Enableing IR in Comm Manager?

I was wondering if is't possible to get a ir-button in Comm Manager (or in "settings")? Have searched the forum but haven't been able to find anything. I have the latest official HTC rom.

You can activate and deactivate it in "connexions setting".
I am not sure about the name as my ROM is in French.
It should be something like "Sending" (looks like a target with blue and red circles)
Then the option is activate or not the "receive all data"

Go to settings , beam , Check the box "receive all incoming beams" if you do not check it you will not be able to receive any bluetooth items as well as IR , but you will be saving a bit of power,so just check the box if you want to receive something.
By default the beam receive is enabled.

Thank you for the answers, but I can still not get the NoviiRemote Deluxe v.4.11 to work, is there anybody who has it installed and can tell me how to get it to work? Thanks.

Noviremote works, but you have to be very close to the reciever because the infrared in trinity is low powered (low consumption also).

Use a regdit, goto HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\CommManager

add a new key, call it '8' and make the default value 'IR'

also in HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\CommManager

change the value SupportedFunctions to '9'

(Only the lastest versions support more than 8 buttons but theres no way to tell which version you have. You'll know if it does work as it will tell you off!!)

It's working with new ROM, just don't add new string value, use default instead and only put IR in string wait 15sec and than softreset

i'm running the latest WWE Trinity ROM, made the resgistry change - did not add the new string value - and it worked. i now have an IR/Beam button in the comm settings. what else can be added there? GPS ??

No you can't add the gps in comm manager.

Also i make the ir change in cab. ;)
