While you are waiting for crossbow I made a real aku 3.5 rom with GPS ON.
You probably think that the list of changes is not very big, but itsn't so)
Try to flash it once and i think you'll like it;)

This is the only one with the java problem. You can have the LVSW or official HTC rom too. Search....

This is most likely not a aprilfools-joke since mun has been registered for quite some time and been involved very much in rom-work on diff. devices.

It looks like you need to use SSPL to load the rom. There are directions on how to do this...search.

Hmm, could you flash only ext_rom from dopod or htc latest rom?
I think there is a link in your extrom to file that should be in ROM.
But i needn't that file coz my extrom doesn't have such link, so i didn't put it to my rom.

I'm currently flashing my phone with the
HTC English HTC__001 1.23.405.2 1.07.0000 1.38.00.11 rom and I'll try to flash it with the aku3.5 after, hopefully it works.

Look forward to the Resco Keyboard problem (ie you select it as the input device but the keyboard doesn't change to the Resco one. Also it appears that TomTom doesn't lock up anymore (at least for me?)

ATIfix
BT sound quality
Keyboard (additional)
GPS cold boot help
Large storage (possible?)

Tried & this rom broke the Intellipad SIP, won't allow it to function. Since i use this as the primary input method, this rom is no go for me. Otherwise, the rom seems really optimized.

What exactly does the cold start feature for the GPS do? I thought that the trinity could not give the GPS satelite locations, but that is what it sounds like.

I would never try to restore a backup registry from a different ROM, this is asking for trouble.

I would never try to restore a backup registry from a different ROM, this is asking for trouble.

I know that ideally you shouldn't, but it has generally worked perfectly for me. Saves me the hassle of reinstalling apps, or re-entering activation codes.

Still, not a big deal, since this ROM does offer some significant benefits over all the other ROMs, save for the several things that don't work. If these get fixed, this will be hands-down the best ROM currently available, IMO.

O.K., I got Voice Commander to work: it simply was not assigned to Button 1, once I did it, it works fine.

So, the only app that doesn't work for me with this ROM is Map4PDA (http://map4pda.com/), which allows me to access a whole bunch of maps from the likes of Google, Yahoo, etc., including traffic overlays. It relies on NET Compact Framework 2.0 SP1, so I wonder if this is what's causing the problem?

Thanks for this update. Seems a lot faster, and my gps fixes faster as well. The only problem is that I can't get any other sip to work. Have tried both phonepad and tengo/tengo thumb. I can't select it. If I select Tengo I get keyboard.

Seems alot faster and would love to keep it but SPB FullScreenKeyboard will not work so that is the deal breaker for me. PLEASE PLEASE fix the sip function so I can keep using your great rom. :(

fuck, this rom is so fucking AWESOME. Super quick and everything works except


other SIP. Please mun, whenever you can, if you can do a hack or update so we can use custom sip like tengo or phonepad, we trinity users need this for thumb use since trinity has no keyboard. On my hermes with the windows mobile 6 tengo works, I am not sure why on your 3.5 sip isnt working, its very strange, even on fresh hard reset with only tengo installed it doesnt work so its not like a memory issue.

if you can do a cab or registry edit to get it working that would be great so we dont have to hardreset and flash rom again to get it fixed,

I just installed this image but i dont seem to be getting GPS signal.... am i missing something ?

Also, the text color is same as background and so am not able to see anything on the Today screen ... And so the dialer as well ...

Am sorry i didnt understand your question ... I thought this ROM image is supposed to let me use the built-in GPS ? Do i need any other update?

Are you asking if the GPS was working on some other ROM before this one? If so, yeah, i had installed LVSW's ROM image about 2 months back and GPS had worked then. I didnt use it after that and then reflashed this ROM and it doesnt work. I tried the new LVSW's ROM too 07-04-2007 and it still doesnt work .,..

Hm, this tells me that you may not have set your GPS app to look to the right channel, or something like that. Set it to 9 in your application

Do you have the GPS control? If not, do a search here for the registry change you need to make to see it.

Which GPS software are you using?
Also try thu the GPS software settings to manually define com 9 as the GPS port.

I never had this problem ( I mean : files disappeared from the mini SD ) before having installed this ROM ; I'm very happy with it , but now I have to face to this new situation ; it is the second time in few days that I have to reinstall files and or applications ; I have a 4 Gb mini SD and with the test dopod ROM and also with pthe dopop GPS rom ( also after upgrade to 1.38 radio ) I never had this problem...

now I do not know ...is this issue related to this ROM or not ??

note : this mini SD has been formatted FAT32 and everything was ok , but could this problem be related to some strange issue of the card ??

Hi ..
I finally found out what the issue was with my GPS issue .... If you all won't beat me up, i ll tell u all !!! :D

I always tested my GPS signal inside my apartment hoping it would show my current location. Though i stood near the window, i still wouldnt get any signal. I actually live in a concrete high rise in Seattle and that is reason i wasnt getting any GPS lock.

I was just driving outside and tried it out. Its amazing !!!!! Very very accurate and fast !!!! I installed TomTom from HTC website ... its just amazingly accurate !!!

Sorry, installed the .cab on my device and did a softreset but It still doesnt work, It can see my network but not connect.. tried to change some settings for the network card like "My network adapter connect me to work/internet" but

mun, there is a new voicecommand, by cyberion, that you do not have to train the voices and it reads email. Can you include in this rom? If not is there a way we can take out the old cyberion voice command so we can install the new one. I have the cab file for the new one.

Well, the strange thing with the WLAN is that the phone do get connected, and you can ping the phone and everything, but somewhere there must be a setting that tells the phone that it is connected to the WLAN that isn't working as it should...

yes new cyberion dialer is called voice commander, it is 100X better than cyberion voice dialer. It can do as much as Microsoft Voicecommand and it doesnt use as much memory

I have done that exactly, now I have even done a hardreset, installed wlanfix_v2 and rebooted but still no wifi connect... It detects my network and sometimes even get an IP-adress but the icon don't stop animate and I cant surf the net... mun, how do we get bottom taskbar back on and how do we get the comm manager icon in the bottom taskbar? I do not like the today screen icons with commanager as they take up to much space, I used trinityhacks program to get bottom taskbar on but it doesnt show commanager icon in there for some reason only battery icon.

Same here - I could connect both before the WiFI patch and after applying it... connection works fine every time. Using a linksys a/b/g router.... not sure why others cannot connect. I have my performance set to best battery life on the Trinity and have WEP enabled. Weird.

Yes i've managed to run Hebrew support on it with the correct sip.

Don't try this rom on a P3300, it would probably kill it! This ROM is for the HTC P3600 or Trinity only.

Tried both with v2 and v3 still the same on my wlan.... think there is some common problem with both lwsw and .mun veersions of the 3.5 version

Java does work on the SE Rom. I was unable to install opera mini directly from pie because it would revert to the original midlet manager. I was able to install if I downloaded the installation files on my pc and transferred them over to my trinity, then go to builtin esmertec java thats in this rom and search for installation files. The version of esmertec java in the SE rom was dated 4/20/2006. This version didn't allow for the hardware keys to be used as the softkeys, and wouldn't allow to download files. I was able to find a newer version dated 10/13/2006, and used resco explorer to overwrite the older version. This version did allow for the hardware keys to be used, but downloading files still didn't work.

Wifi connect in 3 version, but icon never stop. It seem that try to conect, but if you go to settings - Wireless Lan will see connected net, but in menu - Network Card always appear Connecting, but wlan go as connected...

But can you actually use the connection?

I had the same symptoms, and got excited when Trin picked up IP address, but then found that I couldn't connect to anything else via WiFi.

So I'm back to the official/stable release...

That's really strange, coz some people can connect via lan and someone can't... may be i should look deeply inside the problem. but i think that we should combine all information about situations when we are able to connect and not.

Here WLAN works now ... after problems too:

1) Clean install of 1.25 SE and after that my apps
2) No WLAN nearbye
3) Installed the wifi_fix_v2 + FlashplayerFix + BtFix
4) Came nearbye WLAN
5) Turned on WLAN in CE
6) SSID is been detected
7) Connect (WEP key entered)
8) Only an IP :( and little arrows in the top icon didn't stop moving
9) No response in IE, WLM, etc.
10) Hit the WLAN icon in the top of the screen, no data connection :(
11) After 5 min. hang, even on/off button didn't work
12) soft reset (with stylus)
13) WLAN is still on, it connects and it's still on .... I don't let the device rest.
14) Great WLM signs in, et.c etc.
15) I turn off WLAN (I use only the tray icons of BatteryStatus 1.04)
16) And turned it on again ... it still connects.
17) Turned on and off several times, some reboots between also.
18) BUT .... after 5 min. not using, it hangs and only reset with stylus works. :(
19) Looks like the power savings disturb some things, because sometimes it hangs
20) Other times the little arrows in the top don't stop moving and there 's no data connection. Only solution is then a soft restart.

Power settings: Turn off device in 3 mins on battery power
Backlight turn off after 30 secs on battery power

For the record my apps:

2 bugs = my opinion:
1 you know, it's the default ringtones ...
2 Still problems with TCPMP + video ATI IMAGEON Decoder + XViD + AC3. It's very fast (84,48% with 2,0Mbit/s against without Decoder 48,22% with 1,0Mbit/s), but little blocks everywhere ...

I don't use any ATIfix posted on this board, because it f&cks up the device (hangs on the SD-card) ... at least it did with LVSW 1.24.02. In the thread there was an interesting piece about a atihwtbl0.txt placed in the Windows drectory.

Give us the last 10% mun_rus and make us happy!!! :)

I have the same behaviour of the Wlan of the others... I start it and I see the arrows moving... if I go to Settings->Wireless Lan I can see, in the Advanced menu, that I have a valid IP, and the status is "Connected to the network", but the arrows are moving and, if I go in Setting->Wi-Fi, I see "Connecting".
The only way to connect is to make a soft-reset (by leaving on the Wi-Fi) and, after the system goes on, I will be connected.

second, for those with Wlan problems, the first time i applyed the patch v2 that doesn't work, so i reapplyed it with Wlan turned on, when it was searching. after reboot that works. try it, we never Know.

My wlan is still not working, I tryied several time to install the patch with wlan enabled, sof resetted several time, but nothing to do. Not working

Hello everybody,

Before installing this rom I had a few problems connecting to Wifi, specially at home :mad: , after installing it and try every thing can't connect to any WiFi.

I also had problems with bluetooth, specially with a Nokia headset that after 2 days or less working never connect again. For now I think that problem is fixed (hope for good).

For the problem of WiFi could't this be due to a hardware faillure? Because I also had problems with the Oficial HTC Rom installed...

Hi guys, I'm also having some problem with wifi and bluetooth. The wifi problem I can live with, but I'm having some issues with A2DP.

Usually when I listen to A2DP, I set the bitpool from the default 30 to 40 or 48. This dramatically increases the quality of music to my stereo headphones. However, now even leaving the default setting at 30, I get some high-pitch fuzz (? hard to describe the sound). The music plays fine without any breaks, but the quality of the sound is not very good at all.

Some other observations

- If I set JointStereo to 1, the sound is perfect! No fuzziness at all. Of course, then I only get mono sound. Maybe this suggests a bluetooth bandwidth problem?
- The bluetooth sound is much louder than my stock Dopod ROM. Has there been any tinkering in relation to that? Maybe preamp has been set too high?

The ROM is really great except for the wifi and bluetooth issue. However, since I listen via A2DP everyday, the bluetooth issue is unfortunately a deal-breaker for me. =\

Did you tinker with the bluetooth settings in your new ROM mUn?

My Bluetooth connection is not as quiet/crisp in the new 3.5 stack as it was prior to upgrading... so I concur with your observation RayEarth....

mUn... any chance you know of some Bluetooth tweaks that can help us out here? Another one of your special CAB file fixes for us to test out?

i tried all the wifi fixes, non work, infact I cannot even get wifi to connect to detected access point. When popup screen comes up with the different access points and i hit ok nothing happens, the ap popup screen just continues to show. I tried wifiv1 fix, v2 and v4.

Java seems to work fine here.

I do have trouble connecting to my car through BT, though. It found it a couple of times, but the Trinity wouldn't accept the code. After a restart, it just can't find the car at all.

Wi-fi works well (didn't at first, but after a reboot it started:-)

I do like the ROM a lot, though, so I'll keep it. Hopefully mUn, or someone else who wishes to help, will figure out how to fix the BT issue.

Hello Michael in Greece (you lucky dog!),
Don't try this rom on a P3300, it would probably kill it! This ROM is for the HTC P3600 or Trinity only.

The rom was great even have to install some more fix cab but for the ringtone I cannot use the other else just only have in the rom.. I try to use mp3 as ringtone but there is no any command to use my mp3 as ringtone. and suffer about window live that I lost my contact too

Yes it's great, but a non-english user can't use it neither to call "mama" ;) .
You can easely install the cab file and replace the HW button to launch VC instead of VD.

Why does there have to be any speed dialer at all, everyone can just add the one that they like. Remember, a clean rom is a good rom :) .

I removed all settings of the WLAN connection
Reboot
Installed WLAN fix 4
I've setup my connection again (WEP)
Little arrows still running crazy. Got an IP, but no data connection
Soft reset
Still trouble
Left the WLAN on
Power off by button ....
After power on, it works again .....
I don't know yet if it hangs after a while not using the device.

ADD: I do know now! It still hangs, also with V4 fix.

mun_rus ..... WLAN doesn't work the way AKU 3.3 did, that's for sure.
I think releasing a new ROM isn't the answer, but figure out the issues is.

Yes, of course you are right, it isn't easy for everyone to load a voice dialer. Unfortunately, for the lay person it isn't always easy to uninstall them either. Some roms don't allow you to uninstall them and you have to do it manually in the registry...that's what I'm talkin' about.

I just read in another thread that the new 3.5.2 version is from the Hermes which is more compatible with the Trinity. Apparently this version is already available from LVSW and fixes wifi and many other issues. If you are trying to get wifi working on this rom, then maybe you should just give up and move on. Probably the future release of the mUn 3.52 version will fix wifi too.

I have just finished to install the lvsw rom and wlan works well. Maybe the new mum_rus release will fix the problem.
