I'm having trouble with the wifi after upgrading to this ROM.

It connects to wifi networks, but it won't load any web pages while connected. I couldn't find any setting I could change to make it work.

Make sure that you select "Best Performance" in Start -> Settings -> Connections (tab) -> Wireless LAN -> Power Mode (tab). This has been an ongoing issue since the first TyTN ROM (1.18 I believe).

2 - Before install MSN Messenger to access to Windows folder takes about 2 sec. After install this software to access to Windows takes about 9 sec.
Same here, plus: Bluetooth disconnects randomly. There's something iffy on 0408.

Thank you LVSW for making an excellent rom.

There is one little snag that turned up after updating to this ROM. Activesync keeps synchronizing indefinitely and on the device it says "waiting for network".

When searching the forum I came across different solutions:
- go to connection settings, usb to pc and disabling advanced network functionality.
- disable firewall.
- remove profile in activesync on desktop.
- remove profile in activesync on windows mobile.
- reinstall activesync.
- reinstall office.

Unfortunately, none of these solutions work. Finally I reinstalled windows from scratch and did a complete erase on the device. On first connect after the reinstall, the synchronization worked flawlessly. But directly after that the problem reappeared.

I didn't have this problem with any of the earlier ROMs. Any idea what might be causing this?

Thanks!
Just wanted to let you guys know I found the solution to this problem here:

I've just upgraded my Radio-ROM to 1.4... the CustomRUU works fine under Vista... can anyone buil a package with LVSW with newest CustomRUU? So we can make a ROM-Upgrade under Vista by simply clicking the exe ;-)It already has it, but you can always grab the latest RUU, your favorite .nbh, and go for it. :)

I'm about to do an upgrade on my iMate JasJam to this ROM, but I've got a couple of questions (regarding a guide on an Australian Forum)

Now the questions:
The Hard-SPL thats linked to in the first post is only 1.04 but Baker said it was the friendliest for hacks... Is this still the case or should I use 1.10 or 1.40?

Also is SIM_CID Unlock 3a fine? I think it is but i'm just checking so i don't damage my phone...

This is the instructions (well the first two steps that my questions relate to) from Overclockers Australia Forums... (http://forums.overclockers.com.au/showthread.php?t=555882)

# Protection measures - prevent device bricking - if you follow the instructions that I have put here properly, there is no chance of you bricking your device. However, if you accidentally pull the cable out while flashing, or have a blackout, its best to be prepared so that you can try and recover your device! The best way to do this is to flash Hard-SPL by Olipro. This modified bootloader is based on version 1.04, which is the most hack-friendly bootloader - however this specially modified bootloader removes some issues that can make it hard to recover from a "bricking". You can download it here (hosted on my server), to install it simply plug your device into your computer and let Activesync connect, extract the zip file, and run ROMUpgradeUt.exe from the extracted archive. Follow the prompts, when it starts flashing it'll only take about 2 seconds to flash.
# Unlocking your phone - this allows you to use SIM cards from any carrier. pof has made a free unlocker, which also gives you SuperCID status (allowing you to flash any ROM you please, regardless of manufacturer/country). Its very simple to do - simply download this file, plug your device into your computer and let Activesync connect, and run AUTO_Unlock_v3.bat - follow the prompts!

Hello! This version has a lot of improvements over the last one, but also quite a big problem (at least for me). I am not using "smart dialing" at all. I disable this as soon as I get my hands on the phone. The reason I am doing this is because the phone application works much slower if I want to type a number.

In the previous LVSW version when I was disabling the smart dialing I was still able to open the keyboard and, while in the Today screen, type the name of a person. This was working amazingly fast and well.

In the current LVSW version, after disabling smart dialing, the search feature when the PDA has the Today screen displayed is not working anymore. After typing a few letters all I get is a scrollbar on the left and a blocked Today.

This problem appears on three HTC Hermes phones... Any solution?

Daniel

P.S. Another problem is listed here. If someone has a few moments to take a look at this one too... :( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=302929

I'm just suprised that that not many have posted issue regarding PA wi-fi toggle not working on this ROM, although it's apparantly been fixed on this ROM, hence I'm still using the test version that was released just before this one which works fine for me, infact I would far as go to say this has been the most stable ROM to date, it's been 3 weeks and I have yet to do a soft reset considering I've got notorious SPB apps installed.:-)

gfreek,
Unless this has been answered somewhere, the solution is change the number of rows in CommManager from 5 to 4 (pls retain the relative positions of all the components present in PA). You can do it by manually changing the registry /HKLM/Software/HTC/CommManager/SupportedFunctions from 9 to 8

Thanks nallyvaico. I actually used an altenative registry tweak which didn't work, I wasn't aware of this one ahwell it's too late can't be arsed to re-flash this ROM. I'll wait for the next version.

Love the build - the best yet (and I've sampled quite a few already!)

Just one thing tho, it seems to be missing the windows update feature that all the others have. There's a link to Windows Live on here but that only installs the Windows Live features, not the Windows Update itself.

Does anyone have a cab that I can install to get this feature working?

it could be anything of the registry set incorrectly or bad software install on your device.
but, you can try perform the hard reset on the device, and re-install your favorite programs. it is one of the option that will fix your problem.

Agree. That could be quite a few things going bad.
But when you are able to send SMS, MMS, BlackBerry and POP3 e-mails, but not able to use a "new" feature SMS contact from Address book - that gives us some food for thoughts and smthng to check

Unchecking 'sms delivery notify' and soft resetting does not appear to work. It did work in the previous version. Is this a known issue?
