Hi All, Thank You for such an informative and helpful forum.
Does anyone know if there is a case available for the Ameo that incorporates a belt clip?
Many Thanks

I think you won't put that device unto your belt. Coz it will heavy and to big

I would rather have it on a belt clip than get it squashed in my pocket :)

Me too. The Ameo is costing me a fortune... 4gb Mini SD, leather case, spare battery, 4 in 1 USB cable.... and the docking cradle will be £70 when Expansys get them in stock.
Sigh.

I wish I could. I've been looking, but they just don't seem to exist, yet. I do hope when one is made, it is made WELL, because I sure would hate for it to fall off of me, which I've had happen with previous phones from time to time. If I find something, Ill definetaly post it here.

I been searching for a belt pouch for my new toy like all you guys, going through all the IT mails, phone accessories shop, shopping mail, backpacks, shoulder bags, sling bags, waist pouch etc and NO luck.
Been trying, taking in & out my phone, and ..... XXXX I droped it on the floor, not too high, but got 2 very small dents by the both sides ....
Finally found this camera shop that carries Lowepro brand, and got lots of camera bag/pouch that able to fit, went throught lots, minus out the zipper kind(hard to access & might scratch the unit), minus out hoz design (too wide), minus out colorful one (not professional look), minus out those bulky one, shortlisted 2 model that fit Dopod U1000 well (top load vertical design), velcro flap, both black and professional enough to wear with pants (i think ?)
U1000 size, 9.5 x 2.2 x 13.4 cm
D-Pods 50, size (Interior): 8.5 x 5.5 x 14 cm, stretch fabric, snug fit, hard to take out as the width is a bit tight (stretched), I like this coz the material (got protection), http://www.lowepro.com/Products/Camera_Pou.../D-Pods_50.aspx
SlipLock™ Pouch 20, size (Interior): 9 x 4.5 x 14 cm, this fit nicely, easy to take out, but less protection, http://www.lowepro.com/Products/Accessorie...M_Pouch_20.aspx
Both of them got space to put your BT or wallet, but the SlipLock™ Pouch 20 is thiner, so finally bought the SlipLock™ Pouch 20, retails S$30, but can get cheaper.

I have found the cheapest holder to hold/carry the Dopod U1000. Went to a seminar recently, and as usual, they will give out badges & landyard for the registered guest.
Guess what, it fit the Dopod tightly and nicely, can even click on the screen with the plastic cover.
You can find such landyard with holder in most stationery shop

I use an original case for the T-Mobile 6315. It's old PDA that I used to have.
Similar cases for the 6315 fit the HTC Advantage

That PD Air clip looks perfect (although no belt clip!) Looks like the case won't get scratched by the keyboard which is a big improvement on the original, plus it has a latch on it!

Yes, it is a nice case. No chance of scratching anything.
It does bulk it up though, but I can live with that to keep the unit pristine.

Did PDair finally came out with a case that has a clip? Check it out here:
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/13314.htm
In the description it reads...
"PDair Leather cases feature PDair's custom clip system, allowing their cases to be worn at any angle on the belt, or removed completely."
This tells me that it has a clip. It goes to explain that their cases come with a 360degree clip.

Hello,
for approx. a week I got my new Ameo. And the bad case for it ...
I've searched a bid and found a fine case, with 360° belt clip, almost perfect fit for the Ameo (2 cm to long), and not so expensive. 15 Euro.
The describtion is (in german but ask me if you want an english description) detailed .

Abram,
the device is almost 2 cm to short (in the length) for the case. The width is really fit. That's why the Ameo is really safety in this case.
But I can't provide a link. I was going to "saturn" to see what going on: and coud see this universal case:
internal measure WxHxD : 14,5 x 9 x 2,5 cm
Car HiFi AGM Universal bag for Navigation units & PDAs size : 2
price : 14.99 Euro
Could you search over web or ask direct your provider?
I will see if I could see any additional info's in the description, and come back this evening...

An update on the PDair case:
After a couple of weeks, my keyboard cover is bulging in the centre - I haven't done anything "wrong" with the case, it's been treated carefully and the keyboard is rarely removed - and this makes it even harder to type on.
Unimpressed, especially since the magnetic attachment of the standard case would have been perfectly good.

On!
It really makes little difference if it's on or not - the problem with this particular case is that it's made for the the old compaqs with the "rounded bottom". It works but I'm still looking for something better.

I suspect this case should hold me over until some Advantage specific cases start showing up - which they will due this device's popularity. :)

Just got my x7500 on monday. Had to make a clip that works with the standard case seeing as there are reall no good options. Made of 2 - pcs of 18 ga s.s. Does not hurt. Case and phone are really no heavier than my blue angel. Have pics. Take a look.

But if you pull straight up to use it it comes right off. Very simple. Does not get in the way when you connect to keyboard.

I think that is one of the best home brew solutions for the x7500 I have seen.
Exactly what did you make the part that fits over the case and how did you cut out the slots in it for the belt clip attachment and for the case to slip through?
If I could make a steel loop that the belt fits through instead of the "s" folds I think it would be perfect for me.
Also do you have a picture of just the part that fits on the case. Thanks.

Bloody Brando.
It's a PDair case. They're repeating the PDair blurb, which is itself modified from the blurb for other PDair cases.
THERE IS NO BELT CLIP.
Also that plastic wallet for the keyboard renders it unusable after a month of warping. I ended up cutting mine out so it only covers the edge and one row of keys.
And the keyboard is upside-down because it was photographed by a retard, clearly - they also forgot to remove the warning stickers ;)

OK I got it wrong, the belt clip gave out today after two days use. The case is good, just needs a robust clip system. Now looking for a good clip/button combo that will fit the thread used on this case. Does anyone have a suggestion?I got a pack of replacement clips at a Verizon store for $5. These have lasted since September...

I'm guessing if they have them, other phone stores or vendors may have them. In this case, it was a little baggie with a variety of 2 or 3 clips for $5.
