It times out every time with XP... has anyone had success? Missing Sync for OS X won't work with WM6! (boooo)

you have to reflash it with a wm5 rom.

Get right outa town.. seriously!?!?
Okay in all seriousness, obviously I need to flash my now WM6 device w/ a WM5 ROM. And back to what I said originally, it times out on this update. I've read reports of this problem happening to others as well.

look around, there's probably atleast 2 posts in the last 2 pages about where to get it.

I've already gotten it. That's not the issue, but thanks. Like I said, I have the ROM.
However, the update times out. If you search for that on this message board, you'll see that others have had this problem as well. I'm just looking for some guidance, not someone telling me to "search for it."

yeah, i did it no problem. on vista a tried for like 2 hours straight. then first time on XP worked like a charm. did you let it sync and everyhting first, then try doing it? i believe it helped some people to revert back to the 'upgrade rom' it puts it back to one of the first roms for updating, then going to the newest WM5.

then click 'Dash Files ID=1' then on the bottom you'll see "RUU_Excalibur_SPL-1.11_UpgradeOnly.exe" download that and run it, I tried it on Vista, didn't work, but nothing worked for Vista. It's worth a shot.
