Hi there,

I found this forum, it seems great !

Just ordered today a HTC 3600. I would like to enable the GPS radio :)

I have read many of the threads posted here, I have some difficulty understand most of the terms. I searched for a glossary or alike in the website with no luck, can anyone give me a quick start?

I know the phone is not SIM locked.
But what is CID and Super CID, how does it affect me?
What is SSPL ?
I ordered the english version, is that WWE?
What is ExtROM ?

One thing at a time mate,
1st starting tomorrow 2/4/2007 you will be able to download a GPS enabled rom from the official HTC europe site (www.htceurope.com) .
2ndWWE stands for World Wide English and its the language your rom is written in ,since your's is English you'l have no problem in installing the GPS rom from HTC and you will have no warranty issues.
3rd SSPL is a program developed by Pof which enables devices to be flashed with a different rom from that which their CID supports.
4th CID is a type of lock which HTC puts on its devices to stop people from changing for instance WWE devices to FRE,English to French.
5th The Sim/Cid lock can be permanently removed by using pofs unlocker but you will lose your warranty .
If i were you i'd either dowload the WWE Gps enabled rom youl find in this link

and run it from my pc after first having charged the PPc battery 100% removed the sim card and synched to my computer using active sync.
Or wait until 2/4/2007 and download the HTC rom from the Htc site both roms are identical,its up to you.

I have just order my Trinity ,and i could pick both english and swedish version ..so i took swedish ,is there any diffrense?

Yes, the English ROM is in English and the Swedish ROM is Swedish.:)

The first poster asked if the WWE ROM is english. WWE stands for World Wide English, thats why!

My device was not on stock, so it will be arriving in two weeks ... :( At least the new ROM should available till then :)
