in my opinion, it depends on many factors like operator and ROM (OS)

for my tests 02.61.21 is better

but I recomend the new ROM 2.20 with it

I prefer 2.47.

I tried 2.61 for about one week (with smart1's wm6 ROM v2), and found that it took long time to re-connect once it got disconnected (such as in the basement, or subway). And sometimes, even in open area with good signals, it automatically disconnect for a while, then re-connect again. :(

Ahh I was looking for a thread like this

I am at that crossroad as well. I have 2.47.21 installed but now am wondering whether or not if I should move to 2.61.21. I am using the WM6 ROM from Mobiz..i will test this radio ROM out and then from those observations make my decision whether or not to move...:)

Of course user opinions are greatly appreciated
