Windows Mobile in English

hey All !
Its my first post in this forum. I am an student of electrical Engineering in Germany. I just got an XDA neo(WM 5) with my O2 connnection but its all in german. Is there any way to convert it into english or I have to upgrade the ROM. I am new in this PDA world but being an engineering major i would like to delve into technicalities and contributing (later on). Kindly guide me.

Welcome. Start reading wikis and threads. Too many newbies posting questions that are answered 1000th time... READ stickies. READ topics with pages and pages long. Takes a while to read and understand, dont rush into things. do some research. There are risks, take them when you feel comfortible.

Short answer to your question is YES you can get English roms for your device.

To be specific: No, you can't change the language without flashing the ROM.

the FAQ says that in order to backup ROM I should have an Unlocked CID. First of all how to check my CID is locked or not? If my CID is locked can I still backup my ROM.I have a G4.

Use the roms with NoVender ID checks just to be safe. You can always try a country specific rom and see if you get the error (something like not intended for this device type error). Not a big deal, as long as you stay with G4 roms and make sure you follow each rom's instruction carefully.
