WWE_1.23.405.2_103_6275_1.38.00.11_108_GPS is NOT an Official Europe release

after upgrad to WWE_1.23.405.2_103_6275_1.38.00.11_108_GPS i have having problem with my GPS FIX.

i have tryed everythibg.

SR, HR ... Enything!

still, no luck.

i contact HTC via Mail:

Problem_Description: after ROM update, WWE_1.23.405.2_103_6275_1.38.00.11_108_GPS, i can't get a FIX from the Sat's.

the Navigate software "see"the sat's but can't get any FIX.

i did try SoftReset, HardReset.

what can i do ?

From ACE Hellas the OFFICIAL HTC representative here in Greece i learned that on the 2nd of April we will be able to download the OFFICIAL GPS ENABLED rom from their site, the rom is ROM: 1.23.405.2
Radio: 1.38.00.11
ExtROM: 1.23.405.103
Ελληνικά: 3.3.0
The last bit is the greek customisation,if you see any difference between this and the Belgian rom please let me know because i can't.
By the way which GPS program are you using?

The ROM is officially supported by the importer of HTC devices in the Benelux (Dangaard) and also in the other countries that this importer operates.

They got the rom from HTC as they don't make them theirselves.

Maybe HTC wants you to believe it's not official, but this is not a test rom, it's really an official rom.

Until HTC upgrade their website to allow downloading of firmware, I'm guessing this is as official as we're going to get. :P

1. If it is a non official one... I do not think that we can install it without super CID ?
2. I do not expect that HTC will make 3 French ROMS or more (Belgian, French, Swiss...) :p

The part of that letter you should concentrate on is "have not released". That doesn't mean that it isn't an HTC made official ROM. It is quite official to the region in Belgium and was released by their provider...which isn't HTC, but the ROM is made by HTC and given by them to the provider in Belgium. HTC is not going to admit that there is a new ROM available elsewhere until they offer it on their own web site because people would throw a fit when they would be unable to download it. This thread title is very misleading, the rom is not "home cooked". You should spend some time trouble shooting your device setup, the problems that you are experiencing is not the fault of the rom.

The ROM is only official in the countries where HTC has released it. But they won't make a WWE ROM for each country ;) so this will be released in every country

So do I.
If you check the HTC-europe web site, they say " there are not ANY upgrade to ANY of our products...." HTC will not admit they made them for whatever the legal/technical reasons they may have....
