hello, i really hope someone can help me, iv installed jwrights WM6 and i am on the o2 network, but now i cant get my gprs to work!! cud someone give me some sort of manual installation for setting it up? iv tried ringing o2 but they keep getting it wrong!!!!

HI,
What I use is:
Access point: mobile.o2.co.uk
username: web
password: web
Has worked for me on all my o2 contracts.
CSD line type if needed is v110/transparant.

on the section where u entoer username and password, if you click advanced and then click servers, i know iv got to enter a specific server address, o2 gave me the DNS and alt DNS but i think something needs to be entered in the WINS and alt WINS, when i try to connect it just says connecting and doesnt actually connect!

These were emailed to me by one of the O2 Technical support guys who actually knew what he was talking about lol only a few of them, huh?

iv tried and tried ad its still not working, i just cant get it to connect! under start menu - settings i have a thing called gprs settings, which gives me chioces of PAP or CHAP cud this be causing my problem?

Only if you've changed the default... should be set to PAP.

i had the same problem last week, o2 sent me 3 emails to get wap mobile web and mms working, these settings worked well for me.. as follows.
GPRS WAP
Please note the following:
When entering 'o2' please use the letter 'o'.

Please find the settings below for 'O2 XDA Exec GPRS WAP Pay Monthly Settings':
Please ensure that when entering 'O2' into the settings that the letter 'O' is selected and not a zero.

1. Tap Start
2. Tap Settings
3. Tap the Connections tab
4. Tap the Connections icon
5. Under 'My Work Network' tap 'Manage existing connections'

7. In the 'Enter a name for the connection' field enter 'GPRS WAP'
8. The 'Select a modem:' drop-down box should be set to 'Cellular Line (GPRS, 3G)'
9. Tap 'Next'
10. In the 'Access Point Name' field enter 'wap.o2.co.uk'
11. Tap 'Next'
12. In the 'Username' field enter 'o2wap'
13. In the 'Password' field enter 'password'
14. Leave the Domain field blank
15. Tap 'Advanced'
16. In the 'TCP/IP' tab ensure 'Use server-assigned IP address' is selected
17. Tap the 'Servers' tab
18. Ensure the 'Use server-assigned address is selected
19. Tap 'OK' in the top right corner
20. Tap 'Finish'
21. Tap 'Proxy Settings' tab
22. Ensure that 'This network connects to the Internet' box is ticked
23. Ensure that 'This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet' box is ticked
24. Tap 'Advanced'
25. Tap the 'WAP' option
26. In the 'Server' field enter '193.113.200.195'
27. In the 'Port' field enter '9201'
28. Tap 'OK' four times to exit
MOBILE WEB
The GPRS WAP Pay Monthly settings are now complete. However if you are still experiencing any issues using this service, please contact O2 Customer Services.
Please note the following:

please note though, these settings are for pay monthly/contract customers/device users, and anyone using the pay as you go sim cards for any wm device need settings for pay as you go. this is because mobile web isnt provisioned for p&g use and will not work.

hi everbody,
i have got spv m1500 originally on orange uk but i have unlocked it and using with o2. i cant access gprs and cant' receive mms on this phoen i have tried all the solutions given here on site but nothing is woking.
please help me if anybody can.

Welcome to forums
I assume that you already read the Universal Wiki, right?
If already unlocked try doing hard reset or flashing another ROM.
