it installs perfectly. Do the same for this one, it gives white sceen. Everything is done exactly the same. So there is SOMETHING wrong with either:
A: the package
B: the Bootloader
C: The ROM
D: a combo of different things
E: Hardware being ever so slightly different
F: a compatability with certain things, like ROM/RADIO/IPL/SPL
G: No other ideas...
Get over yourself. Microsoft test stuff ALL the time, on an infinatly larger scale than maybe 10-20 top members doing it. They still have a multitude of errors due to unforseen problems still. As do linux distros, and anything else software based.
I have explained in detail in my posts, which in your ignorance you've chosen not to read, exactly what i did, hardware, how and whats going wrong. I've also posted the only 100 % confirmed working resolution that works at this moment in time. So whos helping who.
I apologise for rubbng you up the wrong way obviously, and also apologise for the insults in retaliation. Getting this on track and this problem narowed down and fixed is far more productive than the botch fest we have going now.
So, in case my info was missed, what information do you, and any others need from me, and other users to help narrow down a potential problem (possible suggesting that we have done everything right as i know i have) and still have this issue.

Like i said, you didnt help me, i helped myself and have narrowed the problem down to a combo of the SPL/SSPL/RUU3.5 and the rom. However, its obviously not an "ALWAYS" problem, so it would be good working on a cure so no one has it rather than burying our heads saying there isnt an issue.
To all chefs, you releases and ROMS are all very much appreciated, and i understand your frustration with the amount of complete noob problems. However, sometimes low and behold there are issues, and sometimes its easier to work on fixing them than bitching, hence my apology and desire to fix it.

Yeah, because i have been experiencing the exact same issues. Thats how i "know" how to fix it. Mind you its the older school way of fixing it and shouldnt need to be done this way.
Im working on a repack i'll upload that will fix the issue i hope. Its currently working on mine, but without finding out from others with white screens i won't 100% know.
Also, to add confusion to the matter. This is the results of the following
DOPOD 838 PRO - HERM100
15/3 LVSW Pro - Flases perfectly
20/3 LVSW ROM - White screen from update RUU
25/3 LVSW ROM - White screen from update RUU

Black 1.2 (original) - Flashes perfectly
DOPOD 838 PRO - HERM200

20/3 LVSW ROM - Flases perfectly
25/3 LVSW ROM - Flases perfectly
Black 1.2 (with 1.13SPL) - Flases perfectly
Black 1.2 (original) - Flashes perfectly
I-MATE JASJAM - HERM100
15/3 LVSW Pro - Flases perfectly
20/3 LVSW ROM - Flases perfectly
25/3 LVSW ROM - White Screen after RUU update
Black 1.2 (with 1.13SPL) - White Screen after RUU update
Black 1.2 (original) - Flashes perfectly
However, all flash perfectly when using MTTY and the OS.nb...

Not quite sure what you mean by this, I was running LSVW 15-03-07 since it came out, sitting back reading all the posts on the new ROMS, had a few problems with my Hermes running a bit suggish, so decided to take the plunge and update my ROM to black v1.2 and ended up with the white screen issue, what could i have done differently to anyone else that might have caused this?
Thanks in advance,
Neil.

OK... all people with the White Screen issue
open an mtty session and issue a Task 28 (this will hardreset your device)
and then a task 8...
Edit... apologies... many thanks to LegolasTheElf for the fix!!!

Ok I'm fairly new to MTTY as well as flashing, tho I did do alot of reading before I flashed my device.
Is having SPL-1.13.Oli equivalent to having your device SUPERCID? Wasn't sure so I went ahead and did the whole POF Unlocker v3...but didn't notice a difference in my bootloader as it still reads:
---------
HERM100
IPL-1.00
HERM100
SPL-1.13.Oli
---------
Anyway when I tried to run MTTY...the USB is not recognized...all I see is COM2 defaulted and theres no device on that...on the dropdown all I see is COM3, which I don't believe is my device.
If anyone has MSN or AIM I would love to talk with someone LIVE...please send me a PM if you're interested in helping my case at this hour.
**EDIT**
Forget it, I'm going to reflash and try SPL-1.30.Oli with the ROM.
**EDIT 2**
But if someone is willing to help me with getting MTTY to sync with my device, feel free to PM ^_^

you and others with the white screen problem is almost a comparison to mine and others wifi not working after a wm6 upgrade. Some people experience it, some dont, and still it remains a mystery how it happened when the procedures of flashing remained the same ffrom every other flash i have done! So dont wreck your brain too much, it just one of those glitches in technology i guess!

Glad to see that a those of you having issues are finding a solution.. I have been up all night tweaking this new ROM and I have to say that so far it is the fastest, most stable WM6 I have had.. Good stuff..
I saw a few of you saying your new to MTTY. I have become very familiar with it being on a vista machine so I thought I would post to threads that really helped me..
First is for those of you who might just like a walk through for the whole process..

Second is for those on Vista PCs or those of you having problems with USB..

I've only ever got it working with XP (haven't tried very hard on vista though - I have XP in dual boot so it wasn't a big deal) but a couple things to check if you're using XP - First right click on the icon and in the options disable USB connection and also make make sure you're in BL mode when before loading MTTY - then you should see the usb option in the drop down

Can someone just make a OS only version?? I think it might be the nre mtty and 1.13oli having issue. not sure yet.

Black 1.2 (with 1.13SPL) - White screen from update RUU
Black 1.2 (original) - Flashes perfectly
DOPOD 838 PRO - HERM200
15/3 LVSW Pro - Flases perfectly
20/3 LVSW ROM - Flases perfectly
25/3 LVSW ROM - Flases perfectly
Black 1.2 (with 1.13SPL) - Flases perfectly
Black 1.2 (original) - Flashes perfectly
I-MATE JASJAM - HERM100
15/3 LVSW Pro - Flases perfectly
20/3 LVSW ROM - Flases perfectly
25/3 LVSW ROM - White Screen after RUU update
Black 1.2 (with 1.13SPL) - White Screen after RUU update
Black 1.2 (original) - Flashes perfectly
However, all flash perfectly when using MTTY and the OS.nb...
Theres clearly something wrong. All tested same machine, same files, everything identical just different hardware.
I originally flash LegolasTheElf version using 1.13.oli and RUU and it worked flawlessly and have just reflashed using 1.13.oli and RUU using the original version just to check verify for other people. LegolasTheElf were identical to the process I used - didn't follow them but it is the exact flashing method I used and can verify it worked perfectly for me. For the record I do have a HTC TyTN Herm200. I can't imagine why but looking at your result I am wondering if it's a Herm100 issue? Maybe people with white screens should post their hardware version?
Also was wondering if people maybe have bad blocks and somehow flashing over them is causing the errors? Maybe if you're having the white screen, check for bad blocks and repair them and then try reflashing?
I'm no expert but it would seem logical enough that could cause a problem and is worth checking out.

If memory serves, LegolasTheElf version is os only. Also, 1.13.oli is no longer the newest version, as of today, it is 1.30.oli - if you download and install that first, then even if you flash the version with 1.13.oli embeded, it will remain 1.30.oli

Its strange, as its the welcomehead.96.png file that doesnt obviously display, but also the background image of the theme as well, so im wondering if its a section of the rom thats not flashing right, or possibly due to previous flashes etc being done, anything resdidual (shouldnt be) is left causing the issue.
I've just spent time creating a RUU 3.5 updater with the OS, SPL 1.30Oli and radio 1.38.0.10 and it flashed with white screen. I then lodaed the OS in to Rom Koch, removed the welcomehead.96.png file, replaced it with the same one, compile then used in the same flash, and it flashed perfectly fine, with no white screen.
Its buggng me as i don't want to have to mess around each update to get them, but also to help others. I enjoyed the double click update easyness of previous roms and im wondering if these new ones could possibly be in the compiling in the rom maker?? Maybe it effects certain hardware revisions??
Anyway, mostly speculation as i don't have the talents to investigate more, other than trial and error things like im doing. Im lucky to have 3 Hermes devices here to test on. So far the Dopod 838Pro HERM200 has flashed everything perfectly fine. The Dopod 838Pro HERM100 has the most white screen fails, and the JasJam inbetween.

I donno - it's very strange, from everything I've read the hardware is identical between the versions, that it's only the casing that's changed which makes it hard for me to think it's a Herm100 vs Herm200 thing. Maybe it's board revision issue? Older or newer boards (slight changes to the nand memory?) It's interesting that deleting re-adding that file makes a differnce for you - did it then work on all 3 of your phones? If so, maybe you should post that file (and maybe people can then try that on their phones.) It could be something as small as a tiny corruption to one vital bit and when dealing with it, one phone decides it's a 1 and the other a 0 - or maybe it's Microsoft leaking the file to us with an intentional bug to make us fight :) hahahaha - who knows.

Ok I got MTTY recognizing my device...loaded 1.01 MFG BL...
Now I'm FLASHING the OS.nb file...but its taking quite some time now...
After I type:
lnb 06_OS.nb
I get:

:F=06_OS.nb
:A=501A0000
:O=00000000
:L=FFFFFFFF
start NB image download | // the | is the blinking cursor
------------------------
Its been like that for a bit and I'm not sure if its doing anything...
Was I supposed to rename 06_OS.nb to OS.nb? Also if something happens to my device now: Will I be bricked?

The file name and the command should be the same so if the name of the files is OS.nb the command should be lnb OS.nb - if the file name os 06_OS.nb the command should be lnb 06_OS.nb. Also, it should be in the same folder as mtty. As it flashes, it will throw characters up on the screen and fill quite a few rows on the screen and you'll know when it's done :)

Did you loaded Olipro's spl v1.11, 1.13 or 1.30 (I think he had an earlier version too?) if so you should be able to load a full rom update. Also, you can try flashing from your storage card - all methods are outlined on this site

Well i did something today which I rarely do and updated my rom right after it came out. Luckily I didn't have any problems. Typically I wait 2 or 3 days and make sure that no big problems exist. You might be smart giving it a few until this whitescreen issue get's worked out.

OK,
I'm giving in for now. Now the JasJam is suffering white screen with any RUU updated OS. Fine with MTTY.
The HERM100 dopod seems to actually be working. I re-downloaded the file LVSW has on the first page (which i'd previously downloaded) and flash a whole ROM update using RUU. this time it worked perfectly.
the HERM200 Dopod 838Pro however has now had its first white screen flash using that same sownloaded file. I then reflashed it and it worked fine...
Im buggered if i can figure this out with my knowledge (not beng able to debug)
The re-compiled OS.nb i did (remove/add welcomhead.96.png file) worked on all three but has now had a white screen flash on the HERM100 dopod 838Pro.
Im now thinking its a more serious issue regarding "where" its being flashed to in the NAND and sometimes its slightly off, but i dont think thats possible. Im also wondering if it could be the added storage edit thats been done. I hadnt thought about it but i didnt see a mention (nor can see after a search) people with white screens pre storage edited roms.
Now they are having the storage increased due to edited IMFGS im wondering if thats somehow altering the flashing area. Maybe its not permanant and maybe it doesnt always happen. or even is a combo of what was there before, whast being flashed, files etc etc etc... too much speculation on my mind, not enough tech knowledge to diagnose.

Read the last two pages for a temporary fix on this issue...
Its seeming to becoming far more widespread the more people that flash...
MODS - personally i woud consider removing or limiting access to this and other effected roms untl the issue is found and resolved.

You know I was just wondering to myself if it maybe had something to do with the increased space myself. I also wonder if there's any connection between what you had on the phone before though I doubt it. I know my recent upgrade path goes WMXL 2.0 -> WMVI Black 1.2 -> LVSW 03-20 (full) -> Upgraded to SPL 1.11.oli -> 1.13.oli -> Radio 1.38.10 -> 1.30.oli -> LVSW 03-25 (OS Only) -> LVSW (Full).
I guess I'm wondering if with the added space there's something residual sitting there from the old rom that's fouling things up. If this is so, I myself would trying flashing LVSW 03-20 (full) (does this rom have increased memory space? If so I'd add going back to a rom which doesn't first), SPL 1.30.oli, and Radio 1.38.10 - check to see if everything is working correctly, if so, I'd then try flashing the LVSW 03-25 (I don't suppose it matters which version as people seem to have issues with both). I know at least that upgrade path worked for me. I realize it's a lot of (probably needless) work but I know when I'm in a situation like that, I like to try going back to a known state and working my way forward. As I said, I have no reason to think this will make any difference but (assuming you don't botch the flash) it can't hurt

Wow.. with the random bricking half the people are talking about and the other denying the issue and refusing to help.. Thanks for releasing it and thanks to the few like mxlaser for helping work out the problem.. but .. sorry guys but you've scared the hell out of this guinea pig.. Not jumping on this one...
Don't get it wrong they're not BRICKS...they're just graphically challenged. Haha.
As far as my mtty attempt, the OS flash just hung when I attempted it...no damage...but no success either. However I did flash down to SPL-1.01 MFG successfully.
I should reattempt to flash the OS I assume...but part of me thinks this will not remove the black screen.
I'm almost tempted to just flash back to my shipped ROM after flashing back to SPL-1.04...but even then, I think I'll get a white screen on that considering I was running WMBE v1.2 fine until I decided to try LVSW...trying to revert back to WMBE resulted in a white screen. A possibility could be the 1.13 Oli and some sort of incompatibity...but my knowledge is still limited when it comes to this stuff.

OK...the SD card flashing doesn't work...the phone didn't show that screen as per described in wiki and I tried almost 10 times...I am still having the bootloader screen and going no where...please help!!!
Just to be clear, you've taken the full LVSW NBH file (not the OS only version but the full one), renamed it to HERMING.nbh and placed it on the root of your storage card and booted into bootloader?
And since you say you already had SPL 1.13.oli on the phone, you have tried running the full installer a second time (1.13.oli should allow you just to reflash even if you screw it up.) If that doesn't work, I'd start searching the forums for something called KITL. I'm not sure the process, I have never had to use it but if memory servers, 1.13.oli is one of the SPL's that has KITL enabled and can help you get going again. Beyond that, you will have to wait till somebody smarter then me shows up!

Did you try loading the rom after loading 1.01 through MTTY?

I actually tried to flash it with the full installer...but the installer couldn't recognize the jasjam and told me to reconnect it with the usb cable. :(
Anyway, thanks for your help and I will give the KITL a go...

Donno - if you're really desprate to use this rom, you might try the upgrade path I posted earlier but as I said, I think it's a shot in the dark. Hopefully in the morning, the smart people will come out with some better ideas :)

Has anybody tried jumping back to a WM5 rom and seeing if this clears up the snow then trying back to one of these if it works?

I did a full official dopod rom update, then tried the latest LSVW one. same white screen.
Rinse and repeat but this time with older RUU util and OS only, worked perfectly.
Im convinced it has something to do with the NAND and the smaller image/larger storage space hack now more than ever.
I took the 15/3 LVSW rom, and ram it through the storage patch.
Flash Dopod HERM100 - White screen (where before this was my saving rom it seemed and 100% worked every time)
Flash JasJam HERM100 - Worked perfectly
Flash Dopod HERM200 - White screen (where before this was my saving rom it seemed and 100% worked every time)
Obviously more and more people are downloading this and trying it out and its now appearing that the original couple "doing it wrong" where actually right and are experiencing a common issue now.

Which Rom are you using, the one at the start of this thread or older?

Im currently running the LVSW 25/3 (the one on first page of this thread)
However, only can run it on two devices using MTTY, other one works perfectly with the normal download.

Not desperate to run this rom as much as getting my phone looking NORMAL.
I got lazy and decided to wait. I didn't sleep and now I feel like shit so I'm going to have to call out of work.

For all the "IWSAU" (Imaginary White Screen After Update) users, i've created a thread about the white screen issue hehere (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299644).
Hope we can all work this out, and now leave this thread to develop for issues other than this one.
Thanks to all thats helped.... And also Elf as well... Sorry to of been an arse.
