OK, then when you release the rom, I'll be sure to drop some feedback as to how well this radio is working. I'll probably give it a go on you "real thing" rom which is what I'm using at the moment. I'm using the 2.61 radio on it for a few weeks and I have not noticed any missed calls or anything, so it might work out.

I can't believe that, especially fishy as it appears at the same time as the German ROM. You've had no problem releasing AKU3 ROMs before they appear so why is radio different?

ANyway, seems to be good so far, no problems with the ROM, using one extracted from German AKU3.3.

Another crap radio rom. Takes too long to recover from lost signal. Only getting 2 bars. Calls sound mumbled.

Well after a day of using it on faria's "real thing" I've had no problems. No missed calls, BT working fine, GPRS working fine, my bars have been full all the time (I haven't really left the area around my house yet so that might change). I didn't ever have the problems associated with the other roms either, so your mileage may vary.

I've missed 3 phone calls today (phone never rang) and didn't get notified of voice mail until 2 hours later. Also missed an SMS message. This is on the X-Plore 1.1 ROM.

Back to T-Mo UK 2.19 I go...

I assume all of you know that the missed call problem is provider specific!? Most of people (me too - I am on T-Mobile Germany) will probably never experience this problem while others will probably have it with all newer versions (later than version 2.19) and maybe all upcoming versions...

I never missed calls on my stock 2.25.11 Cingular Rom with the same 2.25.11 radio in WM5. Is it only WM6 and Cingular that aren't seeming to work well together?

Yep, I never had any missed calls with the stock Cingular ROM and the stock Cingular 2.25 radio. I even upgraded to the 2.61 radio on the Stock Cingular ROM and then Faria's AKU 3.3 and never had any missed calls. But on WM6 (MBE, Faria "the real thing", NotTooSmart Vanilla, and now X-Plore 1.1) I have issues with anything over 2.19 radio (even the Cingular 2.25 radio misses calls and SMS messages when in WM6).

I know there is another thread for this, but since this was brought up as provider specific, just wanted to chime in with my experience.

I would love to try the new german rom, but I do not know german. Hope they release a WWE version. I used it as my base and I just updated the Xplore 1.1 Rom on top to see how that goes. Hoping to have at least better results than I did with the MB rom and the missed calls I had with it.

Been using 2.69.11 since this morning and so far so good. No ill affects. I have noticed that signal strenght is a little less than with 2.61.11 but overall I have not had any complaints of missing calls and voicemail notifications have come through immediatly. Takes a little bit longer to pick up signal from Flight Mode but once it does signal is steady.

Well, I love WM6, but I can't live with the bad reception of 2.19 or the missed calls with 2.25 and up.

So, I had to go back to WM5 :mad:

I'm now running Faria's 3.3 with 2.61.11. Everything is working great!

Faria's "The Real Thing" ROM is for Wizards... if you are thinking about flashing it on your S200, it is NOT recommended. If it's for other uses, you can find it in the Wizard Mobile 6 subforum.

I was using the 2.61...since I upgraded I know I've missed at least 1 voicemail notification..it never showed up even after I called the person and they informed me they had left me a voicemail..called voicemail and sure enough..was there...using superrom 1.1...may have to revert back if that keeps happening...oh and I'm on Tmobile.

So, let me get this straight- you aren't afraid of being sued by Microsoft when releasing cooked WM6 ROMs prior to their release, but you're afraid of T-Mobile suing you for leaking radio software a little early? ;-)

I'm on Faria's WM5 using this radio with SPL/IPL 3.08. Everything works great! Fast GPRS, no missed calls or messages!!

Does this Radio allow you to be connected with GPRS Data and also receive voice calls. I noticed that in other radios it did not allow it to be connected using both so if I was connected with GPRS Data to check emails, I would miss voice calls and it would go straight to voicemail.

With Faria's WM5 3.3 and this Radio ROM while connected to GPRS calls do come through with no problem! Sometimes I leave GPRS on all the time for push email; I never miss a call. But that's with a WM5 ROM not WM6, any radio ROM over 2.19 has major issues with WM6.

Please excuse the noob... Is it true that I can use t-mobile radio, with Cingular? What will the differences be? I was using Battery status and scaled down to 134mhz. This caused me to miss calls. Back to 143mhz. No more missed calls. I have noticed that the phone hangs intermittently. And I also get an Echo. I am currently using Xplorer 1.1 and Cingular 02.25.11. I would really like to try the Faria version, since everything else he gives us is phenomonal.

What ROM are you using. I am currently using Faria's WM6 (The Real Thing) with this radio rom and haven't missed a call yet. With my GPRS connected the call comes thru. If I answer the call, my connection dies out then reconnects automatically. If I ignore the call, the connection stays alive. Also I'm using IPL/SPL 3.08.

Who knows , how to install new rom from bootloader mode ?
Because RUU don't recognize the Wizard when it is in this mode :/
RUU needs ActiveSync , but I can't turn on my wizard :(

You are absolutely wrong here,Radio roms can never kill any device,coz it doesn't have any IPL/SPL in it,it only contains GSM data files,which have got nothing to do with OS and Bootloaders.Devices only get bricked with flashing wrong Bootloaders (IPL/SPL) only or flashing roms which contain IPL/SPL not meant for that particular phone.So stop brooding and false blaming a Radio Rom which is being flashed and used by thousands of users.It must that you must have done something wrong yourself that the phone is in Bootloaders,BTW,its not 'Bricked',as long as it gets into Bootloaders,its still working,only the OS is not getting flashed or booting up.
Secondly.all the roms are flashed/upgraded through Bootloaders,activesync doesn't work and is shut off during flashing automatically by RUU during Rom flash.

Ok , but RUU needs ActiveSync connection to start flashing the phone - I've tested 3 or 4 versions of RUU's (4 roms) with Wizard in BL mode and nothing.

Its very simple, its same as flashing a ROM. Its not lnked with anything.

Just flash it and your radio will be upgraded......

Take your flashink soft, copy new radio's file (.nbk) in to working directory and flash.

Download this rom and connect usb and flash rom and upgrade other rom

As I have posted elsewhere on the fora (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5616338#post5616338), battery usage on 3.02.11 is way bigger than with the older 2.69.11 radio ROM, but the receptions (RSSI) are sleight better.
