I asked the guy at three if x series can work on my dopod 838 pro and he said yes. I switched over to x series and it dose not work. I have now looked at the three site and it says that 838 is not supported. Is there any way to get x series to work with my phone?

I really want the 500mb for $20 so any help would be appreciated.

Heres the solution.

There are three problems if one switches over to x series from a data pack.

1)Data packs are using an access point "3netaccess". This is not the correct access point for xseries. Xseries is using the access point used that normally connects to plannet 3. Most people could just go to the advanced tab of connections and tap select networks then make sure the first box has "3 MMS Settings" selected for internet access. This has an access point of "3services".

2)Most people at 3 do not have a clue. The shop guy just said he activated my x series and it would work in 5 minutes but in actual fact his call only succeeded in putting a block on my current internet access. After being routed around for a while I got a very nice lady who told me that this happens to a lot of change overs. She activated my account and waited for five minutes to make sure it worked.

3)To see the new x series info on planet 3 it may be necessary to change the user agent settings on the device. Change:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Int ernet Settings\5.0\User Agent\(Default) to DopodD810/Mozilla/4.0

Thats it. Now I wish they would support skype for ce so I could get free use of it instead of eating my data. They only support skype on symbian devices.

I bought my wife a Dopod D810 but we are yet to see if there are any out of the box issues with that.

EDIT: What the hell is wrong with this forum. The word "internet" in my above path is typed correctly but when I see it in the post the forum adds a space?
