Dumping features -- Why?

I've been reading quite a bit now, and I notice that some of the ROm upgrades dump features, like Bluetooth keyboard and mouse support. Other than space, why wouldn't we want that?

What are some common features dumped and what are the benefits of doing so (besides the obvious space gain)?

Just curious.

Maybe because only a minority of user use those feature, and in the main time this also allow them yo add newer feature...
