i just reflashed my old pda2k with windows 2003. Man, its fast!!
Jasjar's WM5 is like being in a coma. i wish i could downgrade!
also, memory space on jasjar is pitiful.
isnt universal a few steps above blueangel and supposedly an improvement? lol

WM5 devices have a different memory allocation paradigm.
They no longer use RAM for both Storage and Program memory.
Instead Storage is now Flash memory, not RAM.
This ensures the fact that you don't lose your data even if you totally drain your device battery.
There is a trade-off in terms of longer access time.
XDA Exec is a WM5 device.
Therefore, XDA Exec uses new memory allocation paradigm.
Therefore, forget WM2003 pipe dreams.

it's not completely true. I have seen on cebit 2004 the first prototype of the exec with WM2003 and 128MB RAM.
There are two RAM sockets on the board but since it was only delvired with WM5 only one socket was filled.
Conclusion:
there was once ago a WM2003 for the EXEC but I have never seen it in real world after official publishing
