Hi there I'am new here.... seached the forum and google a lot but didn't find an answer...

Just flashed from XDALive 2.0 to Black 2.0, radio 1.38.00.10 and HardSPL v6 with help of the manual of mrvanx.

My problem with the rom of XDALive 2.0 was that TomTom 6 keep hanging serveral time. The headset (bluetooth build in CAR, peugeot 207) was working perfectly. After the upgrade to Black 2.0 the TomTom problem was solved , it works perfectly now. The only what came up was the bluetooth headset probleem. The connection is ok but I don't hear any sound??

Flashed back radio ROM to 1.35 no results...

Found something interesting...

When its not connect with the carkit, turn on bluetooth, dail a numbers and turn on the Speaker, it will eventually connect to the carkit automaticly (and I got sound thourgh the carkit!

When searching for bluetooth devices it will find the headset and the carkit goes into 'calling mode'. When dailing a contact directly after that the carkit will work. But the next try it will mute the radio but doesn't give any sound on the carkit.

When allready connected with bluetooth on the carkit it wont give any sound thourgh it.... strange.. Tried serveral other ROMS but they are giving me the same problem...

Widcomm BT Stack (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1072773&postcount=72) also tried, didn't help... anyone some suggestions?

PS.: My old nokia still works, it can't be the carkit..

Question for you. after you setup your carkit do you go into the bluetooth and set it to your handsfree device. There seams to be a few changes to the way WM6 chooses the handsfree device if you have several set up.

I have to change in WM6 bluetooth which headset I am using when I switch between the 3 headset I have. I have to go to Start\Settings\Connections\Bluetooth Click/Hold on my headset that I want to make active - you will get a Menu wit Edit/Delete/Set as Hands-free/Set as Wireless Stereo (last should be grayed out if it doesn't support Strereo)

Choose Set as Hands-free

After doing this my headset works fine. Try it and see if it works for you.

When searching for a new bluetooth device WM6 sees a headset and the connection is successful. The 'Set has headset' is availible and is set. The option Wireless Stereo isn't support I think, its not availible as an option.
When calling you can turn on/off your headset back to the phone. That works but there is still no sound on the headset.

balck 2.0 does have issues. i also have same with motorola hs850.

only just found out. havent fixed.

bt connects as phone pad shows it.

headset bleeps on connect call and disconnect call. but no sound is sent or received.

always set to headset though not hands free.

will have to test further but definitely an issue. i didnt ask jj out of respect for his withdrawl of support.

I don't think it a problem with Black 2.0. Too many people say it works no problem.

I'm on black and all three of my head sets work like a charm. I have 2 Motos an H810 and a H700 and an Plantronics 510. I also have been able to use internet sharing, BT file transfer, and BT sync with Black 2.0

But it could be an incompatability between the WM6 M$ BT stack and your hands free kits.

Test your phones with another BT device and see what you get.

I have exactly the same problem, and I didn't solved yet....but I've found this bypass:

When the phone rings I answer with the bluetooth handset and receive the beeb on connect call.....then I close the BT headset and as soon as I re-open it, I have the headset working.....I have to do this for every incoming or outgoing call.

My BT headset was working well with the black 1.2.

This is the only issue I've found in the black 2.0.....I think is the most stable and fast rom.

Bye prengo.

Just flashed back to XDA-Live (v0.20.1) and the headset works without any problem.

Only thing now is Tom Tom 6 hangs directly after the start of it. Anyone familiar with this issue?

thx

PS.: what is the differance between the Black 2.0 and XDA-Live (v0.20.1) ? other bluetooth driver versions besides the os version? Maybe there is a way to combine..?

I have the exact same problem with my HS850. I get the call connect beeps but no sounds come through. The issue exists if the headset is connected when the call is made. If I make the call, then flip the boom and turn the headset on, then I get sounds no problem.

I had this issue with both LVSW 4-08 and Black 2.0. I eventually went back to XDA Live 0.20.1 and my BT issues all went away.

WMXL .20 is based on a beta WM6 build and Black 2.0 is built on an RTM build (non-beta)

Exactly the same here with HS850. Tried everything after 20070320_RUU_Hermes_WWE_3.23.0.0_1.34.00.10.exe but kept getting no sound.

I have experienced the same problem with my 407 hands free system. My Orange SPV C600 works without a problem, it does not show signal strength and battery level though. Using my M3100 with any of the following listed below works perfectly:

HTC English QTEK_001 2.11.255.1 03/07/07 2.11.255.102 1.38.00.10 32.71.7020.12H OS 15673.3.3.1 AKU 3.3.1

XDA-Live (v0.20.1) English 3.22.110.1 01/04/07 None None 5.1.195 (WM6) OS 17217.6.0.0

I have found all the above roms work perfectly with my TomTom 6.030 software. I am currently using Black Version 2, I have also used LVSW roms and found the same issue with any running the OS 17736.0.2.0

It's great that you tracked this down so specifically. I guess this means for those of us with these issues, we have to avoid newer WM6 builds until someone looks into this. :(

I have the same problem as the others with my HS850. No audio if the headset is on when a call is made or received but if I close the boom and re-open it, viola it works again.

I did have a problem with HTweakC where I changed the A2DP setting to on and now no matter what I do I can't get it off again. I might re-flash and see if that helps.

I don't know if it matters but I have MS voice command on my phone, even though the MSVC16BThack doesn't work anymore. (my phone is an 8525) Hope someone can figure this out, I really like the speed and stability of this ROM but if I can't get my BT to work I'm going to have to downgrade.

I am using Cyberon Voice Commander v2 - maybe that is why it is working for me

Hi,
I am using radio rom 1.40.30 and Black 2.0.
I am using H700 BT headset
the problem i face are opposite from you all.
If i am already talking halfway and i flip the boom to continue talking with the BT headset...it won't work.
if i receive a call and I flip the boom while the phone rings, it is ok and i can even press the button on the h700 to answer the call.
Radio 1.40.30 seems to connect with the BT headset much faster.
last time when i was using my previous default factory rom, when i flip the boom while the phone is ringing, it will take ages to connect

why not u guys try radio rom 1.40.30 also

I did a hard reset, paired the headset, and tried it right away and still had the issue so it's not VC 1.6. It has to be related to the ROM as I have the same Radio ROM for all three OS images and only the XDA Live ROM works correctly.

Sorry, what I meant is that perhaps Cyberon Voice Commander is 'fixing' the issue on my system, rather than saying MS VC 1.6 was causing the problem. Next time I hard reset I will test my headset BEFORE installing cyberon software

Ok I'm still having this problem and this is what I have tried so far:

I downgraded to XDALive v0.10 and my BT worked, but no WiFi
So I upgraded to HardSPL v6, then installed the 1.40.30.00 Radio rom, and then went back to Cingular Black 2.0, WiFi back but no BT unless headset is activated after call is initiated.
Installed Cyberon Voice Commander, didn't effect anything, still no BT
Removed Cyberon Voice Commander and re-installed MS VC 1.6 installed all the hacks and still no audio in the headset.

So it looks like it is something in the ROM that is killing the BT functionality. Maybe because the XDALive is based on a beta WM6 and the Black is based on a full version?

**Update**

I downgraded from Black 2.0 back to Black 1.2, installed M$ Voice command 1.6 and all appropriate hacks and I have my BT functionality back. There must be something in the BT stack between the beta release WM6 roms and the public release WM6 roms. I don't know if this helps anyone.

And Radio 1.40.30.00. My BT has been rock solid since updating the radio.
I used Jules patch for VC and I'm running Black 2.0.

Search the forums and you'll find what you need to get things working.

It is not the BT stack, it is a known issue with RTM. VC was included in Crossbow. I personally like it better than Cyberon. You don't have to train VC.

jcb_home, you use plantronics 510 with no issues? I have the 510 and my headset doesn't get connected on an incoming call. If I refresh the BT device listing it will then work. It's odd but it happened before I blew Black onto the unit so it's not this ROM. Was going to get a new headset but if you use the 510 then may rule that out.

If you are talking about the VC 1.6 and WM6 patch that was first introduced for XDA Live .20, that's not the issue. I already run that and have tried that to solve this problem. If it's another patch, can you point to the post or at least the filename?

The issue isn't with VC. We get the problem without VC installed. I've done hard resets, an immediate pairing with my HS850, and I still have the audio issue (not VC prompts but all audio). VC is NOT included in Crossbow. I do believe it's a ROM issue but it seems to be device specific, primarily with the HS850.

The HS850 doesn't show a wireless stereo option. It only has hands-free and serial port and only hands-free is checked in general. Thanks anyway.

ZaJules packaged a fix into a one-step CAB. If you would search, you will find. However, since you say that you've tried this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296762&page=2&highlight=zajules+bluetooth+cab) already....

Good luck with it. It solved my issues. But, please read the entire procedure.

I did read the procedure. Please read my entire post. As I wrote above, I've already tried that fix. That fix is to get VC 1.6 working in WM6. As I wrote above, this is not a VC problem. That fix is for issues with VC command routing to the headset. The reason I couldn't search for it is that you wrote "Jules" before and that term is too short for the search. Searching for Bluetooth headset shows this thread. ZaJules thread is a VC thread, which isn't this problem.

If you read the post you quoted (and my other posts), you will see that this problem is with all audio being properly routed if the headset (or specifically, the HS850) is paired before the call is answered. As others have noted, the problems exists right after a hard reset, with or without VC installed, and even with or without Cyberon installed.

i've tried both black 2.0 and 2.5. i have 2 different bt devices (one's a handsfree carkit, one is a standalone handsfree).

the bt carkit gives me problem 99% of the time (ie no sound send/received, although connected). the standalone bt handsfree works fine all the time.

both worked 100% while i was on wm5. thus i belief MS has broken something in the bt stack within wm6.

I think it is the problem from the M$ bt stack...

...thus i belief MS has broken something in the bt stack within wm6.

Couldn't agree more. My BT Headset, a GN Netcom GN6210, worked fine on my JasJam under WM5. If it was turned on & I answered the phone from the phone itself (as opposed to using the headset button), it would automatically transfer to the headset every time. Got me a few times until I learned to turn the headset off when not in use. Answering from the headset always worked as expected.

Under WM6, answering from the phone doesn't transfer to the headset at all & trying to get a call to transfer to the headset is a real pain. If I answer from the headset, the call will still often transfer back to the phone for no apparent reason.

In my opinion, the BT stack in WM6 is definitely lacking something compared to WM5.

Has anyone made any progress on this problem? I don't really feel like getting another headset if it is not the headsets problem. All ROMs that have come out after this conversation exhibit the same problems. Even Black Dymond.

I've tried:

Black 3.0, 3.01, Dymond

i ran this fix and it does pass some sound to the bt head set like
the voice dial prompt. things such as time come out the phone speaker.

is this the way the program works?
i really want to find some thing that will let me listen to music or my sling box using my mono bt head set while having ms voice 1.6 installed.

it seems since i have installed ms voice 1.6 all the other bt patches fail to work. with this fix i get some sound until the voice command times out.

Any update on the WM6 + HS850 issue? Anyone found a WM6 that works with it? So far, I've only tested the latest LSVW and Black releases, both of which failed :(

Any way for someone to extract the BT drivers from an older WM6 release as those seemed to work?

Hello. I'm using a Cingular 8525 with Schaps 3.54c. I have 2 bluetooth headsets. One is a Motorola S9 (stereo headset, but can use for phone calls), and the other is a Motorola H300 (old headset that takes a AAA battery). Before flashing Schaps last week, I was still using the manufacturer's WM5 operating system, and both headsets worked perfectly. Upon upgrading I have the following problems with both headsets:

The headsets appear to work, however if left idle for a long time, or if turned off and turned back on, I have to soft reset the phone in order to make calls with the headset.

I am using Cyberon Voice Speed Dial 1.2 that I pulled from Vp3G's addon package. Cyberon is working fine, and I can activate it using the PTT button on the phone at any time with no problems. The problem is activating it from the headset (and being able to use the headset in general). Note that in order to get Cyberon to work properly after installation I had to add the following registry keys:

HKLM\Software\OEM\VoiceCommand\
dword: Path; value: \Windows\SDDialer.exe
dword: PathBak; value: \Windows\SDDialer.exe

Has anyone made any progress with this issue, or has this been fixed in the latest ROM version? I chose to stay with 3.54c because it uses OS 5.2.1437 build 17944.0.3.1 which is what the latest official ROM from Cingular is based off of...

Update: I've been fooling with this for awhile, and I was wrong about the idle time. Since I recently flashed the ROM, I've been doing alot of configuration changes every now and then. But I THINK that now that I've left it alone, it seems to be working OK. Ever since my last soft reset, I've been able to use my headset normally. Note that I haven't turned it off, or made any kind of configuration change ... I'm beginning to suspect that the problem is Schap's Advanced Configuration Manager, and possibly the Bluetooth settings it sets (and probably re-sets) every time you hit the "done" button. I'm a little afraid to test it out because now that its working I don't want to break it, but I'll have to make a change sooner or later and when I do I'll come back to update ...

Again I haven't turned the headset off yet so I have yet to see whether that will kill it yet ...

Hi together,
i've also have problems with my SE HBH DS980 BT Headset.
It give me the ringtone in ear, but i cant talk...???
I'm using Schaps 330c and had also the pb that musik playing is
skipping...
This pb is solved by Schaps tip
(I only added some A2DP settings from original ROM to offer best A2DP performance, but maybe those settings are not compatible or optimal for your BT earphones. Go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2DP\Settings in registry and delete the following values: UseJointStereo, SampleRate, MaxSupportedBitPool, BitPool, it may fix the problem.) ...thats fix the skipping pb but not the using free talk function...
for any tipps i was thankfull and hope the posted tipp is helpfull for someone..

best regards to all...

Same problem like cruzer. After update to official WM6 ROM the bluetooth connection with Peugeot 207 works, but when I dial on my car, my TyTn connects and there's no sound. When I dial directly on TyTn it works.

(unsatisfactory) temporarily solution: After one call that was dialed directly on TyTn I can dial and call on car (with sound).

Bevore update I had no issues.

OK, I've been messin around a bit more and I think I can confirm that I don't lose my Bluetooth functionality until I either open the "phone" configuration settings under "settings", or unless I open Schap's Advanced configuration Manager. If I do have to open these, I lose Bluetooth connectivity until I reset the headset as "hands-free" and then soft reset. After that it goes back to normal unless I try to make a configuration change.

There must be something about the added configuration changes that it doesn't like that is reset at boot ...

Microsoft VC 1.6...I have tried to install on almost every rom I have put on my Hermes and Wizard. There is only one rom that I have had no problems with staying connected to my Bluetooth CarKit...U-Connect put out by Chrysler,,,, and it is on my Wizard 8125. The rom was built on a T-MO MDA that was part of an exclusive microsoft sanctioned upgrade program. Ported here by InGeNeTiCs, OS:10.1.0.811 from Howard Forum.VC 1.6 was built into this rom, OS:10.1.0.811 and works like it should. I just recently flashed Satin back on my Hermes and TNT on my Wizard and gave up both times trying to get VC 1.6 to work properly with my U-Connect. I would get into my car, Pair it, call someone and after about 2 min, I would loose the connection. Happens everytime with all roms except OS:10.1.0.811.....Cyberon does not have any issues at all so I use Cyberon Voice commander.

I to had the same problems as Pumpiron579..

However, I do not have the U-Connect Car Kit. But a Pioneer BT Unit2 Kit and Stereo... And after about 2 months of frustration I called Pioneer and the told me that it was a known issue with WM6.

They also suggested I go to this website: www.jetwaremobile.com and try there extension (1.31) and it should fix the problem... Unfortunately it's not free :( (around $15) but they do have a trial period so you can see if it works for you...

I know that since I've installed it I can now use VC 1.6 via my car stereo as long as both the phone and the wireless stereo are connected.

The only draw back is the phone cannot be in hibernation or off for voice command to work.

The phone works great because it wakes on its own during incoming or outgoing calls. Because I have 2 ports on my car stereo I can connect the Wireless stereo to BT Audio and the Handsfree to BT Phone on the stereo.

I've also found that the extension was helpful with using my Motorola HT820 Stereo headset when switching from PC Music to phone calls automatically.

Good Luck!

That is nice to know, Thanks
But, with OS:10.1.0.811 M$ wizard WM6 (build 15342), That is on my Wizard, I have no problems at all with VC 1.6. So I know that it can be done without any patches.

Mio C520 SatNav has the same bluetooth problem.
My Jasjam with WM6 Black Satin and bluetooth handsfree does not work properly. Phone connects but no sound or voice. Tried many different options and patches recommended on the forums, but alas :(
Seems I will have to go back to WM5.

Thanks.
Tried Sleuths ROM, but no go. I did have sound on some occasions and sometimes the sound would kick in after about 10sec.
Also tried some other WM6 versions but none would work with my Mio C520 bluetooth.
Went back to original WM5 (Telstra) and all works fine again. I will have to wait until there is a fix.

If you are using the Bluetooth headset, “Jabra JX10”, “Jabra BT500” or “Samsung WEP 150”, and the headset becomes out of range or undetected by the HTC Touch Cruise, in certain circumstances, you may be unable to hear any sound from the headset even after it has reconnected successfully with HTC Touch Cruise. Please install this hot fix to improve the connection when using the above-mentioned Bluetooth headsets.
